Chapter 35 - The Relation
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
My shoulders were continuously shook by someone, who only stopped at the very second that I opened my eyes, only to see that it was Lucas who had his messy hair on.
"You've been unconscious for literally half a day, Celestina..." Lucas mumbled, helping me to rise from the bed, but later on gently pushed me back to rest my head on the pillows. "If you know that you're not a heavy drinker, then you shouldn't have agreed to what they wanted to do, Celestina. You could've gotten yourself in danger. You're only lucky that Ice was with you back there," he added, letting me assume that he was worried.
"You're one to speak, Alpha Lucas..." I sighed, shaking my head to tease him a bit. "If you knew that you were going to be this anxious about my situation with Ace, then you shouldn't have allowed him to get me drunk," I said, copying the exact same way that he spoke.
Lucas rolled his eyes along with a click of his tongue. "Know your place, Celestina. I simply didn't want the same thing to happen to you..." he softly mumbled, stepping towards the window to bring the curtains down after he noticed how many times I squinted my eyes because of the brightness of the sun.
"What do you mean? Did someone get dominated by Ace after he got her drunk?" I slightly tilted my head sideways as I asked with curiosity in my tone.
The alpha shook his head, going back to my side. "That goddess ruined everything in a single snap of her fingers. I'll tell you more about it when we're closer," he replied.
We went out of that room, which was from the guest house. I haven't seen Ice anywhere, and I haven't heard where he went no matter how many times I asked those maids and guards who were inside the pack house.
"Where did he disappear after that night?" I murmured a query to myself in an attempt to recall all the details about what occurred while I was drunk, but it was useless; I can't remember anything.
The people in the mansion seemed to be at peace; no one had a bad aura emitting from their souls and minds, as if they would never get into trouble anytime soon.
"Oh, look who's here..." A familiar voice of a woman echoed through my ears as she made her entrance into the lobby. "The new omega, Celestina Villarama," Stella said with her chin up, approaching me.
I showed her a fake smile. "What do you want now? Aren't we done with the duel? I'm not in the mood for any unnecessary talks." I sighed as I faced the other way, but she still followed my position.
"What's your relationship with the alpha? Are you two that close enough to be mistaken as mates?" Stella asked without any hesitation.
I bet that she only wants to hear an answer directly from me, with which she would be satisfied. "We're not mates, and I have no answer to your first question. I don't even know him very well, and that goes the same way for him."
Stella's eyes glimmered. She sat down on the opposite couch that was from my spot, thinking that she still had a lot of things left to say to me. This was the first opportunity for me to examine her entire appearance, and I have absolutely no words to describe her outstanding beauty.
"Then, why does Alpha Lucas care so much about you?" Stella inquired, placing her palm below her chin with her elbow placed above her crossed legs. "I saw him last night... He kept on walking in circles with such a troubled look, and when I asked around, everyone told me that Lady Celestina was out drinking with Delta Ice or something," she said.
I shrugged my shoulders. I don't know what's the deal with the alpha for him to be that worried about me. "Forget about that... Have we already encountered each other before? I'm certain that you also sensed that my name rang a bell in your mind, just like mine did." I picked up the cup of coffee on the round, glass table in between us, sipping on it as I waited for her to speak.
"A decade ago, I lost my sister. She was the best one that I had; we always stick together whenever we're getting scolded off by our parents. She was mistreated by them, and I was always the one to defend her. But one night..." Stella bit her lower lip, contemplating whether she would still proceed with telling me about her past.
"If you're not ready to tell me about what you know, then don't force yourself. I can wait until everyone else is ready to speak up; it's not like you're the only one that I'm waiting for," I mumbled to let herself feel that she wasn't being pressured.
Stella leaned behind her, fixing her posture as she held her chest, placing her clenched fist near the position of her heart. "One night, she could no longer hold her temper in. She ran away from home, and even if I wanted to catch up to her, she was already missing. I was afraid of the dark when I was young, and that's one of my regrets..." She sighed. "If only I was brave enough to conquer my fear, maybe I wouldn't have been separated from my sister... Maybe up until now, we would still be together. But, a few hours later, the world started to fall into a catastrophe," she continued.
From that part onwards, I kind of got a glimpse of the memory that I got from Ace when I was drunk. It was the same one where a boy was desperately searching for someone. And now that Stella has told me about her side, I think... That boy was looking for me.
Siege was looking for me.
"I remember now..." Tears formed on my eyes, and it only took a second for a tear to roll down from the corner of my eye, strolling down my cheeks. "Do you mind telling me your whole name?" I gulped.
"It's Stella Villarama," she answered while looking straight into my eyes. "I missed you damn much, Tina…”
