I Like Her

Arkan and Lunar were very happy to receive the news of their pregnancy, as well as their families. Lunar is very well cared for, because the fetus in Lunar's womb will be the first grandchild.

Even so, they still do what is called intimate relationships. It's like a teenager who just felt love, they don't stop moving away from each other. The days are happy togetherness between them as husband and wife.

Their hearts were still beating fast until now, their gazes were also full of love. However, they couldn't continue their kiss in study, as it would be critical if someone came in later.

Lunar understood the situation, then got up from Arkan's thigh, but the man kept her from going. Lunar hasn't been with him for a long time and they already have to separate, making Arkan not want to spend time alone until work is over.

"Should we just go home and continue at home?" Arkan said.

"You know we can't do it. I still want to work here. HDR has warned us and we better not get off that track. You know how hard it was for me to get a job, even my parents married me off. I don't want to waste this opportunity."

"Okay, I understand and won't ask you again to do anything you don't want. You can work without my interrupting, but don't forget to come to my room once in a while. I want to see the condition of our baby in your stomach."

Lunar smiled. "Is that your only excuse. You just wanted to do something like this with me, didn't you?"

Arkan chuckled. "Not completely, I really want to see the condition of our baby."

Lunar squinted. "I don't believe it."

Arkan tucked Lunar's hair behind her ear. "Why is my wife looking more and more beautiful every day?"

"You want to seduce me again, don't you?"

Lunar smoothed her husband's tie, then said, "I overheard the employees' conversation during recess. They were talking about us."

"Talking about us?"

"Yeah, that's not a good thing."

Arkan started serious look on his face. "What did they say?"

"They think that I stole you from Raya. That's true, but somehow I feel sad when I hear that."

"Who's that employee? I'll give him instructions not to say anything else."

Lunar shook her head. "No, it seems we have to announce our relationship, because the notion that I stole you from Raya is widespread in the office."

"Really? I didn't know. Secretary Ham... doesn't he intend to work anymore? In fact, there is no news about this. Her was behaving strangely like a scowling woman and now I don't know where he is."

After grumbling, Arkan let out a long breath, looking at Lunar who had an agitated expression. He held both Lunar's shoulders as if to calm her down.

"Okay, we'll announce it soon. You're ready for that, right? There will definitely be a difference you get and it might hurt your performance. I don't want to care about employee performance now, because you are my wife in this position. We also need to protect hopeful babies in your womb. I hope you are alright."

"That's better than hearing them talk about me from behind at the very least, they'll feel guilty, for talking about the wife of their own boss."

The sound of a knock on the door made Lunar immediately get up from her husband's thighs, while Arkan just looked on in surprise. An employee who had talked about Lunar came into the room and was surprised to find Lunar there too. The employee smelled suspicion, especially when she saw his boss holding Lunar's hand.

What the employee didn't know was that Arkan was holding Lunar's hand so his wife wouldn't fall after standing up so suddenly. Lunar immediately left then in a hurry. Arkan was quite irritated, because he felt that his time with Lunar was being disturbed.

Days before announcing his relationship with Lunar, Arkan contacted Secretary Ham. He had been patient for a long time and it felt like he was at his limit now.

Secretary Ham gave various reasons for not being able to meet his boss, but this time Arkan came on his own to his secretary's residence so there would be no more rejections.

They sat in the living room, Secretary Ham didn't want to look at his boss, while Arkan was observing his secretary while thinking about the wrong thing about their relationship as colleagues.

"Since when did the Royal Gray secretary go on sabbatical? I didn't even give permission and what's worse, you didn't tell me."

"Shouldn't I?"

"I didn't say that. To do leave requires a procedure where your work has to be transferred to someone else. You can't take sudden leave, because it will upset the balance of the company. Your position is quite important in the company and it's best not to leave for a long time.

Even so, I admit that you've been very diligent over the past few years and rarely take time off. Thus, wouldn't it be surprising if you suddenly took a sabbatical?"

"I just want to rest."

Seeing that there was no intention to cooperate, Arkan finally said, "Then rest for a long time," he getting up from the sofa.

Secretary Ham watched his boss walk away, while he grew increasingly agitated. "A-are you firing me? I've served so long in Royal Grey, and yet you fire me?"

Arkan turned around, looked at Secretary Ham who looked surprised by his decision. It was indeed a sudden decision and now he thinks that he only needs employees he can do business with without fuss.

"Don't you want to rest? So, I'm giving you some time to rest. If you're done, then you can send your application letter to the company. Your qualifications are good enough to be accepted again, let's hope there aren't any other applicants whose qualifications are above yours. When you think about it, the education system is getting better now. The enthusiasm of the fresh graduates will be very beneficial for the company."

"I'm also passionate and useful for the company."

"Then get back to work and don't do anything as useless as staying in your house."

Secretary Ham was about to speak, but he hesitated and had just been looking the other way in thought. Arkan didn't press for an answer, so he kept waiting until Secretary Ham told him the reason for his attitude.

"This is all because of you."

"Because of me? What have I done, anyway?"

"I'm disappointed in you, for hurting Raya. On the other hand, I am very grateful, because you finally chose Lunar."

Arkan didn't quite understand what Secretary Ham was saying. It's true, he often asked Secretary Ham to communicate with Raya, all for the sake of him being able to keep an eye on her.

"I didn't know you would be so loyal to Raya. Your relationship must have gone well when I asked you to do this and that for Raya. Thank you, Secretary Ham, I owe you one."

"It's not just about loyalty. I like Raya, it's been so long, even when you two were still in a relationship."
