HYBRID HOOK 15
Hook emerged from the bathroom of the dorm he was in, already dressed in black sweatpants and a shirt the same color Blade had brought him.
“You don't have to stay here to avoid the female. She left.
He almost choked.
- Which? Where did she go?
“She told you to tell you that and even called you an idiot, which I completely agree with. He said he wasn't expecting you with a wedding ring and that he just wanted to say goodbye.
- Marriage ring? What the hell is that?
— From what I understand, she wasn't wanting to propose to you, that is, she wasn't expecting you to have an appointment with her and that you didn't need to come somewhere else just to avoid her. She is intelligent.
- Where did she go? he asked in exasperation.
- Why do you want to know? He frowned.
“I want to know she's safe. Where is she?!
“She's with Breeze. Hook, I know you shared sex with her. Tyger, Flame and I can smell it. Did you get attached to her?
- No. he snarled angrily. "And don't tell anyone, I'll tell Tyger and Flame the same."
"Then why are you avoiding her?"
“I don't want to talk about it. The male's features turned into a frown.
"You're lucky she's not ovulating, otherwise I'd be in danger of getting her pregnant." Were you mad to have spilled your seed into her?
“I'm not an idiot, I smelled it before and knew I wasn't in heat.
"Um... A human, huh?" - Blade smirked - Should I kill him?
- Which?
“You said 'kill me if that disgrace happens' when I said you'd fall in love with a female and she'd be human after all. Blade laughed.
- He is going to screw it up. He flashed his fangs at his friend. "I'm not in love."
"Are you sure you don't want her?" I found her very attractive and sweet. Hook growled. "But I think she really likes you." When I said I wouldn't come back, I felt her pain. You hurt her.
The male cat's chest tightened but held firm.
“We were in agreement on my terms before sharing sex.
- Casual sex?
"Call it that if you prefer human slang in your vocabulary."
— I know what that is, I always go out with human females but I never got attached like that. I don't think I've found the right female yet. But you seem attached to me.
“Shut up, Blade. Just make sure she's safe, do it for me.
- He is well.
"Did she eat enough?" Did you go to the doctor to see if you were hurt? The concern for Abbie's well-being went beyond him.
- I don't know. I can ask when I go to check on her security. Blade smirked.
“Don't approach her for sex. Anger came through in the male's voice.
“I didn't say I was going to do this. He held up his hands.
“You tend to sleep with lots of no-strings-attached human females, but not Abbie. Did you understand? Hook experienced the jealousy of imagining another male touching her.
The feeling came with an urge to rip the hands off the male or male who did it. Just as he felt angry with Flame when he touched her. He was acting irrational and that was one of the reasons he was forced to stay away from the female.
“Of course I understand. I understood very well, my friend. The canine male gave him a sympathetic look.
Hook grunted and walked back to his dorm, the instant he entered he smelled Abbie mixed with Breeze in the air. His heart clenched when he smelled her sadness too.
He was tempted to look for her but he knew he shouldn't, anything that meant spending time with that female he wanted to avoid, he was having feelings for her and he couldn't allow it to grow.
What happened between them in that cabin, the best sex of her life, the most tender and sincere touch she'd ever received, the best and only lips she'd ever kissed in her entire existence, should stay there.
He had never experienced similar sensations before. His cock started to harden but he pushed the memories of her away and walked to his room.
The bed was messy and he decided to lie down to rest, he was tired after having given the report with all the details to the council and he also felt hungry but didn't feel like eating at the moment. Pulling the covers over his body and breathing in her scent on his sheets, he nearly groaned.
He just wanted to stop thinking about her but he couldn't. However, he knew that he had other things as a priority, such as hunting and taking revenge on those who betrayed his people.
He would avoid thinking and talking about Abbie until he was completely in control of his emotions again and no longer irrational. I would try to forget all about what had happened at the cabin and move on. That was the best thing for both of them.
No human would corrupt him. They were deceitful and the males who mated with them were gullible. But Hook refused to be. I was too hurt and broken to allow it.
Hours passed and he couldn't sleep a wink, Abbie's scent on his sheets was making his cock hard and with it the memories of her body and what they shared tormented him.
He got up and ripped the sheets off to throw in the laundry basket, went to the closet, got clean sheets and spread them on the mattress. Her scent was gone but the memories weren't.
