Since Then I'm Jealous
Lunar was dumbfounded watching Arkan walk away from her. She didn't get any answers yet, so where would Arkan go?
The worried Arkan went to the Lunar family. He faced them with a serious face. Everyone was surprised when Arkan bowed his head deeply. Who would have thought that a person who should be respected is now showing his humility?
"Allow me to take Lunar. I have been a very disappointing person, but please allow me to fix it and become a better person with Lunar."
Lunar's father had been tense earlier, then heard Arkan's expression of feelings and that serious attitude made his heart soften. He had worries as a parent, but letting Lunar live his life out there independently was certainly his daughter's right.
"Take her and make her happy. One thing you have to remember is that we left it with you, it means we also trust you. Don't betray our trust and be a person who can be trusted."
"I will do it."
Arkan turned around, walked over to Lunar who had caught up with him. They looked at each other in warm hearts. Now, there is no guardrail of their love.
That day, Arkan brought Lunar to his house, because he wanted to be there when the household ship was going through. While the apartment that had witnessed their closeness would become the occasional visiting spot.
The maids who used to ignore Lunar the first day she set foot there, now bowed respectfully to her. Lunar didn't know that one day she would return to that house.
"How Raya?" asked Lunar, realizing that previously Raya was living in Arkan's house.
"Raya? Why suddenly ask?"
"Doesn't she live here?"
"Not anymore. After I called off the wedding, she decided to move out."
"Is it true?"
Arkan gave the suitcase to the waiter, asking her to tidy up Lunar's things. He grabbed Lunar's hand, then brought her to the top floor.
"Come here, follow me!"
"Where are we going?"
"You'll see."
They reach a room. Lunar's memories looked familiar, but she saw so many discrepancies that she couldn't be sure about them.
"You remember this room?"
"I don't know, I'm not sure."
"This was Raya's room before."
"Ah, I already guessed it in my heart earlier. What happened to this room?"
"I changed it."
"Why?"
"Because I think if we stay here, it's better not to leave about my old love story. You might get jealous if I keep Raya's room."
"Am I that kind of person? I stole you from Raya. If she decides to stay here again, that's fine."
"Then, showing our affection to her?"
"That's not what I meant." Lunar pursed her lips.
"Now there's no need to think about anything else. We live in here now."
Arkan hugged Lunar, then said in a low voice, "We have to make plans going forward regarding our marriage."
"What is it?"
"Kid, we have to make it while we can."
Lunar laughed. "Really, later can not?"
"I want to enjoy it often, so if possible start from now when my spirits are high. Should we move to our room or stay here?"
"W-wait! Now?"
"Yes. Don't you want to?"
Lunar pushed Arkan away. "Not that I didn't want to, but we just did last night. Now that I've been through a lot of stress, I feel tired too."
"Can we call it just now? Last night until now it seems so long for me to wait for you."
Lunar shook her head. "I didn't know my husband was so passionate."
"My heart is very happy right now. Those of us who were separated can finally be reunited. I want to celebrate."
"How do you want to celebrate?"
"Honeymoon? We've never done one."
"We've done it on holidays and also when we've been to the mountains."
"Does that count as a honeymoon? You know what happened at the time. We were in a really bad mood about the situation. I don't want a honeymoon like that."
"How about on the mountain? It was a lovely honeymoon."
"You think that's fun? I didn't know that we were going to climb the mountain, didn't prepare anything, plus the feeling of jealousy that I experienced because you were close to Rian."
"I—I..."
Lunar thought for a moment, it's true that she was close to Rian. Only, it wasn't what Arkan had imagined. They only talked about lodging. She didn't know that Arkan would be jealous just for that.
"Wait, you were jealous back then?"
"What I feel, I don't like you being close to him. At that time, I thought that he likes you."
Lunar laughed out loud. "Likes me? Rian already has a wife. How can he like me?"
"That was when I didn't know that he already had a wife," said Arkan feeling irritated. "After all, even a married person can like someone else. There's no law against that."
"That's true, but I really don't have any relationship with Rian. I can prove it when we meet him later."
"I know. While talking to him, I realized that my worries were insignificant. Still it wasn't the honeymoon day I was expecting."
"All right, all right. So, what kind of honeymoon do you want? Let's do it."
"What kind of honeymoon do you want?" Arkan asked back.
"I love everything when I'm with you, even if we're just in this house, that's not a problem for me."
Arkan was silent for a moment before smiling. "I'm lucky to have you so sedentary."
"So, before that you had a very whimsical ex, huh?"
"I only have Raya as a ex. It can't be said to be very whimsical, but she will be unhappy if her wishes are not obeyed."
"Ah, I think every woman has a side like that. They need attention from their partner or are unhappy because they miss them. It's not something negative when you think about it."
"That's right. We'll see how the Lunar side will be."
They hugged each other, then continued with romance on the bed. Arkan touched Lunar's back gently, pushing their bodies to be close. The seated Lunar held both Arkan's shoulders.
Their kiss stopped for a moment so they could look at each other, in their eyes there was only a warm feeling, they were drowning in the ocean of married love that they had never wanted.
"I love you," they said in unison.
Arkan and Lunar both laughed, not expecting that they would say the same thing. After that, they kissed again, slowly heading into a long blissful night.
