"SUPER FANGIRL"
"M-MARRIED?" even to say that she had a hunch of what Andrew wanted to say, it was still a different feeling and intensity to hear all that from the man.
It was then that the young man stared at her intently and then nodded one after another. "Yes, unless you have ..."
The young man couldn't continue what he wanted to say because Lana had already cut it off when she shook her head.
"N-No, I'm not committed to anyone if that's what you're thinking," she said still averting her gaze from the young man when she couldn't hold his gaze.
A beautiful smile tore from Andrew's lips as she said that.
"Really? At least once since then?" the young man asked meaningfully again.
Lana sighed and then nod.
"Look, as the father of my daughter, I think you have a right to know," she said.
Andrew nodded then sipped his coffee again. He positioned himself in the kind of sitting that as if even if they talked all day and all night it was okay.
"Sure," he said sipping his coffee again.
Lana laughed softly there then shook her head while smiling, she picked up the cup and sipped her coffee as well.
"You're really crazy," she said laughing because of the mixture of amusement and thrill that she couldn't show to the young man.
Andrew's eyes glazed over as she did so.
"You look even more beautiful when you smile, you know that?"
Lana felt a small finger tickle her heart so at that moment the young lady couldn't stop laughing louder.
"Stop!" she jokingly glared at the man.
Andrew didn't speak anymore but the intense amusement was still in his eyes along with the mischievous smile that tore from the young man's lips.
"Okay, I'll listen," then he said.
Smiling, Lana's eyes rolled her eyes then began to speak.
"I only had a boyfriend once, when I was still in college," she started.
Andrew's thick eyebrows rose. "Yeah?"
That simple word from the young man was meaningful so Lana quickly felt the heat on both of her cheeks.
"Yes. First in everything except to that thing ---,"
The young man nodded and then stared at her. For a moment their eyes remained locked. But as usual, Lana didn't last long so she was the first to look back.
"Didn't it work?" Andrew, when she remained silent.
He shrugged. "Maybe, because he won't look for and replace me with someone else if everything is okay, right?"
Andrew smiled at her before he spoke.
"Is that why you decided to leave me then? Because you still love him?"
"No! Of course not!" she corrects Andrew's misconception. "When that happened to us," Lana was quickly affected because of that but she also quickly lost it. "I told you I was still in college then. I was eighteen when we broke up, then I didn't have a hard time forgetting him because ---," at the thought, Lana was quickly stunned and then her face turned red as she stared at the person she was talking to.
The young man's beautiful eyebrows rose. Lana couldn't understand if it wasn't really tiring to watch her or maybe Andrew was just waiting for every reaction on her face. Because he just kept staring at her while she was telling the story.
"Yeah? Because what---?" Andrew in a suspicious tone.
Lana shrugged then decided to tell Andrew the truth. Because in fact, despite everything that had happened, she knew that the young man had long known all her weaknesses.
"I've been busy, you know, being your fangirl," she admitted, followed by a weak laugh.
Obviously, Andrew liked what she said because his handsome face quickly lit up. "As in, a super fan?"
"Can I still be called a super fan even if I can't watch your movies because I don't have money?" she replied following what she said with a weak laugh. "Actually Mama is the real reason how I found out about you. She loves TV series," she added.
When Andrew spoke Lana spontaneously stared into his eyes. And at that moment, she saw a different feeling in them. Tenderness, affection? Either way, she wasn’t sure. But she was sure it wasn't desire or even more so not lust either.
"You know what? For me, that's not the true measure of being a fan. A true fan knows how to love without asking or waiting for anything in return. Unconditional love," Andrew explained.
Lana just smiled there so the young man continued.
"Anyone can see my movies, everyone can ask me for a selfie. Anyone I meet can say they are an avid fan even if they are not. But meeting someone who can make you feel your importance even if she can't stare straight at you in the eyes? You know what I mean? " the young man to her.
Lana's smile widened at what Andrew had said along with a series of nods in agreement with what he had said. She felt like she was being rocked in a cloud because of everything she had heard.
"Do you know I really want to kiss you right now? I want to kiss you over and over again?" in a flash, after a moment of silence Andrew said that which is why Lana stared at him.
"W-What?" her nervous question coincided with her consecutive swallowing when she noticed the seemingly small flames in the young man's eyes.
Andrew nodded then smiled after a while.
"But I don't want you to think that's all I'm after you so I want to marry you," he explained.
Lana breathed a sigh of relief at what she heard. But on the other side of her mind, there was something she seemed to regret that she couldn’t understand because of what Andrew had said.
"I want to marry you because I want to give Andrea a whole family. But you don't have to hurry. Think about it carefully, I'm not forcing you. I'm willing to wait," Andrew explained.
"I don't know what to say," Lana said almost in a whisper then bowed her head.
That was when Andrew acted and then sat down next to her. He held her hands so reluctantly that when he perhaps felt her lack of rejection he squeezed them a little more.
"I just want you to know that I am willing to do anything for the good of our child," he said staring straight into her eyes.
"All parents are like that. But you don't have to tie yourself to me just because we have a child. You don't know me very well yet. What if you don't like the real me? Eventually, the family you want to give to Andrea will just be ruined," Lana explained.
"That's why I'm not rushing you. I'm actually willing to work hard to get to know you better if that's what you're worried about," he finally said and the young man winked at her mischievously so she blushed again.
"W-What do you mean?" Lana withdrew her hands held by Andrew.
"I will court you," was the young man's short reply.
It was then that the intense tremor that Lana felt finally subsided. She giggled then glared at Andrew though smiling.
"Are you serious?"
The young man shrugged his shoulders.
"Just wait and see," he said then bent down and then kissed her on the lips.
Although shocked, Lana still closes her eyes to that short kiss. Because no matter how short it was, the voltage of the sensation it brought throughout her was different.
"I-I thought so?"
"That's it for now, then the real thing," Andrew emphasized the last word he said then pinched the bridge of her nose with a shudder.
Lana never spoke again.
Even though she really wanted to joke with Andrew that as if he was confident that he would get her in his courtship, she chose not to because deep inside, whether she admits it or not, she's happy.
