HYBRID HOOK 05
A noise in the distance filled Hook's ears causing him to open his eyes immediately. Instinctively he hugged the small body over his more tightly, he could barely sleep but she was in a deep sleep.
He sniffed the air but nothing but the female's pleasant scent reached his nose, he only heard the damn noise, far away, but it was something that was starting to worry him.
The day was beginning to lighten. He lowered his face to examine Abbie, her features were smooth, totally different from hybrid females , she had no change in her face and was perfect.
He never thought he could find a human so beautiful but he did. She felt so fragile in his arms and after what she'd told him, all he wanted was to protect her.
It paralyzed him for long seconds as he took stock of the feeling. He was indignant at the kind of thinking he was having.
- This can not be happening. No way! She is human. he murmured.
His body immediately tensed as she shifted slightly and her thigh brushed against the front of his pants. He closed his eyes to control himself but all that appeared in the darkness of the closed lids was Abbie's face. He opened them again and her face was there in flesh and blood, he felt unable to stop looking at her at that moment.
" Hmmm... Hook... " the soft voice babbled. Her heart missed a beat.
- I'm right here. he replied, but surprise hit him when he noticed that she was still sleeping.
" That's good... " he stammered again.
Is she dreaming? With me? I must be going crazy.
The noise he had been hearing a few minutes ago had disappeared, he also thought it was something in his head since he had been acting irrationally since he met the human. But I would be more attentive. This wasn't him. He couldn't let his guard down like that.
He realized that perhaps he had been too vulnerable during their late-night conversation and it was time to get rational again. A lifetime of hate wouldn't be erased in just one night.
Thinking this way, he tried to go back to sleep.
When he opened his eyes an hour later, he didn't find the human lying in his arms as he remembered before he blacked out. He got up quickly looking for her scent that came from a nearby place until he heard light footsteps approaching.
Her smiling face appeared and he sighed, feeling ridiculously relieved to see her safe.
- Good Morning. she said with a big smile.
— Good morning, where did you go?
— Pee.
He relaxed.
“We need to keep moving. he said sharply.
"Maybe you want to do it too." She looked down at the front of his pants.
His expression became shocked, had a great volume and she instinctively imagined what it must look like under the cloth it covered. Her cheeks grew hot as an unusual tingle started between her legs. She felt it too when Hook licked the skin of her wrist.
He followed Abbie's gaze and put both hands up to shield her vision, a little disconcerted.
“I understand men waking up like this. - She cleared her throat - Go on, I'll wait. Here in this bag I have toothpaste and a bottle of water, you can wash your mouth. There's also gel alcohol in a pot to sanitize your hands.
Hook said nothing, picked up the bag and just walked into the bushes, unzipped his pants and began to urinate for long seconds. Feeling relieved and no longer stiff, he walked back to where they were after washing his mouth and cleaning his hands.
"I'd like to clear one thing up before we go." Hook said.
"Sure, what is it?"
“What you just saw in my pants wasn't directed at you. I have no sexual interest in you.
There .
"I haven't thought about it at all since you don't make any secrets about how you hate humans and that includes me." She rolled her eyes but inside something hurt.
She didn't know how or what it was, but she felt it.
- We will. he said and started walking with hurried steps.
Abbie hurried to keep up with him, feeling the strange silence that was bothering her. She didn't know why he needed to explain that he wasn't interested in her sexually when he already had an idea.
Did he want to hurt my self-esteem? Asshole!
She thought deluded that perhaps because of their proximity last night, Hook would start talking to her normally.
— I think that when we talk, time passes faster and we get less tired because we get distracted and don't even notice how much we walk. she said, breaking the ice.
"I'm not in the mood to talk right now." he said rudely.
But Abbie wasn't someone who gave up easily.
- Tell me about you. he asked softly.
- No. he snarled.
— Please, you don't get tired, but I do, if you talk to me it will be better.
“I want silence, Abbie. Her heart sped up at the way he said her name.
Abigail wasn't looking at the ground, but at the weeds that had to be pushed aside to pass, so she ended up tripping over a dry root on the ground, her surprised cry was heard by Hook who with his reflexes caught her before she fell to the ground.
She felt the firmness of hard arms gripping her slim waist perhaps a little harder than necessary. The sensation of a shock wave coursing through her blood vessel where he touched hit her. Hook looked into her eyes for pain but didn't see it, so he released her slowly.
“Watch the path.
"You could drop me if you hate me."
“It's my reflexes.
- I understood. Is it automatic or has it been trained?
- A bit of both.
— In Medicinne ?
— Yes, but I improved after I left.
Abbie swallowed back an urge to smile, he was talking.
- You have friends?
“I get along well with all my people but I have two friends in particular, Blade and Tyger. Tyger even just married a human.
- Wow that's great! Abbie didn't hide her excitement.
- I do not think. It is a mistake for hybrids to become romantically involved with their kind.
“Oh, that's enough Hook. It might be wrong for you, but for them it's not, you have to respect and keep that hate to yourself because not all hybrids hate us, I'm sure of that.
He swallowed hard.
“You're right, not everyone, but many just put up with it, the way I'm putting up with you right now.
She opened her mouth to retort but couldn't find words to show her indignation, so she was silent, feeling a lot of anger at the stupid Hybrid .
- Motherfucker. She muttered under her breath, but he heard her.
“I have good hearing and I don't have a mother.
— That's a light curse, I'm not claiming you have a mother although I thought that every living being was born to someone who is usually called a mother. she said walking frantically fast.
“But I don't have one and I'd like you to be silent. I need to be aware of what's going on around us.
She understood the situation and simply closed her mouth.
Several minutes later she stopped, too tired to continue, crouched on the ground, then threw herself. The sun was so hot that it didn't seem to have rained that night.
- We're close? she asked. "Can I at least ask that much?" he whispered in a mocking tone.
— At any moment we will leave in front of the houses, we need to put together a plan. he informed, stopping.
- We need? Will you listen to what I have to say?
“You're acting like a child, Abigail.
"I hate being called that." I prefer Abbie!
“Fine, I'll call you that from now on, Abigail.
“Why are you being such a motherfucker to me?
"Let's get down to business." — he ignored her — You're going to show up first and say that your car had a problem in a nearby place, you're going to count how many people there are in that place and see if they have bad intentions or not. Then he asks to use the phone and calls HíbridoFalls through the number that I will give him.
"Okay, are you hearing anything with your super hearing?" Do I need to know anything before showing up?
- I do not listen anything. Be careful and don't say I'm here. — He passed the number of HybridFalls and hesitated, looking into Abbie's eyes — If you betray me...
- I would never do that! — she got angry, upset that he thought she was capable of such a thing — If I don't come back you can know that something went wrong and I gave my own life before anyone could lay hands on you again to do you harm, Hook. I know I'm not to blame for anything they did to you but I know a little bit of history. Save yourself if the worst happens, and if you can kill my brother Adam Ridley and Markus Mason for me, to avenge my soul, my spirit will be very grateful.
Before he could say anything else, Abbie walked forward leaving him stunned, shocked and rocked by her words.
