HYBRID HOOK 25
Abbie was almost asleep again when Hook walked back into the room with a tray in his hands, he placed the tray on her lap and turned, closing the door behind him.
“Breeze said you love fruit. — She glanced at the tray full of cut fruit in a small bowl — There's also toast and scrambled eggs.
"Thanks, I'd like a cup of coffee." Despite the medicine, I think my head is hurting so much because I haven't taken it yet. — she said without looking at him and started to eat, she was hungry.
- I will get. he said and left the room.
Abbie ate automatically, her thoughts were on the news that she was pregnant, she couldn't think of anything else, she felt scared, she would be a mother, but the idea didn't entirely displease her. I wanted to have a child someday, but not under these circumstances, I needed to assimilate.
By the time Hook returned with a cup of coffee, she had eaten it all but her stomach was still rumbling.
“I'm still hungry. - informed taking the cup and drinking his coffee.
"I'll get more food." Want something specific?
Abbie felt awkward having Hook serve her this way, she was pissed at him. She was insulted when he assumed that she would be capable of abandoning her own child or that the human part of her in the child would be a handicap. But she knew he was only acting like this because of the baby and not for her.
"Whatever you have, except animal meat." she said sipping more coffee.
Hook nodded and left again to get more food. Five minutes later he came back with the same things from the other tray. She started to eat again and he sat down in a chair near the door.
"I thought I said I wanted to be alone to think." she said, chewing.
“I'm quiet, pretend I'm not here. - he asked.
- Impossible. She laughed awkwardly.
He growled in annoyance.
"Are you still mad at me?"
“You hurt my feelings and insulted me by implying that you would abandon my child here and that being part human would be a handicap.
“You misunderstood my comment. I didn't mean it to be an insult. I just wanted to assure you that the boy will be strong. But I will leave. He rose from his chair with an angry frown on his face.
He didn't know how to express himself, he had never needed to mince words before. He opened the door to leave but Abbie called out to him.
"Wait, when can I leave?" - she asked.
— Dr. Ali should come see her right now to discharge her if everything's okay. - he said.
- Where will I stay? she questioned, chewing a piece of banana with oatmeal.
"With me, in my house."
“I don't think so. It won't be necessary for you to move into the bedroom next door just for me to stay at your place.
“I'm not moving. I'll be there, I want to take care of you and the baby, I already told you. You have no other choice.
- I have no choice? - She laughed - I don't want to live with you. Where is Megan? I want to be where she is.
- Excellent. Megan is with Blade in our apartment.
“Shit, Megan…” Abbie mumbled as she finished her meal. “You've changed so drastically, I'm finding this really weird. I well remember you going into the next dorm just to ignore me.
But I know this is only because of the baby. She claimed to herself.
Make no mistake Abbie, he hates human beings, he only wants the best for his son.
“I wanted to ignore my attraction to you, it was so tempting to be this close and not want to touch you like I did in that cabin. - Her heart sped up and her cheeks warmed - That same night I followed you to Breeze's house, don't you remember?
She blushed immediately, the memories so vivid in her mind, the way her throat had gone dry from screaming at the pleasure he'd given her.
Hook noticed her expression but didn't want her to feel uncomfortable.
"Do you want more food?"
- Later. - She cleared her throat - I'd like to take a shower, brush my teeth, wash my hair and then sleep a lot. she yawned.
— I'll call the doctor to examine you soon and tell you if we can go home now. I've asked them to bring women's clothing and a few other things I think you need, and I've had Blade order for you and Megan. You can do all that when we're already there.
"Am I really going to have to stay at your place?" She sounded despondent about the matter.
"I'm not going to give it up. If necessary, I will take drastic measures. he growled low.
"What kind of drastic measures?" Her eyes widened.
“You're little, I can carry you in my arms and tie you to a bed.
She didn't answer, she kept imagining herself tied to a bed and Hook pleasuring her, her face heated and her sensitive spot throbbed. She didn't want to admit it but she liked him being wild at times, just when he wasn't insulting her. He quickly threw the thoughts away, he would sense if she got aroused, damn keen sense of smell.
There were two knocks on the door and then Dr. Ali walked into the room, broke into a big smile when she saw Abbie awake.
— Hello, I'm Dr. Alison, how are you feeling?
