"I will always be there waiting for you."

I was still running but Louis grabbed me. He faced me and he said, "I am sorry, Sarah. I should not have done it. Just punish me but do not leave like this. I promise I will not kiss you from now. I will not touch you without your consent. I will wait for you." I looked at him with tears and he wiped my tears. I said, "No, I am sorry. I slapped you. I... I was reminded of Charlie. He also promised me to protect me and always be there for me like you are promising but he left me. So, I don't know, but I am not being able to trust you maybe I am afraid."

He replied, "I will not do anything without getting your permission from now. Trust me, I am not like Charlie. I do not promise the things I cannot fulfill. You can take your time." I did not know what to say, so I said, "Let's go. I am tired." We went to the car and the whole ride we both were silent. I only looked out of the window and he drove. After we reached my place, I spoke, "Louis, I don't know whether to thank you or to apologize for today. So, thank you for today and sorry. I will take more time." He smiled and said, "I will always be there waiting for you." We both wished goodnight and I went to my apartment. We did not talk to each other for a week.

We got a good news that Amy won the case. So, she wanted to treat all of us and we met in the restaurant. Louis, John, Andrew and Amy were already present when I went. I congratulated Amy and greeted others and sat. We talked about Amy. Louis gave an offer to Amy out of the blue. He said, "Amy, would you like to work as an assistant?" We all looked surprised and Amy said, "Yes, but I don't know much thing and also I have not completed my studies. Who will hire me?" She looked down. Louis said, "I will." Everyone looked at Louis surprised. Amy spoke in excitement, "Are you telling the truth?" He replied, "Actually I was thinking of hiring an assistant for John because it is really hard for him also. So if you don't mind then you can join from tomorrow. The only qualification needed was a trustworthy person so I guess I can trust you. John will help you with works for starting."

He looked at John. John said, "Thank you, boss. Yes, I will help." We congratulated Amy again and we went back after that. The next day, when I woke up and went to the lobby I saw a packed luggage and Amy was sitting on the sofa. She smiled and said, "You are awake?" I asked, "What's with the luggage? Don't tell me…" She said, "Yes, I am going now. Thank you so much for everything you have done. I also got a job because of you. Now I am going to explore my own world by myself now." I felt sad because it was so good when she stayed with me.

I insisted, "You can live here also. You don't need to leave." She denied, "No, I cannot depend on you and bother you anymore. So, let me go." I replied her, "I do not feel any bother. Why do you think like that? But if you want to leave then, okay. But know something that I will always be here." She smiled and hugged me and said, "Thank you Sarah." Then, she left. Since the day when Amy invited us, I had slowly started talking to Louis again. By talking to him I found out that he had a very hard time before. His mother raised him alone and his mother also worked many part time jobs to raise him. We also went to watch movies and I felt comfortable with him. He did not touch me also just to make me comfortable. Deep inside I started having feeling for him. But I could not express my feelings because I was afraid that he will leave me like Charlie did.

One day, suddenly he called me and said, "Tomorrow it is weekend. So are you going to spend your time with your parents?" I said, "Yes." and he said, "Actually I had wanted to meet your parents because I wanted to thank them for the past. So, can I join you?" I replied, "Well you really don't have to but you can join."

The next day, Louis came to pick me up. It was not the Lamborghini and also there was another familiar looking lady. He introduced her as his mother. I greeted her. She said, "You have grown beautifully." I smiled and thanked her. We headed to my parent's home. I had informed them earlier that a guest will also come. Louis’s mother and Louis gave the presents they brought. I had no idea that they brought so many gifts with them. Everyone sat and I went to kitchen to help my mother to serve the food. The day went well. They all talked about how Louis and I grew up. I and Louis, we just listened to the elders speaking. They spent a day with us and we went back.
