HYBRID TIMBER 12
Eva was so overwhelmed by the wonderful sensations Timber made her feel that she didn't even notice the possessive way he called her mine . A short time later, the male lay on his back on the mat and pulled Eva to lie against his chest after they had sex twice more. The wind began to blow cooler as night approached and Eva snuggled closer to it.
- What time is it? Is your cell phone nearby? she asked, knowing that at eight she would have to find Bruce.
- I'll see now. Timber moved to dig his cell phone out of the pocket of the pants thrown next to him. Six-thirty.
Eve yawned.
- I need to go home. he murmured a lament.
- Stay a little more. I really wanted you to spend the night with me.
“I have to go, Timber. Unfortunately this is not a possibility for me.
He didn't want to see her leave so soon. He wanted her until morning. Her scent all over his body and the scent of the sex they'd shared was stirring all his instincts, the ones that sometimes made him irrational and possessive.
“Stay just another hour. he insisted.
"I need to be home by seven-thirty." Promise you'll take me within that time?
"He'll be there at that time." he promised.
She yawned again and glared at him, laying back against his chest.
- You're tired. - he said.
“Well, you tired me out. I think I could sleep for a few minutes lying here, it's so comfortable.
"Hybrids have a great sexual appetite, I should have taken it easy, you're not used to sex and—" She cut him off.
“I don't remember complaining. She smiled and he wanted to snarl, his female was beautiful.
"Close your eyes and relax with me." he whispered, stroking the soft strands of hair.
“If I fall asleep, wake me up in thirty minutes. She yawned again and snuggled closer to him. I was loving the feeling of having that big, warm body to lean against.
Timber looked at the serene and peaceful face and also closed his eyes to take a deep breath and try to calm the beating of his heart. The female against him was his and he would do anything to make her recognize that, however long it took, he would convince her.
She was small compared to hybrid females if he let his primal animal side get the better of him, he would keep her until she agreed to stay forever and be his mate, but he couldn't, she would hate him.
Timber had never slept with a human female in his arms, had shared sex with a few but hadn't felt protective and possessive like he did with Eva.
He loved the feel of her so close, suddenly the need to protect her consumed him and he wanted her to be with him twenty-four/seven. He wanted to take her home, lock the doors and windows and not allow anyone near her that could hurt her, including the damn human male. However, he would never do this to make her resent him in any way.
He would do anything for her to stay on her own accord, being a good male and demonstrating what a great mate he could be for her. He closed his eyes taking in the scent of his female and ended up falling asleep along with her.
At some point later, Eva opened her eyes, felt his big, warm body against hers, hugging her protectively, sometime in her sleep she got out of her cup and they ended up spooning each other. She smiled, feeling good, until her mind came back to her senses and she realized she needed to be home by eight and had no idea what time it was.
— Timber! she exclaimed, pulling his heavy arm from around her waist, he didn't move easily and she screamed, "Timber!"
He opened his eyes and snarled, looking around for the threat, then looking back at Eva.
- Are you okay? Did you hear anything? His nostrils flared and he tried to catch some scent in the surroundings.
- What time is it? she gasped, rising desperately, ignoring the tenderness in her depths.
Timber reached for his cell phone and grunted.
“Seven forty-two.
- Damn it! she exclaimed, quickly pulling on her clothes.
"Is it really that important to be home at this hour?" he questioned, his voice still a growl.
"I have a dinner to go to."
"With the human male?" he snarled, furious.
“Yes, I didn't want to, but I need to be there.
"Does he hurt you?" Are you afraid of him like that?
“It's complicated, Timber. —she grabbed her purse —Can you take me, please?
“I don't want you to go to this male. he snarled again. "He could hurt you!" Touch it!
"Stop growling at me, I don't have a choice." he exclaimed defensively.
"You are not his!" he roared.
“Stop, Timber. I'm not his, but I'm not yours either because I'm not an object to belong to anyone.
- You are mine! Eve nearly choked. He again uttered those words and this time it wasn't in the heat of sex.
“I made it clear from the start that we couldn't have anything serious. I'm going to marry another man.
Timber howled, feeling the pain in his chest as if a knife had been stuck there and twisted. She was his and he wouldn't let the other male make her his. But he knew he needed to take things slow, conquering rather than imposing, even as the rage consumed him.
"Will you take me?" she asked again.
- Clear. — he took her in his arms and before she could protest, he completed — I'm fast and you need to hurry.
Eva appreciated that even though he knew he was taking her to see another man, he wanted to help her get there quickly. Guilt flooded through her over the way she spoke to him, but she had no option but to push him away now. He was intense and by the way he growled that she was his, she was hopeful that something was going to happen between them.
- Thanks. Tears filled her eyes but she blinked them back.
Timber's big body carrying her made her want to hug him and ask him not to let her go, she wanted to stay with him, to escape everything around her, to focus only on the best person she'd ever met in her life. However, they barely knew each other and she already had a mission to accomplish before he did.
They got into the car and remained silent until the moment he parked in the place where he left her last time and she looked up at him, her eyes watering and her heart aching.
- I'm sorry. she murmured.
"Let me take you somewhere else tomorrow."
“Timber, that was the last time today…
- Please. — the "wet dog" look he gave her made her heart soften again — Can I pick you up here tomorrow?
She hesitated.
"Say yes to me?" I'm sorry I growled at you.
She knew she should run, she'd already taken this too far, but when she looked into Timber's incredible eyes and remembered everything they'd shared together, how he was the most wonderful person she'd ever met, she couldn't think rationally and at the I knew deep down that it was worth spending even a few minutes with Timber. She was becoming addicted to him and all her attempts to pull away were failing.
— Tomorrow midnight, I'll be off the next day and I want to spend the night with you. she finally said and Timber cheered internally with a smile.
— I'll be here, I'll wait anxiously to have you in my arms again.
She nodded, feeling her body warm and heart racing, and got out of the car.
"Eve!" — he called her and she looked back — Don't let him touch you! Timber snarled, furious at the very thought of the human male or any other touching his female.
- Never. She smiled and started to run towards the street of her house.
