Chapter 38 - The Return
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
The past few days have all felt like a dream to me. There wasn't a single minute wherein I thought that I was really breathing in this realm. Especially when I heard the truth from Ice, and now that the alpha wanted me to go back to the Crimson Moon Pack, where my mate resides and also where his enemy was. I still can't understand what's running through Lucas' mind, but one thing is for sure: he doesn't want to see me get beaten by Stella.
I felt the same way when Stella and I were in a duel. Lucas wanted me to unleash all my strength just to take her down, or maybe Stella was really just unbeatable at that point.
"Are you sure about this, Alpha Lucas?" I asked as I held on to my own wrist. "Won't you regret this later on? I thought you didn't want anyone from your pack to abandon and betray you?" I added.
Alpha Lucas nodded his head with a small smile. "Go now before I change my mind and before Stella notices that you're about to go there. I won't accompany you there, and Ice would only take you up until the gates. I won't let him enter their premises," he replied, sounding so serious.
Ice glanced my way at the same time that he stretched his arm to my direction, lending me his hand, which I only stared at and refused to hold. "We'll be taking our leave now, Lucas. I'll return in an hour, and if I don't, then you're safe to assume that I've been abducted by them," Ice jokingly said.
I heaved out a loud sigh of frustration as we headed out of the pack house. No one actually came to bid their farewells to me, since I still haven't gotten along with all of them. And besides, I'm just a lowly omega who was brought there by Ice, so it's understandable that they're still wary of my presence.
"Don't look around too much; they might notice that you're leaving and tell Stella," Ice warned me, then gripped the back of my head to force me to just look straight.

Half an hour has passed, and we're already in front of the Crimson Moon Pack's gate. "Thanks for bringing me..." I slowly toned down my voice when I noticed that I was no longer with Ice. He disappeared without even saying a word to me. "Will I ever get the chance to go back there?" I whispered a query to myself.
I don't even know what the purpose of my arrival in this pack is, knowing damn well that I'm still not strong and brave enough to face those brothers.
But it's not like I would have any other opportunity other than this. It was a miracle that Alpha Lucas actually gave me the go signal. So, without any further hesitations, I stepped foot on their premises after the pack guards opened the gates for me to enter.
"Welcome back, Miss Celestina Villarama," one of the guards said. "If you're here to see the alpha, he's currently out of the pack. He's wandering the Dark Valley," he informed me, and I simply gave him a nod as a token of appreciation.
I didn't even ask him about the alpha's whereabouts, but he was willing to tell me about it. I pouted as I wondered if he could read what was inside my mind.
The entrance of the pack’s mansion was welcoming; it’s like I was being lured inside by someone. I hurriedly advanced through the door’s threshold, and one of the maids approached me.
“I thought that you wouldn’t go back here anymore, Miss Celestina Villarama…” she worriedly said, which made me tilt my head sideways as I don’t quite remember who she was. “Have you already forgotten who I am? Come on, I’m Amelia, the leader of all the maids in our pack,” she introduced herself.
I nodded my head twice to acknowledge that I remembered her now. “Where’s Alpha Siege? I heard that he’s currently not here, but I wasn’t informed of what he was doing,” I asked, curious about what the alpha does during these kinds of times.
Amelia gestured to me to follow her upstairs, and I wasn’t expecting that she’d actually bring me to Alpha Siege’s room. “Don’t worry, the alpha left me with the keys since he trusts me the most among all the other pack members. I doubt that he’d get mad at either one of us if he finds out that I was the one who invited you over here,” she said, telling me to take a seat.
Glancing around the alpha’s room, I saw the same scenery that I saw when the crimson moon appeared last time. And that picture frame of the image of the little girl had a huge impact on my memory, so when I saw it on the table, it caused me to wonder and call the maid as I pointed to it. “Do you know who that girl is?” I asked.
Amelia moved toward the table to get the frame. “Her?” She brushed her fingers on it. “This girl has been haunting Alpha Siege in his dreams. She hasn’t shown herself for years, so none of us know if she’s still alive or not…” she explained with such a sad expression.
“What’s her name?”
“It’s—”
“Amelia, why did you let her in my place?"A cold tone from a man questioned the maid, and I instantly knew that it was the alpha, even without looking behind me to verify it. “Do you want me to get rid of you as well, just for you to realize what you’ve done?” He followed up with another query.
Turning around with my head bowed down, I spoke, “Amelia is not to be blamed, Alpha Siege.”
A sudden rustle of the wind passed through the barriers of my skin.
Siege was literally standing beside me; his speed surpassed my eyesight. I haven’t even blinked, and he still managed to get here. He placed one of his hands on my shoulder, and his fingers buried on it slowly, causing me to bite my lip to prevent myself from screaming in pain. He hasn’t even shifted, and yet, I can already feel the strength in him just from his fingers alone. It was enough for me to get my limbs torn apart and my bones fractured.
“I never ordered you to speak, Celestina.”
