Honeymoon and Worries
Lunar and Arkan slept hugging each other, lost in each other's thoughts. They don't want time to pass quickly, so they stay in that position for a long time.
Lunar pressed her body against her husband. Arkan's heart beat was just as fast. it made her curious about their earlier conversation. She also raised her head, looked at Arkan's chin which was covered in fine hairs that were almost invisible if not looked at closely.
"You said that you were jealous when I was with Rian, then what about before with Nico? You weren't jealous?"
Arkan shifted so he could look at Lunar and said, "Rather than being jealous, I'm more irritated. Nico has betrayed you and treated you badly, but you two are walking together like lovers. I just don't want you to end up living with a guy like him."
Lunar felt warm from the attention, impulse pulled her to kiss Arkan's chin. They looked at each other affectionately, then hugged again.
"Actually, I still feel sorry for Raya. She must really hate me, right?"
The day Arkan canceled his marriage to Raya, the woman was very angry. He is slapped and Raya nearly injures herself. Everything was very chaotic, Raya's tears were also unstoppable for a long time. Not only Lunar, Arkan also felt guilty for what happened.
Even so, he couldn't lie to the feeling that he had fallen in love with Lunar. He doesn't want to be Raya's husband in a state of thinking about other women. It was better for him to say it from the start before Raya's future was completely destroyed in his hands.
Raya doesn't forget her that quickly, because she is still being contacted and given attention by the woman. He had felt that they were no different from breaking up, because Raya's attitude showed that she still wanted him. Because of that, he always ignores it so that Raya doesn't get hope for their broken relationship.
"I thought about talking to her and apologizing in person, but I still don't have the courage to do so."
"You don't have to push yourself. You can do it later when you're really ready."
Luna nodded her head, while drowsiness had begun to sink her into the world of dreams. No more sound, Arkan saw Lunar's condition and found his wife asleep.
Arkan is indeed selfish, not letting his wife rest. Whereas, he knew that they were supposed to be resting after such a hot night before today.
"Good night, my wife," said Arkan, then kissed his wife's head.
Day after day passed, it was time for the honeymoon to begin. Lunar is busy packing things they will use later, while Arkan is still in the office.
Lunar glanced at the wall clock, it was past lunch time. She was so engrossed that she forgot to fill her stomach. However, in her mind right now was Arkan.
Arkan has an urgent job that has kept the man busy since the last two days. Would they be able to do the honeymoon at this rate? He had said not to force their departure, but Arkan insisted.
Lunar checked her cell phone, found no reply after their last communication this morning. "I hope he hasn't left lunch," she muttered.
Lunar kept busy that day until the evening. She still didn't get any reply. Arkan said that today he would come home from out of town, but until the clock struck eleven at night he still had not appeared.
Lunar became worried, afraid that something bad would happen to Arkan. She was even more worried when she found Arkan's cell phone which could not be contacted, so she immediately contacted Secretary Ham.
"Hello, Madam?" The voice on the other end sounded heavy as if the sleepy Secretary Ham had been awakened by it.
"Are you guys still out of town?"
"Out of town? Ah, right, we went out of town. Sir Arkan allowed me to go home early, because I had some urgent family business. What's wrong?"
"I can't contact Arkan. This morning, he said he would be home tonight, but it's past eleven and still hasn't shown up."
"Ah, sorry, Madam. I rested for quite a while and am a bit absent-minded now. Okay, I will find out Sir Arkan's whereabouts and call you back later."
"I hope you can give me an answer soon, because I'm really worried."
The phone call ended there. Lunar does not take her eyes off the phone. She wanted to pick up Secretary Ham's call right away when he called back.
The flashing cell phone screen caught Lunar's attention. She saw Secretary Ham's name written on it, then she rushed to receive the phone call.
"Sir Arkan had an accident. I...."
Lunar was surprised, not really listening to Secretary Ham's words after that. When she woke up, she immediately brought the phone to her ear again.
"Did you hear me?"
"H-how is Arkan's condition?"
"I haven't got any information on that. I'll pick you up now and then we'll both see."
Lunar didn't care about anything else anymore. She grabbed her coat and put it on as she walked out of the house. The maids watched her, but no one could dig up any information as to what had happened.
Lunar was waiting for Secretary Ham outside, arriving after ten minutes had passed. Without thinking she got into the car and traveled about fifteen minutes to the hospital.
Lunar was so worried that she didn't think to break the silence. Secretary Ham also understood that they shouldn't talk much and waited for news about Arkan's condition.
Arriving at the hospital, Secretary Ham asked which room Arkan was in. They get information that the person they want to meet was recently rushed to the hospital after having an accident. Lunar and Secretary Ham were led to the patient's room.
Unlike what was feared, now Arkan was sitting on his bed with his left hand in a cast. He was surprised to see Lunar when the bedroom door opened. There was not only him, but also his father.
Lunar rushed to hug Arkan, while her eyes were wet with crying. She was very worried, on the other hand she was relieved because she could still see Arkan.
"I immediately picked up your wife when I heard from the company that you had an accident." Secretary Ham said.
"I told them." Damien said.
Arkan wanted to explain the situation, but seeing Lunar still didn't want to let go of the hug made his intention delayed. His wife must be very worried and he knew that at a time like this it was better to be careful lest Lunar's grief deepen.
"What really happened, Arkan?" asked Lunar in the end.