Her smile flashed in his memory. He wasn't immune to her and he knew it, which was why he hated that she smiled at him because she just thought it was adorable.
His heart ached like never before, their time together scarred him and he would miss her. It was on his last ounce of self-control not to go after the little female and mount her one last time.
She stirred up feelings within him that worried him. Once he got attached to someone and it brought him destruction. Trusting someone meant pain for him.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Her face appeared.
Two knocks on the door caught his attention, he caught the scent of his friend before he entered.
“Breeze texted me. You need to have a cell phone.
“What does she want? Did something happen to Abbie? His voice was filled with concern.
“She just sent me to let you know the female was crying a lot. She tried to talk to her but she said she wanted to be alone. Breeze is worried that she might be depressed and that she might get hurt. Some humans tend to do this when they are very sad.
"Do they get hurt?" he asked tensely.
— Yes, and they kill themselves too.
He swallowed a roar and heard nothing more. His protective instinct towards Abbie was stronger than he was. He couldn't think straight when the little human was at play. Hook got out of bed and walked out of the apartment toward Breeze's bedroom.
??
Abbie squeezed her eyes shut but sleep wouldn't come. She was lying in a very comfortable bed and covered with a warm duvet in the room that Breeze gave her to stay. She felt out of place and depressed.
She knew she had no right to be angry with Hook when she herself had agreed to his terms before they slept together. She felt like a total idiot though for falling in love so quickly. Tears slid down her cheeks without her trying to control them.
The next day, he would borrow money to go to technical assistance to get his cell phone and send some resumes. With luck, she wouldn't stay long in HybridFalls , not that they weren't treating her very well, but she wanted distance from everything involving Hook and her feeling for him.
She didn't blame him but it hurt.
A loud sob escaped her throat and she heard a soft knock on her door.
- Everything is fine? he heard Breeze's friendly voice.
"Y-yes..." he sniffed.
“I can hear you cry. Want to talk?
"Thanks a lot, but I want to be alone." Sorry. she said softly.
"Okay, if you want to talk, just call." He heard Breeze's retreating footsteps.
After crying a lot, she fell asleep due to emotional exhaustion.
Hook climbed through the balcony windows of Breeze's dorm's guest room and found Abbie asleep on the bed. The clock on the bedside table was past midnight. He smelled her tears and her pain, he felt miserable.
She wasn't crying anymore, she was just sleeping peacefully, she knew she should go home, she was fine now. However, he just stood there, watching the sleeping female, breathing in her scent, she smelled of his shampoo, missed the coconut and hazelnut smell he had come to appreciate.
Without thinking straight, he walked to her bed and lightly pulled her covers. Abbie was always a light sleeper and quickly opened her eyes looking scared.
- It is me. he whispered.
- What are you doing here? — she was surprised. Her heart raced.
“Breeze said you were feeling sick. “Do you want to go to the medical center?” he lied. Besides, why didn't you want to see the doctor? he questioned.
“I'm fine, there was no need to see any doctors. Why are you here and pulling my blanket? I thought you were avoiding me.
He thought about lying, but looked into Abbie's almond-shaped eyes and could only be sincere.
"I would lie with you without you knowing it, hug your body, and then leave before you woke up."
“I'm a light sleeper, I can feel it if someone breathes too loudly near me.
They both just stared at each other when two minutes of silence passed.
- Stay. she asked, her voice barely making it out.
"Can I hug you a little?" He let the question slip.
Abbie felt her eyes automatically water.
“Why are you doing this, Hook?
— I want to say goodbye. I'm going back to work with the task force, I want to interrogate every man who was there that day of the operation and find out who the traitor was. Why are you crying?
"I hope you find him and he pays for it."
“I will find it and make you pay. — he swore — Why are you crying?
"I believe you will."
“She was crying and she's sad. Because? he insisted.
“I was thinking about my goddamn life and I cried. Tomorrow I'm going to get my cell phone at the technical assistance and I'm going to get a job. I'm thinking of looking for a friend.
He swallowed hard, feeling his chest tighten. They had to go their ways.
— Shall we say goodbye? His gaze roamed over her body giving away just how he wanted to do this.
Abbie got the message. He ignored his heart that would surely break later and opened his arms to Hook.
“I would very much like to.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into his body.
