Anyone I would tell what happened to the werewolves present here would probably think I was completely out of my mind. I was almost used to Tyler worrying about me, but this was a whole lot absurd.
The five werewolves seemed to be trying to anticipate my every wish. You almost mothered me.
When the one who was holding my feet in the air finally put them down and I was finally a little more comfortable, they were buzzing around me the whole time. They got pillows, 5 at a time, so I was more comfortable. A second cover was also added. And as if that wasn't enough, they brought me X-different things to eat and drink. There was almost everything you could imagine, including 10 different drinks, both hot and cold drinks. A small table, which they had fetched from somewhere, was almost bending under the weight of the dishes draped on it. Fruit cut into small pieces, small sandwiches that even went to the trouble of removing the edges of the bread,
I was wondering where the werewolves got all this stuff from? Although one or two of them left the room again and again, they weren't gone long enough to do it all themselves.
But then it got too colorful for me. Namely when they tried to feed me, so to speak, by holding the things directly in front of my mouth so that I only had to bite off. After all, I was no longer a toddler who had to be fed, but an almost grown woman with two healthy hands.
The guys seemed quite confused as I turned away from their hands and tried to get more distance between their hands and my mouth.
The door that led into the room opened. The doctor who had treated me stood in the doorway and gave us all an irritated look. "What are you doing there?" He walked further into the room and closed the door. "You intelligent beasts do know that you really make a fool of yourself in front of the girl?" he said, rolling his eyes. "But... We..." someone wanted to say something, but Jared's twin silenced him with an iron look.
"How is my patient?", asked the doctor and took a few steps towards me. "Do you have a headache? Dizziness? Nausea? Does your throat still hurt?" As if by reflex, I grabbed my neck. "So a sore throat," said the doctor: "Jared get some ice cream for Lily." The person addressed got up to set off, but stopped just before the door. "Um Luke?" "What's Jared?" "What kind of ice cream should I get?" The doctor of the pack looked at me and rolled his eyes, then he turned to his twin ?" Luke said to his brother with a sarcastic undertone. He growled once, but then left the room.
The corner of the doctor's mouth twitched up, apparently amused. I looked at him confused. The growl didn't sound exactly harmless to me. But apparently none of the werewolves present here took this very seriously.
The doctor looked at me again, this time with a frown. "I hope you're not lactose intolerant, are you?" I shook my head in the negative went."
I looked at the doctor in confusion. What he said and his reaction to it were absolutely the opposite. I kind of didn't see the reason he seemed so amused that his own brother was going to attack him.
But Jared came back just as I was about to finish this thought. In his hand he held a small white bowl with a spoon sticking out of it.
Without commenting on his brother, he handed me the bowl. This time without trying to feed me. I smiled up at him gratefully. His grumpy look brightened up a bit.
Only now did I lower my eyes to the ice and was amazed. There were three different colored scoops of ice cream, neatly draped, covered with different toppings. From a caramel sauce to small marshmallows to chocolate sprinkles. Everything was more than sufficient, as was the case with the snacks bavor, of which I have not been able to eat a bite so far.
In order not to appear too greedy, I only took a small portoin on the spoon. And to be honest it was the best ice cream I've had in my life. There was ice cream, like everything else that was beautiful, but it wasn't necessary for life, only on special occasions. I and probably many other people who lived today associated their birthdays with ice cream, because every year you got a portion for your birthday and it was the absolute highlight, especially for children.
"Do you like the ice cream," one of the other werewolves asked. I nodded, but focused more on my ice cream so it wouldn't melt faster than I could eat it.
"Oh guys, will one of you come running with me later? Somehow I can't concentrate well today and want to clear my head.", another werewolf turned to the others present. "It's already tonight full moon again." said Luke only to that. ,,Real? Yet again? Without a mate you don't really have a clue when it's coming up again." "You may be a weird werewolf Marlon. How can you not keep an eye on the lunar cycle. Our whole being is geared towards it. A mate only lets the effects get stronger." Jared grumbled.
I looked from one to the other in confusion, hoping one of them would take pity on me and explain what they were talking about and what a werewolf's mate had to do with it. After all, I was a werewolf's mate.
"You have no idea what we're talking about, do you?" Luke asked. I shook my head in the negative "I shook my head again. I had no idea what they were talking about and what this WSZ was supposed to be. ,,What was your companion doing the last time on the full moon?" asked the werewolf named by Jared as Marlon. I thought about it for a moment, but really didn't get it. At the time I only saw Tyler himself when he brought me something to eat, after all I was in Tyler's room the whole time. I didn't even notice that he behaved differently towards me at some point. I shrugged my shoulders.
"Oh", said Jared: "The future alpha seems to have suppressed it." "Yes, and probably quite successfully too, considering that his companion didn't notice anything." Jared's twin noted and then continued: "Well, this full moon will look different. The wolf in him won't allow him to stay away from his mate again." I looked at the werewolves in alarm. What they said didn't sound very good.
"Good Lily, eat your ice cream and we'll show you the WSZ." Luke decided.
