HYBRID TIMBER 13
Eva had her heartbeats pounding so hard that she thought she would pass out even before entering the house, she was very afraid of Bruce finding out about her affair with Timber and she knew she needed to put an end to it as soon as possible. I couldn't even imagine what would happen if that came out.
She didn't see the groom's car parked and felt relieved, she entered the house slamming the door a little distressed and her mother, who was in the living room, quickly got up from the couch and came to her, holding her arms.
- Where were you? Ruthie questioned screaming.
- With a friend. — lied — I need to shower and get ready for dinner with Bruce. She let go abruptly, not liking her mother's attitude at all.
"Hurry up, foolish girl!" How do you have dinner in ten minutes and get home now?
“I don't remember mentioning to you about dinner and what time it would be. Eve said defensively.
Her mother had never been aggressive with her, but lately she had been behaving strangely, however she believed it was because of the disease.
“My son-in-law told me. — his mother was always full of mouth to refer to Bruce as son-in-law.
- When? he asked.
- At church. Go get ready soon, if he shows up, I try to stall a little.
Eva let it go as her mother was more desperate than her and ran to her room, on the last step she looked back at her mother.
"Are you all right?" How was the chemo today?
"I'm fine, Eva. Hurry up!
- OK.
Eva ran through the small corridor, entered the bathroom, took off her clothes, threw them in the laundry basket and got under the shower, she was still breathing hard, but she calmed down as she washed her skin and hair, when she got to the bathroom. her sex swollen, she felt the sensitivity and her mind went to Timber, her heart tightened but she quickly tried to push him away from her thoughts, she knew her heart could be going out to him and she shouldn't let that happen.
It would hurt far more to have to lead a life with one man, knowing her heart and body belonged to another.
She finished her quick shower, got out, barely dried off and dressed, she heard voices on the floor below and imagined that Bruce was already there, left her hair loose, applied a light gloss to her lips, a perfume, put on a pair of low heels and went downstairs.
Bruce frowned when he saw her and then forced a smile.
- Hey my love. She almost rolled her eyes at the man's false tone but didn't, instead giving a slight smile.
“Hi, Bruce. She moved closer to him and he cupped her cheek, quickly sealing their lips together.
- I missed you. We will? She just nodded.
"See you later, Mom." She looked at the woman who had a happy glow on her face.
"Don't wait up, Mrs. Jones. Bruce said.
Eva froze inside, she was going to open her mouth to ask why, but decided she would confront him outside.
— Judgment! I know the flesh is weak, I was a teenager myself, but the wedding is so close.
“No, we haven't even talked about dates yet. Eve said.
"That's where you're wrong, love. I won't wait more than a month for you to be my wife.
Eva's mother almost jumped in celebration and the young woman almost freaked out inside. She was taking this fake engagement but with the certainty that not so soon she would have to become Bruce's wife. He thought he would have months before the disaster happened.
The two left her house and Bruce got in the car slamming the door hard, she remembered how Timber insisted on opening it for her, but unfortunately he wasn't the sexy Hybrid there with her and unfortunately he wasn't the one she was fated to be with either. to live a mediocre life for some time.
"What do you mean, don't wait more than a month?" — he didn't wait a second after getting in the car and was questioning.
— My parents and I have already decided on the wedding date. He said it like it was nothing.
- Which? And why didn't they tell me anything?
“Because it doesn't matter to you. — The man started the vehicle.
"Doesn't matter to me?" Who will be the damn bride? she raged.
“You signed a document and must follow through with the entire agreement without question! I make the fucking decisions and you just play your part and be the goddamn bride!
"Son of a bitch, a thousand times mother of a bitch!" she cursed, clenching her fists with an overwhelming urge to hit him. "What about my mom not waiting up?" What I meant?
"We'll sleep together tonight." she nearly choked.
- Which? I will not sleep with you!
“I'm not looking forward to fucking you either. You're spending the night at my place, I need to go out and my parents need to think we're sleeping together.
She widened her eyes in surprise.
- Oh ok. Do you want to have an alibi?
- That's right.
- Where you go? — tried to get something out of him.
- It's none of your business!
Eva took a deep breath, determined to find out what Bruce could be hiding, intending to use it to her advantage.
She had been silent ever since, when he stopped the car in front of a large, luxurious house.
— This is a fundraiser dinner for the church to donate to poor children, behave like a passionate bride, my father thought it would be good for us to show up here today.
- OK. He nodded.
They entered hand in hand and from there it was just fake smiles, greetings and introductions, Bruce was a great actor because everyone seemed to believe the lies he told about their relationship and Eva needed to pretend the same way, for her own good.
When they sat down to dinner, an older man began a speech that, in his opinion, was nothing more than a fake wanting money from people to line his own pockets.
"For our children!" she finished and everyone clapped, including her, so she wouldn't be the only one not to do it.
The waiters started to serve everyone's dishes and when one of them went to put a piece of meat on his plate, Bruce raised his hand to stop the action.
“She doesn't eat meat. Serve it only with vegetables and greens.
Eva felt her eyes burn with anger. The waiter walked away after serving his plate.
- I do not eat meat? she whispered.
"Have you forgotten that you need to lose weight for the wedding?" You have a week! he whispered back and tears filled her eyes, but she didn't cry.
A damn week?!
Luckily she wasn't starving, she'd eaten quite a bit in her afternoon with Timber. Even her thoughts flew to him. What was he doing? Where was he at that moment? Was he thinking about her?
She desperately wanted to be with him, but instead, she was doomed to this ridiculous dinner. Timber made her feel so good about her body, he made her feel small and sexy in his arms, she wanted so badly that everything was different and she could be with him.
“Rumor has it that one of the girls in the church choir is mating with one of those animals from the Hybrid organization. She heard the comment coming from a man beside them and her blood rushed out of her body.
“It's not rumours, it's true. They saw the two together. a woman whispered.
Holy crap! Are you talking about me? But how?
Her hands began to use and her heart was racing, fear coursing through her body, almost having a panic attack.
“It's Vivian Bennett. Her father trapped her at home and your group will deal with her sentence.
Relief coursed through Eva that she hadn't been discovered, but her mind was haunted by that Vivian. Was her father holding her captive? And what sentence was that?
He needed to enlist Timber's help in figuring out which one of his male Hybrids mated with a Vivian, she didn't know her personally, didn't really pay much attention to the choir or any part of the cult, but she needed to do something for the young woman.
“He must burn her in front of all the young women of the church and sect, to set an example for any slut who sleeps with animals. — a man looked too angry.
“I would love to be there. — to Eva's surprise, it was Bruce who spoke — When will it be?
"I heard the day after tomorrow at noon."
She opened her mouth, shocked and her stomach turned, she wanted to throw up knowing that she was in the middle of a nest of people who hated the race of the man she was secretly meeting and would be capable of killing someone because of their fanaticisms.
His heart swelled with compassion for Vivian, knowing that his situation was similar. Apparently they were part of the anti-hybrid sects. Eve always knew her mother and the church people hated the Hybrids, but a cult entitled to punishment and death? I was terrified.
He finally decided that he would find Timber one last time just to ask Vivian for help, after that he would never be able to go back and see him. It was too risky.
