Chapter 37 - The History II
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
I was too stunned to speak when I heard the truth directly from Ice. Although there was still a part of me that refused to believe him. "Why are you only telling me this now? You could have done so earlier; it's not like anyone would lose their life if you told me the truth!" I couldn't maintain my composure.
"Calm down, Celestina. I'm still hesitant to tell you about this until now, but I don't think that Lucas is joking that he'd tell you about it if I don't." Ice held my forearm gently to cool me. "Going back... I'm sure you've heard from your father that I couldn't make it out alive there, right?"
I shook my head. "I don't remember anything about that. I already told Ace that I have no memories of my parents and that I was probably raised in this realm without anyone by my side," I answered to cut off his assumption that I still know them.
Ice's lips were slightly parted. "The moon goddess removed that much of your memories?" He glanced at Lucas, as if they were mind-linking. "Then, that must be one of the reasons why you couldn't shift with your wolf when you came into this realm, other than the fact that the goddess cursed you."
Lucas tapped my shoulder, as if he didn't intend to distract our conversation. "You should be thankful that I saved Ice in your world. If it wasn't for me, he wouldn't be here," he proudly said.
"You're still so hungry for recognition," Ice commented.
I chuckled. "Why? Did he transport you into this realm too, just like when I was about to die?" I asked, and both of them nodded their heads. "I understand that part, but how did Ice get that power? Those vibrations or something..." I raised one of my eyebrows out of curiosity.
"It was a gift from the moon goddess," Lucas answered.
There were still a lot of questions in my mind, but I didn't know which one I should ask first, causing me to shut my mouth and just let them speak.
"Did you know that Ice used to be your lover back in your world?" Lucas mumbled along with a grin.
I scrunch my forehead, looking at the delta. "I... didn't know. I don't feel any connection between us, that we used to be in a relationship. All that I felt when I saw him was the certainty that we already met," I replied. "Ah, right... Why does everyone seem to know about me except Stella?"
"Stella? She already told you that you're her sister?" Ice was surprised. "I thought she wouldn't tell you about it... since she hates the fact that you're mated with Alpha Siege."
The curiosity in my head was replaced with vexation. I can tolerate Stella getting mad for no reason when it comes to me, but if she's also after the alpha, my mate, then I would seriously not forgive her at all.
"Is that why she was so agitated by the fact that I left her alone a decade ago because I ran away with Alpha Siege?"
"You know that much already?" Ice muttered, then nodded his head twice. "Stella wanted to be mates with that alpha..." He began to tell the story about why Stella acted that way towards me.
Stella was desperate to take her title to the top. She wanted to be a Luna; she no longer wanted to remain a mere omega of the Silver Moon Pack. She wanted more power; in that case, she could take her rightful vengeance with me. However, on the day of her eighteenth birthday, her wolf didn't search for anyone.
Rather, Stella's wolf hasn't mated with anyone yet. So, she has to wait for the second rising of the full moon before she gets to meet her own mate.
But that wasn't enough to stop her. She still yearned to be noticed by Alpha Siege. Knowing that the alpha was in search of a Luna who was powerful enough to match him, Stella trained every single day and night, to the point that she could barely have an hour of sleep. Even if her entire bones were to crack, she still wouldn't stop training.
Stella wanted to become the very best in this pack. She thought that Alpha Siege would pick her as his chosen mate someday; it was the only hope that kept her motivated all this time.
"That... sucks." It was the only thing that I could say, since I knew that I was the only mate for Alpha Siege and no one else could take that place away from me.
If I am his mate, then I will surely become his Luna too.
"You better watch out for Stella; she's serious about becoming Alpha Siege's Luna. And compared to you, I can say that she's much stronger because she can already freely shift with her wolf," Lucas said. "Once she's determined to take something, she won't stop until she's achieved her goal. I don't know when she plans to go to the Crimson Moon Pack, but there's a possibility that she'd wait until you return there."
"Why?" I tilted my head. "Does she intend to let me witness Alpha Siege choosing her over me?" I scoffed at the moment that Lucas nodded. "As if she would have a match with the fated mate," I murmured to myself before I stood up, then rubbed my palms together as quickly as I could.
"You haven't been in contact with Alpha Siege for a long time, Celestina... There's no guarantee that you will be chosen by him if that day comes," Ice said, trying to convince me that I should take the initiative before Stella goes there first.
"I still can't face the two of them, Ice. And besides, I already made a pledge with Alpha Lucas that I'd stay here," I uttered, glancing at the alpha, who wasn't even looking at me. "If I'd go back there right now, I'm sure that the beta would just kick me out again."
"What if I give you permission to go back to the Crimson Moon Pack, Celestina?" Alpha Lucas asked, causing the atmosphere to get heavy.
