HYBRID HOOK 03
A little over an hour later, Abbie was so tired from almost running that she had to stop and put her hands on her knees to breathe. Hook looked back and frowned.
"Tired already?"
— Yes, you don't get tired, do you? she said, breathing heavily.
- Not at all. I don't have time to rest, we have to go.
Abigail stressed.
“I don't have DNA in my body that allows me to be more resistant to anything, okay? You can walk now because I want to rest, my legs are hurting a lot. Just break the weeds on the way to mark where you went and I'll follow you later. I can not right now!
She collapsed on her butt to the floor and ended up lying down to rest better. Hook looked at the scene and stopped himself from smiling, he might hate humans but this one was kind of funny. He admitted that he wasn't being kind at all and she had far too much patience with him.
- He is well. We can stop for a little rest. he crouched.
— We can't, I can, because you're not even panting.
"I don't think you'll be able to keep up with me if I continue to lead the way."
- Why? You think I'm stupid or what? — she looked into the blue eyes of a cat and he just raised his eyebrows — Of course I can accompany you, just do as I said, crush the weeds wherever you go and I'll run as soon as I recover here. I am dead.
"I'll wait, I'm aware you're not resistant." If you run to catch up with me you will tire very quickly again and you will delay me longer than you already are.
"I don't want to delay you, go now." I know you don't mind leaving me here alone and I don't care if I'm going to get tired fast. We can do it like this, you go and I run to catch up with you, I rest, I run again.
Raindrops falling from the sky stopped the discussion words to come. Hook cursed under his breath knowing the rain would delay them much longer and perhaps whoever had captured him had already sent out search parties, he knew it was worth a lot.
He watched the little human sit up and curse the rain too, then made a very quick decision that would buy them time. He walked over to her, wrapped one arm around her waist and the other under her thighs, and pulled her onto his lap.
Her body immediately reacted to the touch of soft, scented skin, remembered the taste again. His grip instinctively tightened around her small waist and he swore under his breath, angry with himself, hating the fact that he had reacted so easily to the human.
- What are you doing? Abbie gasped.
He looked into her eyes but saw no fear, only curiosity and surprise.
— Carrying you in my lap, we can't get rain, I don't get sick, but you do.
He quickly regretted the sentence that automatically escaped his lips, not even he knew he would say such a thing. He silently punished himself as he walked around feeling the pressure of the blood pooling in his pants. The hazelnut smell coming from the soft skin was affecting him in ways he never imagined.
“I thought you didn't care about humans, I'm human and you're afraid I'll get sick. She smiled teasingly at him.
Hook looked into the perfect face and considered her the most beautiful female he had ever seen. After all, her pride couldn't get in the way of her ability to admire.
"Waiting for the rain to pass under it will delay us much longer, as well as delay us if you get sick, which is why I don't want you to."
— Okay then — she wasn't convinced but decided to let it go — But I doubt it'll hold me for long, I'm not as light as I look.
— Sixty kilos? He stifled a laugh.
"Yes…" she frowned, shocked at his ability to get her exact weight right. "How do you know exactly?"
— I'm not human and I can know many things, like the taste of your shampoo and moisturizer.
- Same? And which one is it? —she was very curious and fascinated.
— You use coconut shampoo in your hair and your skin smells like hazelnuts. Abbie's eyes widened, even more impressed.
"Wow, this is amazing!" Hook studied her and she had a sincere expression on her face.
“That's enough. Shut up and hold my neck tight, I'll get us ahead of time. he said sternly as he broke into a run.
Exactly fifty minutes later, with Hook running not as fast as he was used to but a good deal further ahead than if they'd just been walking, he stopped and dropped Abbie carefully to the ground.
“The rain has passed. I think we should sleep for a few minutes. The human looked at him noticing how his hair grew longer when wet.
The scene was simply sensual, Hook was all sexy as much as he was rough.
— Tired, huh? I warned you as soon as we left that I was heavy and you would get tired soon.
Hook laughed, which surprised Abbie.
“You're not heavy. — he stopped — But it's night now and we're close, if we get to those houses at that time, it'll be a cause for alarm and I don't want that. Let's wait for dawn.
- Yes, you're right.
The young woman looked around and couldn't see anything but the cornfield, her only alternative was to sit where she was and sleep right there. It was wet like her clothes and very uncomfortable, but she had no other option.
She looked over at the Hybrid and found him sitting three feet away from her, staring into space. She just hugged her knees and tried not to think about how cold she was and how her nose and lips were freezing.
Hook experienced the guilt for the second time that day, he didn't know how this feeling was suddenly hitting him so hard but it seemed that something shifted inside him when he saw that fragile human sitting on the wet floor hugging her body shivering with cold.
She was pale and a few strands of her hair were plastered to her cheek. He felt miserable, a feeling he hated. She was helpless and looked innocent, he had to be sensible and admit that in his thinking. An unpleasant idea began to form in his head.
Her voice brought him out of his thoughts.
"Can you talk to me?" I'm not able to concentrate on sleeping despite the tiredness, I'm very cold.
- I do not want to talk.
“Please pretend I'm not human.
- Impossible. He chuckled awkwardly.
"It didn't seem to be that cold while you were carrying me." Did the temperature drop that fast? She hugged her body tighter, her chin bouncing.
Every protective instinct within him came to life.
The idea that he didn't like at all began to make his head throb. His instincts would never let him sleep in peace if that female was dying of cold right there in front of him. He was programmed to care for and protect the weakest and she was simply the personification of that definition.
He was stronger and could easily immobilize her if she tried anything on him. Then he cursed under his breath, got up, walked over to her and sat beside her.
“I have higher body heat because of my feline DNA, you can lean against me. He tried to show indifference in his voice.
Abbie didn't know what to say, she wanted so much. She remembered so well when he carried her how warm and comfortable those big arms were, and at the same time she felt a strange excitement to be there again.
- What are you waiting for? he urged.
“Okay, fine.
The young woman moved slowly so as not to show despair, she moved slowly closer to him and was a little confused what to do next.
"Do I ride you or do I just sit sideways?"
- As you wish. Be quick, we have to sleep, snuggle up to me.
Abbie still wasn't sure how she was going to do it, but she sat sideways on his lap and put her head on his hard, muscled chest, her arms were together in front of her body, she didn't hug him, she thought it would be too much. Wonderfully warm, comfortable body heat blanketed her body as Hook's unique, male scent filled her nose. Automatically snuggled into him.
His body felt so hot and he suspected it wasn't just the heat of the hybrid male . It was almost the same sensation as when he ran his tongue over the skin of her wrist, she felt desire for him. She fought with all her might not to be aroused, she knew he could feel it as he guessed the taste of her shampoo and moisturizer.
He looked up, biting his bottom lip, but Hook had closed his eyes.
He immediately regretted his choice when his body responded and his cock stiffened in his pants as it came into contact with her ass in his lap.
He took a deep breath, trying to order his lower body not to perk up, yet her damn, strangely pleasant scent was doing unknown things to him.
“Thanks for letting me sleep on you to keep me warm even though I hate myself. I appreciate that. — he felt her lips curve into a smile — By the way, my name is Abigail, but I hate that name so everyone calls me Abbie.
“I'm Hook. he snapped, dragging air into his lungs, inhaling deeply trying to control his body.
