HYBRID HOOK 02
They are not all friendly. Abbie thought after a while. Maybe it was his internal scars. She couldn't imagine what they went through and thinking about it that way she didn't blame him for her reaction. He could even understand her distrust.
However, his other side was still angry at the rude Hybrid . She wasn't to blame for what happened to him and didn't deserve to be treated this way, even more so after having helped him without question, that should have been worth it for him to know that she wasn't treacherous.
She sighed deeply, that breath almost a hiccup after crying. Her head throbbed from crying and she squinted. It was going to be a long journey for both of them.
Hook didn't take his eyes off the road a minute for the next hour, thoughts of gore crowding his mind ever since he'd killed those four men. Not that she hadn't done it before, but she'd always been self-defensive and hated getting blood on her hands.
He snarled at the thought of the traitor. He just wanted a minute alone with the bastard and he would hunt him down even if it was his last mission in life. He was only more and more certain that he couldn't trust humans and that his hatred of the race wasn't gratuitous.
He just needed to locate somewhere with a phone or a radio communicator to contact HybridFalls to come get him.
His eyes went to the human beside him with his face turned toward her window. He was grateful that she was passing by at that moment and that surprisingly she didn't cry out in fear when she saw him and seemed willing to help without question even though he hadn't been the least bit kind to her.
She had beautiful almond eyes, he saw that when he opened his eyes and she was approaching him with her hand. She was a beautiful and attractive female, even if it was hard for him to admit it, although he would never say that out loud.
The taste still present on his tongue also made sure to remind him of her taste as he licked the wrist he'd bruised. It smelled so good and it tasted too. He hated that his balls tightened inside his pants and decided keeping her away was for the best. He was tired and his body was confused, he would never be attracted to a human female. hated them.
- Where are we going? she asked after a while. Her voice was sweet and smooth.
He did not answer.
- I need to know. I told you that I'm also running from someone and I can't risk getting caught or anything else. We have to leave the car somewhere because it probably has GPS and they'll find me.
Abbie watched as he pressed the GPS button to turn it on.
- What are you doing? Activating the signal?
“I need to know where I am. he growled. The device started up and he punched the steering wheel — Damn!
"Is it too far from where it should be?"
“Over ten hours. Do you have a mobile phone? — in the heat of the moment he had even forgotten that humans were into these electronic things.
“Mine's been in service since I dropped it.
"When I took the car, were you going somewhere specific?" Is there a chance we can get help?
“I was driving aimlessly. I can't go home. — A thought suddenly gripped Abbie that made her feel afraid — You don't plan on leaving me behind when you get help, do you?
He finally looked at her.
"If I were going to do that, do you think I wouldn't have thrown you out of that car by now?"
- I am relieved. It would be inhumane to abandon myself in the middle of nowhere.
“I'm already inhuman, that wouldn't be a problem for me. But I'll show a modicum of gratitude by taking you with me for not making a dramatic scene when I took the car, there they decide what to do with you.
"And where would 'there' be?"
— HybridFalls .
Abigail was quiet, still very confused and stunned. He ended up giving a small cry of fright as the Hybrid 's hand curled into a fist and smashed the GPS device with one blow.
"Oh, shit, what a fright!" he exclaimed.
"I hope it doesn't work anymore."
Minutes later, with the silence she ended up falling into a nap after having traveled aimlessly in the car with Hook for hours. When he opened his eyes he felt his neck hurt a little and was surprised to realize that the car was parked on the shoulder.
Her hands were no longer tied and she was alone. He opened the door and got out, looked around and saw nothing but a cornfield and a great endless pasture. The sky was dark and the weather cold, he immediately embraced his own trembling body.
She wondered where the Hybrid could be , the thought that he'd reached somewhere and walked away leaving her there made a bad feeling settle in her.
He walked to the driver's seat and tried to start the car, which to his surprise was out of gas. She had been left behind with a car without gas.
He decided to go back inside the vehicle because the cold was starting to freeze his nose. Abbie closed the doors, locked them and hugged her knees as she fought back the tears, her throat hurt and she couldn't hold it in anymore so she cried, she was scared and didn't know what she was going to do.
Hook went back to where he had left the car with the small human inside. Even as he approached, he heard sobbing and caught a faint whiff of fear. A worry welled up inside him and he felt angry with himself for somehow unknowingly worrying about the reason for her crying and fear.
He hated his instincts, considered them a flaw. Hybrid males were very protective and a small, helpless female like that triggered it full force inside them and they just couldn't control it because it was part of their DNA.
The male tried to open the car door but it was locked, Abbie was immediately startled, surprise was easy to read in her eyes when she saw that he was the one there and quickly unlocked it.
- Why are you crying? he asked immediately.
“You didn't leave me here. she whispered in surprise. "I thought you'd left me behind with the car out of gas."
He snorted.
— Those are not reasons, I thought something serious had happened.
“I woke up alone in the middle of nowhere and I was scared, okay? I'm not tough like you, respect other people's feelings. she sniffed.
Hook's chest tightened to see her sad.
— I ran a few kilometers into that cornfield to try to find something. There are houses three hours away, which means I can contact HíbridoFalls to give them my location.
— Don't you think it's risky? We can't trust anyone these days. What if these people are anti -hybrids ?
“I am more than aware of the capacity humans have for betrayal. Luckily I have a human with an innocent face who will do this for me.
"What if something goes wrong?" If they catch me and do something to me?
“I'll be aware of your steps, I won't let that happen. Anything I won't hesitate to kill everyone.
"Would you dare to kill people like that in cold blood?" There may be children there!
"If they would have to do this to me, what's wrong with me having to defend myself?" I would spare the children. It will be self-defense.
“I agree with self- defense ,” he sighed. “I thought hybrids were kind. she murmured in an almost inaudible tone.
“You thought wrong. Have you ever met someone in person or are you deceived by the image that our leader shows on television?
- The second option. I've seen Jack and Runner many times on television and their heroics when they got shot multiple times by Ellie was beautiful. Abbie blinked as Hook snarled.
- Idiot. I wouldn't give my life for a damn human. His expression turned into a frown.
“But it wasn't just any human, it's the woman he loves.
— Love is also a thing for idiots.
“Wow, you hate everything.
— Many things, humans and feelings are included at the top of the list.
"So you hate me even though I didn't do anything to you?"
"You're human, aren't you?"
“As far as I know, yes.
“So there's your answer.
“It doesn't comfort me that I'm in a deserted place with a man who hates humans.
“I'm not going to hurt you unless you try to attack me, just like I'll do to those villagers if they try anything. Let's go now.
Abbie grabbed her purse from the car and looked for any other items they might need, but there was nothing. In her bag she had her wallet with documents, a 350 ml water bottle and a basic hygiene kit.
When she turned around, she didn't see the man anywhere, she ran forward trying to find him but the grass beside her moved and he appeared with an angry expression.
- What are you doing? You'll slow us down, hurry up! he snarled.
"I went to get my bag!" —he explained and started to follow him almost running to keep up with his steps — And stop growling at me or you'll have to use your self-defense huh?
"I have more strength in one arm than you have in your entire body."
- Oh, really? It doesn't even look like he tied me in the car for fear of being attacked by me. Abbie chafed that he'd underestimated her like everyone else always did.
“You could have a gun hidden there, now I know there's nothing.
- Idiot.
Hook felt like laughing, she was small, she didn't have a weapon and she couldn't handle him even though she was angry. So he decided to just be silent as they walked.
