Like every morning, we sat in the cafeteria and I was lost in thought. "We should go to class, we want to be there on time today," said Federico, who nudged me from the side. "Mhm," I said grumpily, as I was already feeling well came out badly. However, I was interrupted by the door opening suddenly when I tried to pull it open.
The momentum caused me to stumble backwards, but luckily I was able to catch myself. When I stood up straight again, I looked directly into Santiago's eyes. They were as dark as night and hid so many secrets. "Just be careful," he said, annoyed. This made me angry at him because I didn't do anything. My tiredness from just now was gone. "Just be careful, you're the one who just comes running in here "So whether the world belongs to him. Who opened the door like a madman?" I asked in an angry tone, although I didn't expect an answer to the rhetorical question. With that I seemed to have increased his pulse, which you can see in his body, which continued to tense up. But before he could say anything, I just walked past him, but couldn't resist bumping into his shoulder.
"Was that necessary, Cecilia?" Lucia asked me. "Yes, he annoyed me," I answered her, which was true, as just his presence made my heart rate rise. "Still, you don't have to react like that, you can just stick with it," Felipe intervened. "That's the right thing, you freak out at every little thing," I simply replied. "That's different," he defended himself. "What's different about it, but whatever, I don't feel like arguing with you, shall we go?" I asked, whereupon the others just nodded and then we ran to our classrooms. Since we now had English with Mrs. González.
Today, for once, we were one of the first in the classroom. When the teacher came, we watched the boring lessons and tried not to fall asleep, like anything else.
After English we went back to the break, to our usual place, where we also met the others. We all talked about trivial things until recess ended and we went to knife throwing class together. We also had this together with the level above us, as we had all the practical, non-ordinary subjects with them.
We went into a hall that was specially built for knife throwing, as targets were spread out all over the place at various distances. I liked knife throwing, but I still preferred shooting. I loved the feeling when you pulled the trigger and the recoil appeared, which you had to withstand. Luckily, since Mr. Pérez arrived at the same time as us, we were able to go in right away.
In the hall he explained everything to us again and then we could begin. The furthest target was fifty meters away. This shouldn't actually be a problem, because I had already learned everything at home with my brothers. It started with the five meter target, then the ten, fifteen, until the increase to the fifty was reached. The targets at the beginning worked for everyone, only from twenty meters onwards a lot of people had problems. Everyone I knew, including Santiago, had already made it to the thirty-five meters, except Liliana, who had problems. In the last five meters only very few made it.
As I was about to approach the last target, I was interrupted by one of Santiago's friends. "She can't do that, she already had problems with the last one." Since I didn't know him, I assumed that he was a level above me. And yes, he was right about the problems with the last one, because I The knife had still hit the window, not perfectly, but still. "Let's bet?" I asked with a cheeky grin and then looked at my brothers, who followed suit, as they could probably guess that I had something planned. "We can, I won't lose to you anyway," he replied, which made me laugh. "Okay, what are we betting on?"
"You get to choose," he said. "If I win, you'll go to school tomorrow as a unicorn for the whole day. What do you want if I lose?" I answered in an innocent tone. That would be fun. He looked at me perplexed, but he tried not to let it show, but he didn't succeed very well. My friends all started laughing out loud at the punishment for him. Even Santiago had a smile on his face. What he asked of me made me look perplexed, but I covered it up with a smile because I had a good chance of winning. "If I win, I'll get a kiss from you, but not just a kiss, but a real kiss."
"Okay, okay, have fun losing. One more thing, what's your actual name? "I would like to know the name of people who place bets with me," I asked him. "Juan and what's your name, mi belleza," he asked. "Cecilia and thank you for the compliment, but don't call me that, bastardo," I answered him before turning back to the disk. I fixed the disk very precisely, took out the knife without the disk and the tip of the knife out of it I let my eyes open and let the knife fly through the air. It spun in the air a few times and then landed directly in the middle of the target. Grinning, I turned around and looked directly into the shocked face of Juan, who was completely drained of color I saw my friends and Santiago smiling out of the corner of my eye. "I would say you buy yourself a unicorn costume, or do you already have one," I said provocatively before I ran out of the hall grinning. Since we were now out because the last two hours were omitted, I went straight to my room.
My friends went with me and now we were all sitting in the living room laughing and couldn't stop laughing. "Did you see his shocked face, unbelievable," Lucia laughed and started to snort loudly again, infecting all of us. "Do you think he'll really show up in a unicorn costume tomorrow?" Candelaria asked, whereupon I just joined in shrugged my shoulders and had no idea myself, but hoped so anyway. After all, betting debts were debts of honor, as the saying went.
The boys left after a while and since we were bored, Lucia, Candelaria and I decided to go shopping. So we walked towards my matt black Bugatti, which only had two real seats, which is why one of the girls had to go to the jump seats in the back, where there wasn't really any space. Once we were all seated, I revved the engine and then pulled out of the parking space and onto the street towards the shopping mall. When I arrived in the city, many people looked at my car, but it wasn't surprising since there weren't always such luxury cars driving around. But I blocked out looks for a long time, they became normal. I quickly looked for a parking space and parked.
When we arrived at the shopping mall, we went into the first few shops and quickly found what we were looking for. "Hey, do you want to go partying on Friday? "The boys will definitely come with me too," I asked the girls. "Yes, I'd love to, we haven't been partying for a long time," said Lucia. "I'd love to, but I can't, I have a big family dinner there, but you're welcome to go, I'll just come back with you another time," Candelaria said unfortunately. "Okay, it's a shame, but we're going anyway, right? ", I asked Lucia, which she confirmed with a nod. "Then let's look for clothes," she said enthusiastically.
After a while we found what we were looking for. Lucia found a short orange dress with silver decorations and black pumps. I found a black short dress with glitter and black lace-up heels. Candelaria also found a dress for dinner with her family that was a soft pink color, which she paired with pink heels.
After dinner we went to a Spanish tortilla restaurant. We all just got a classic one with vegetables, since it's the size of a cake and so eating it alone was impossible.
After dinner, which was really delicious, we went back to the boarding school. Since it was already late in the evening and I was tired, I just took a quick shower and then went to bed. I was looking forward to tomorrow when Juan would show up at school in a unicorn costume, if he even pulled it off.
