"FAMILY DAY"
"IT IS Sunday tomorrow, why don't we go to church?" they were returning home from Andrea's ballet school when Andrew said that. At that moment he was busy in front of the steering wheel.
Lana's eyebrows met as she opened her mouth to refuse but her daughter who was in the backseat next to her Mama Cecille answered faster.
"Wow really Daddy?" the child asked excitedly.
Lana immediately turned to her aunt who just smiled at her and then kissed her granddaughter's hair.
"Of course, why don't you go to church together. At least for my beautiful granddaughter," said Mama Cecille.
Lana sighed and then inwardly glanced at the person next to her who had a beautiful smile. Andrew almost slapped her in the face the fact that he had won because he got what he wanted to happen.
"Well, you need to decide now Mommy. Before my princess gets bored," Andrew said softly, still smiling.
Lana rolled her eyes then tried to hide the intense thrill she felt because of what Andrew said. After that, she sighed then turned to her daughter who at that moment was looking at her and obviously waiting for what she would say.
"Okay," she smiled afterward.
Andrea was happily applauded because of what she said. That's why Lana automatically smiled and turned to Andrew without wiping the smile from her lips.
"Thak you," the young man winked at her afterward.
She immediately blushed at what Andrew had done. Then surprised to hear the faint giggle coming from Andrea.
"Mommy why are you blushing?" her daughter asked followed again by a weak giggle.
Lana was unable to speak there as she was embarrassed to look back at her daughter.
Far from their home, Lana saw a familiar car parked in front of their house.
"Mommy look it's Uncle Marius' car!" Andrea exclaimed excitedly pointing to the black SUV.
Andrea hurried out of Andrew's car when the young man parked it.
From inside the car, she saw her best friend get out of the SUV. Lana smiled there. She hurriedly unbuckled her seatbelt and leaned out of the car but that was stopped when she felt Andrew's hand on her arm.
It was only then that she realized that she and Andrew were the only ones there because her Mama Cecille had pushed open the previously locked gate.
"Who is that man?" Andrew asked seriously.
The young lady's eyebrows met immediately. She then carefully withdrew her own arm from Andrew.
"My best friend and Andrea's Godfather," she said holding back a laugh even though in fact she wanted to laugh out loud.
Andrew nodded then spoke again. Obviously trying to hide the annoyance especially when he sees Marius carrying their child.
"Godfather huh! The fact that my daughter was baptized without me? I didn't even see her little hands and feet when you gave birth to her. Her first cry, maybe good to hear, more beautiful than my favorite song."
Lana felt mixed emotions with every word the young man uttered.
"A-Andrew---," she couldn't continue what she wanted to say when suddenly the young man pulled her and kissed her hard.
Lana seemed to lose her sanity because of that kiss. Earnest and very deep. She felt that she had lost the ability to breathe because Andrew had not given her a chance to catch even a little air.
"W-What are you doing?" her confused question when the young man released her.
Her eyes immediately widened at Andrew's next move. He fastened his detached seatbelt and then restarted the car's engine.
"Fasten your seatbelt, we're going somewhere," Andrew said in his authorized tone.
The young lady felt a little shocked so she quickly complied. "Y-Your daughter will go looking for me," she would tell the truth.
Andrew let out a dry laugh when she said that and then spoke bitterly. "Call Mama Cecille, tell her we went somewhere," he replied.
"Where are you taking me?" she asked.
In Lana's mind, maybe if another man did this to her, Marius would be just an example. There is a good chance that she will be scared and panic too much.
But with Andrew, why doesn’t she have any worries? Is it because she is sure he cannot do her harm? Because the feeling that she is safe is more dominant when she is with the young man?
"In my house," was his short reply then gave her a meaningful glance.
Lana's whole body quickly felt hot because of the way the young man stared at her. At the same time, the inexplicable excitement she felt was due to her intense longing for him.
Just as Andrew wanted to happen, she called Mama Cecille and said they had something important to take care of. Andrea also talked to her and even her father and requested ice cream. Lana smiled at that.
Almost half an hour passed quickly and she seemed to think of the familiar route taken by the car driven by Andrew. Then the tingling on her chest intensified and turned to Andrew who was still busy in front of the steering wheel.
Lana remained silent then tried to calm herself and she succeeded. Even though in her mind there was solid evidence of her former suspicion.
In the garage, an elderly woman greeted Andrew as they got out of the car. She smiled kindly at her then spoke to the young man.
"Are you leaving Nana?" asked Andrew. "Ah, by the way, this is Lana," the young man introduced her.
The old woman nodded then stared at her. "Now I understand why," she said meaningfully then turned her eyes to Andrew. "I'll be back the other day, if you have any questions, just call me. Wait, have you eaten yet? There's food in the refrigerator, just heat it in the microwave," said the old woman.
"I'll take care of it," Andrew replied then approached the old woman and led her to the gate.
Andrew then guided her into the household. "That's Nana Yolly, she's been with me since I bought this house from Aunt Tina," the young man told her.
Lana nodded as her eyes quickly warmed when she caught sight of a familiar scene. Then with a cracked voice, she spoke, almost in a whisper. "N-Nothing has changed, i-it's still the same," she said looking up at Andrew that she saw with astonishment in his eyes.
"What?" was Andrew's question.
Lana shook her head one after the other and then suppressed her emotions. "W-What are we going to talk about?" she changes the subject.
At that question, the emotion in Andrew's eyes quickly changed. She immediately saw the intense burning of desire there. That's why she wasn't surprised when the young man pushed the door shut followed by the sound of the lock.
"Do you know that apart from you I haven't brought any women here or even to my condo?" the young man to her and threw the car key on the center table.
Lana was startled there. And also because of the sudden weakening of her knees due to Andrew's deep and meaningful stare at her, the young lady automatically sat down on the sofa behind her.
"R-Really?" she said then let out a deep sigh.
Andrew nodded and then touched the hem of his polo shirt. He then took it off and it's like a piece of paper thrown in any part of the living room.
"It's hot,I'll just take a shower," he said.
Lana breathed a little easier there. But that was only for a moment because she froze when Andrew took her hand and then pulled her upright.