- Hello nice to meet you. - Abbie returned the smile - I'm feeling good, my head still hurts a little but it's easing, when I woke up it felt like it was going to explode.
“You had a bad concussion, remember what happened before the accident?
“Yes, exactly everything.
“It's a miracle it didn't affect your memory or cause your brain to swell or bleed.
- Thank God. My head hit so hard, I could still feel the pain before I passed out and woke up here.
“I'm going to prescribe some pain medicine, including vitamins, I assume Hook already told you about—”
- Yea. she interrupted, swallowing hard.
- Excellent. You will need plenty of rest. Eat well, drink plenty of water and rest. Call me or come to the medical center if you feel unwell or need anything.
— Thank you very much, I have many doubts but I'll leave it for later, my head is full right now. - she laughed.
"I understand, I'll be here for whatever you need." In two weeks go back for routine exams. - She turned to Hook - You can take her home now, do you want me to ask for a car?
- Yea. Thanks. Hook replied.
Abbie got out of bed carefully and Hook helped her, she still felt a little dizzy and was grateful he held her but she wouldn't say it aloud. She walked into the bathroom and Hook was still holding her around the waist.
- I am well thank you. I manage to stand on my own. Abbie tried to pull away from him.
The touch of those big hands on her skin and body brought up memories of him touching her intimately, she still liked his touch and didn't know if she would ever feel that way again. Though she was upset by his innuendos, her feelings hadn't subsided.
He continued to stand there, looking at her from the bathroom doorway.
"Could you excuse me?"
- For what? I've seen you naked. I want to make sure I don't get dizzy and fall over. Her cheeks turned red.
- What the hell. she cursed and pulled off her hospital gown. Hook crouched down in front of her.
“Lift your leg. - he said putting the pants on her foot.
Two minutes later she was dressed, Hook bent to try to pick her up but she pulled away.
- No.
- Why not? I want to take it.
"It doesn't need to be so exaggerated. I'm fine. —she didn't want Hook touching her all the time, his mere presence already made her have thoughts she'd rather forget.
— Boring female. he snarled in disgust. "I don't care, I'll take her!" He snarled, taking her in his arms.
“Stupid male. She made a face at him but didn't try to get down, she was weak.
They left the room and found Dr. There in the hallway.
“Black is out there with a jeep waiting to take them. - she said.
- Thanks. Abbie smiled at the woman, and Hook thanked her as well and kept walking.
Black, a hybrid male with dark skin, eyes and hair, was waiting for them. Hook barely saw him around HybridFalls because he worked in the domain doing security, but they transferred him a week ago to help some new males that were recently rescued settle in as he was so friendly and the other nice hybrids were all busy in their positions.
— Hello, I'm Black. he said smiling. Abbie noticed that his fangs were more visible than any of the males she'd seen before.
“Hi, I'm Abbie, nice to meet you. She returned the smile.
"You can let go of me now." she asked and he placed her gently on the ground.
Black touched her arm to help her into the car that was tall for her, but a growl startled her and she turned her head to find Hook glaring at the male touching her arm with anger written all over his face.
“Don't touch her. he growled. Abbie looked at him in disbelief.
The dark-skinned male removed his hand from her arm and Hook finished helping her up, a few seconds later Black started the engine.
“Why can't anyone touch me? she asked him in a whisper. I was mad.
"I hate other males touching her." he growled low.
- Stop this. - she asked.
"I don't want anyone touching her, period!" he exclaimed.
— I just don't argue with you now because I'm sleepy, but when I'm rested, you'll see. she threatened, and Hook grinned. I thought she was beautiful when she was mad.
Minutes later the car stopped in front of the men's building, Hook got out first and then helped Abbie out.
— Thank you Black. - she thanks.
- You're welcome. Until later. The male ignored Hook and walked away.
The two walked together to the elevator and without realizing they were holding hands, in fact Hook noticed but Abbie was oblivious to everything. Her mind was still reeling from the idea that she would have a hybrid baby with the man she'd fallen in love with, she still couldn't quite believe it and would need a little more time to organize her thoughts.
A short time later they entered the apartment, Abbie automatically walked to Hook's room and lay down on the bed, covering herself with the blanket next. It didn't take more than two minutes for her to fall asleep again.
