New Employee
The next day they met at a small drinks cafe. Lunar became the second person to come. She stared in astonishment at the empty surroundings without any customers.
"I rented this place to be able to talk to you here."
The question that had been on Lunar's mind had been answered. She focused back on the purpose of arrival. Actually, she still couldn't answer for sure, but last night she had promised to say it today.
"You can answer that later. For now we better order drinks. I want to know how your life is overseas."
They just sat there until the drinks were finished. There are two different tastes on the table. Lunar chose drinks containing soda, while Arkan chose drinks containing caffeine.
"No wonder I couldn't find you. You have decided to go overseas."
"I continued my studies there and decided to work at home. Oh!" Lunar took an envelope out of the bag, then handed it out. "This is the money that Sora took from you. She has separated from her husband. So, please don't take it personally about her behavior last night."
Arkan only glanced briefly at the envelope before looking at Lunar. "I told you not to think about it, but you don't seem willing to give up on paying me back."
"I just feel bad for you about Sora's attitude last night. Please accept it so I don't think about it anymore."
Arkan thought for a moment before taking the envelope. "Do you have a husband? Or a lover?"
Such a sudden question made Lunar silent for a long time. It made her think about what had happened to her overseas. While away from Arkan, she had a relationship with several men. Nothing lasts long because indeed she only accepts without being able to give her heart.
"Is your marriage with Raya going well?"
Arkan still didn't get the answer to the question just now, but he chose not to rush. "We are not married. I decided to end our relationship before it's too late. If you ask the reason, it's because I realized the feelings I have for you. It's really late and I'm determined to confess my feelings to you one day."
Lunar took the cold glass that was on the table, then sipped its contents. Right now she was thinking for a long time about how to face Arkan. Moreover indirectly she received a declaration of love from the man who became her husband first.
"What about you? Are you really married to Nico?"
Lunar shook her head confidently. "Nico already has a wife. Luckily I found out quickly."
"Wife?"
Lunar remembers the time she overheard her sister talking to Nico. They both plan to separate her from Arkan. However, fate said otherwise because she had already been dumped.
Since then everything has changed a lot, Lunar complained about all of that to her parents. She gets her father as a party to defend her, while her mother doesn't believe that Sora wants to destroy her life. So, there are two camps in the house to date.
The situation became even more complicated when Sora decided to separate from her husband. Sora had wanted to reach Arkan again, but Lunar who was already indebted to Arkan, tried to thwart her sister's bad plans.
Lunar thought that she and Arkan no longer had a relationship. Like the wish at the beginning of the agreement, they will become strangers. It's enough for her to be a nuisance in Arkan's life.
"Nico is married to a hotel clerk who I'm telling you. At the same time he also confessed his feelings to me.”
Arkan clenched his fists, venting anger. "Tell me where he is now. His actions are totally inexcusable."
"I've forgotten about that matter."
"Easy as that? He had slept with another woman right when the wedding was taking place, then approached you in a married state."
Lunar looked around to make sure no one had heard. All the employees seemed deliberately indifferent as if they didn't hear what they were talking about.
"I don't want to relive bad events anymore. We can forget about them from now on."
"Does that include me?"
The absence of an answer made Arkan even more frustrated.
"Even after I told you how I feel in my heart?"
"I'm sorry. Let's just end this meeting." Lunar got up from her seat, then left the cafe in a sad state.
Arkan sat there languidly with two glasses of drink. He's been rejected. Was this also how Lunar felt when she suddenly decided to separate. Very suffocating. Very sad.

After several days passed, Arkan still couldn't forget the incident at the cafe. His sadness remains the same to this day. He is already like a chicken that will die tomorrow.
"Sir, don't you have an appointment with Miss Raya today?"
Arkan propped up his chin and his mind went into a long dream. "Don't you like Raya? You can replace me."
Secretary Ham lowered his head. Honestly, he was really happy. Can act openly to approach Raya after expressing her feelings. At that time Arkan did not look angry at all even though he was so tense what if Arkan found out later.
"All right, Sir. I'll make sure that Miss Raya gets to the airport safely tomorrow."
The door to the room closed after his secretary disappeared from view. Arkan just silent without doing anything in his room for some time. Breaking up is very painful to the point that he loses enthusiasm for work.
Arkan lowered his head briefly before lifting it up vigorously. He got up from his seat and immediately got rid of what had been surrounding his mind since earlier. He must rise. This is not the end.
Arkan left the room with a big smile. Everyone there greeted him with respect. Royal Gray employees seem very busy doing their individual jobs.
His steps stopped at one point. The smile instantly faded. Arkan turned around, then glanced at an employee who was busy working. The female clerk wore glasses, her hair pulled back in a ponytail, and a light brown formal dress with a short, above-the-knee skirt.
He approached the employee who was still not aware of his presence. He have to knock on the table to wake the employee up. Now, he could clearly see which employee he was attracted to.
Arkan folded arms across his chest and raised an eyebrow. For now, he was not at all happy.
"Good afternoon," said Arkin.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Arkan."
The woman glanced at the people around who had made them the center of attention.
Arkin raised an eyebrow. "Who made you work in my company, Lunar?"
Arkan can not be lied to. Almost a year of living together staring at each other's bodies, impossible to forget so quickly. Just one look had made him know that the employee who had never been seen in his company was Lunar.
"Master Damien Grey." Lunar was forced to say it.
Arkan grinned. "Again, my father? He made up a new scenario for me."
Lunar was unable to raise her gaze. She thought that their meeting was too soon. How will she live her life after this?
