HYBRID HOOK 08
Then he left with hurried steps towards another hut away from the three dead men and their filthy smell. He entered the next one, bent down on the floor and began to examine her body with his eyes, a desperate anguish crushing his chest.
He tried to hide his interest in the soft, smooth mounds of flesh inside her bra and the small mound contained in the thin material covering her sex. He examined her with fascination, he had never seen a woman with a body so delicate and softly perfect.
There was blood on her thigh along with a not-too-deep cut. He gently wiped it away with his own hand before running his tongue over the wound. If he felt like a dirty bastard for that very instant his bottom tensed, he wanted that female like he'd never wanted anyone before.
His hand moved to try to find some more serious bruise on it, his fingers gently pressed into the soft skin, he growled lowly enjoying the sensation.
He sniffed her skin more for remnants of men but felt nothing but her fear. A relieved sigh came out of him knowing the human bastard had lied about abusing her. Just the thought of that happening to her maddened him.
His finger ran over the bruises on her face and cursed the souls of humans who were surely already burning in hell for staining her flawless skin.
Fuck, she was helpless, sensitive and fragile. His instinct had him roaring again.
He brushed his hair away, smelling it in the process, he only felt the coconut shampoo so pleasant that he started to appreciate it. Another relieved sigh came out of him, there was no blood on his head. She probably had a slight concussion when she fell and passed out. However, the fear that it was something more serious was there, clinging to him, making his heart heavy.
Suddenly Abbie jerked in his arms, began to thrash around and appeared to be struggling. His eyes were closed when he began to speak words that made no sense but which soon caused the large Hybrid to be shocked.
“ Save yourself, Hook. Don't let them catch you. she murmured.
Seconds later she opened her eyes, she looked stunned, just as Hook was gaping.
- Are you okay? he asked her.
- What happened? Are you okay? Those men…” It swayed the male.
“You who have been injured, been in danger, and are concerned about my well-being?
- What happened? I'm very confused but I remember men looking for you, they were from Medicinne .
“I killed them Abbie. Did they hurt you?
“There were two more on the helicopter.
“Those were the first ones, that's how I got the guns.
Abbie closed her eyes to fight the dizziness, when she felt better she opened them again with all the memories flooding back. Now she remembered everything. Hook appeared to save her.
She looked down at her body, noting her semi-nude, her cheeks flushed at being so exposed, but she remembered him making it clear that he wasn't interested in her as a woman. Even so, he noted that it felt different for Hook than it did for these men. She wasn't afraid.
“You're shaking. Are you feeling something? Headache? Dizziness?
“Dizziness and cold, very cold.
Hook shifted slightly, rested Abbie's head on his thigh, and removed his shirt, then helped her into it.
"What were you dreaming about?" His curiosity was piqued ever since he heard her say his name in her sleep for the second time. Though at first he didn't comment.
“Those men were offering my life for yours, I just screamed at you to go, to run. It was all I wanted and I almost choked, the voice didn't seem to want to come out. You weren't listening to me, as usual, which made it seem even more real.
Her words did something strange inside him. A strange emotion stung him and he pulled her onto his lap, cradling her body.
- You are unbelievable. I'm sorry, I should have listened, paid attention. His voice was thick, revealing his anger.
“It wasn't your fault. her soft voice said.
The trauma of being at the mercy of those men seemed nonexistent now that she was in Hook's arms and receiving comfort from him.
— Yes, it was! — he growled, angry with himself — I should have taken you with me when you asked, if I hadn't arrived in time...
Images of men touching her, hurting her, tormenting her, leaving her terrified as she had been when she first got there began to flash through her mind. He had put her in danger and he felt miserable for it.
He bit back a growl of fury.
The loud rumble of her stomach reminded him of the bunch of bananas he'd left lying near the last hut. He had run so desperately that he had thought of nothing else but saving Abbie.
— Wait here, I'll get the bananas I found. He gently released her.
“Thank God, I'm starving. she exclaimed with relief. And my purse too.
"Is there anything else you found that you want me to bring?"
- No. Also, I only found disassembled weapons, at least I think that's it, and grenades.
He nodded and hurriedly left, it wasn't long before he was back. He placed the bunch and mattress on the floor next to Abbie and encouraged her with a look to take it.
"I must be blue with hunger."
“I'm not familiar with that term, but I assume it implies you're starving. Eat at will.
- Thanks. Abbie picked up a banana, peeled it, and bit into it.
Her hunger was such that it seemed to be the best food in the world despite always eating food like that since she was vegan. She groaned, grabbed a few more bananas and ate them. Hook did as well and sat down a little way from her by the door.
Abbie found it impossible to miss those six pack abs and muscled arms with no cloth to cover, but what also caught her eye was the scars she saw, they looked as if they had once been deep and painful wounds.
Her heart ached for Hook, surely it was humans from Medicinne who had done this to him, compassion welled up in her as an absurd urge to hug him seized her. But I wouldn't because I knew he wouldn't like it.
As the male ate, he couldn't stop studying the tiny female. He was very surprised that she thought of him first and that she preferred him to run away from her. What bothered him the most was the fact that she was human and that she was that good.
His pride warred with reason at that moment.
"You know, I've been thinking... Do you still hate me?" I mean, you saved me, you could have cast me aside and saved yourself.
“I've never been in danger here, caught them off guard, I'd kill them all anyway. I would never let them hurt you.
“Worried about me. — Her heart warmed — Thank you so much for that... But she didn't answer if she still hates me.
“You are human Abigail. he growled low.
He could never let on that he was attracted to her. He just wouldn't accept it. Once he gave himself up and it cost him dearly.
— I don't know what happened to you in the past, but are you aware that I'm not to blame for what happened?
“I already told you it's not personal. It's not you, I don't trust humans in general and that's it. It's in her blood to be a traitor. he replied sitting near the door eating.
- I'm not! I've already been betrayed and I know how it hurts, I would never do that. You can trust me, I won't harm you in any way even though you've only treated me badly since we met. I prefer to focus on the good part, like when you let me sleep on top of you to warm me from the cold, carried me because I was tired and saved me now. I'm grateful for that. Hook swallowed and said nothing.
He just looked into Abbie's beautiful hazel eyes and considered them the most beautiful he had ever seen in his life as he pondered over her words. She was the most beautiful female he had ever seen.
"Could you also at least try to focus on the part where I helped you without hesitation?" We're together until we're rescued, I want to at least try to get along without you being rude to me all the time.
She was maddeningly sweet and kind, Hook's heart fluttered in his chest as he experienced emotions unknown to the human he so wanted to hate.
But humans had already betrayed him many times. The memory that he'd once set out to trust a human female and it had nearly gotten him killed and the worst of abuse left his resistance intact.
He knew he was starting to let his guard down again.
"We'll only talk to each other when necessary."
Abbie wanted to scream in frustration.
"Bloody, hard-headed, proud male." she mumbled, getting up from the floor. I wanted to put some visual distance between them.
"I can hear your murmurs."
“I know you can.
"Stay seated, you might still get dizzy and fall over."
“Why do you care? She glared at him even as she was touched by his concern for her.
He didn't respond to her, just in his thoughts.
Not even I know, female.
