It was enough for me so slowly. Werewolves kept sticking a needle in my arm to stun me. At least this time it wasn't a room in a hospital, but apparently an ordinary room where I woke up.
As soon as I woke up, I realized that I was alone. There was no sign of Tyler. I got up to maybe find a way out.
There were two doors that looked completely alike. Behind the first one I reached was a bath, which didn't really interest me now. So I quickly turned to the second door. I was frustrated to find that it was locked. What should I do now? I looked around the room a bit.
There was a pile of clothes on a small side table. The clothes were probably meant for me. They certainly didn't belong to Tyler and, upon closer inspection, were roughly my size. A plain dark blue top, black pants, socks and underwear. Nothing flashy or extravagant, which I preferred. I decided to change clothes as I was still wearing clothes assigned to me at the hospital.
When I went into the bathroom to avoid being surprised when I changed my clothes, I realized that there was no key to lock the bathroom with. After a moment's thought, I quickly changed my clothes. I also took the opportunity to wash myself.
Just when I was finished and came out of the bathroom, the other door opened almost simultaneously. Unsurprisingly, Tyler walked into the room.
"Nice to see you're awake. You slept quite a long time. I got you some food," he said, not even mentioning that he drugged me. I stayed where I was while he simply placed a plate of food on a small table , whom I hadn't even seen before,
but what interested me more was that he hadn't locked the door he'd come in. I tiptoed to the door, his back still to me.
Just as I got my hands on the doorknob, two arms wrapped around my waist. "Oh Lily, you can't just get out like that. You stay in here for as long as it takes." Tyler pulled me away from the door and pushed me towards the table and an adjacent chair while I just thought about what he was implying. However, a look got me on the plate to other thoughts. There was a not exactly small piece of meat on it and therefore some vegetables with a sauce on top.
Maria and I have never actually eaten meat. It wasn't in the rations for either of us. She only had a job as a laundress and I was classified as disabled as I could not speak and was therefore unable to communicate with others. As a result, the rations of food we were allotted were rather small, and even if I had also had a job, meat would still rarely have been on the table as it was considered valuable.
In any case, that didn't seem to matter here. After all, wolves were also predators and ate meat, so why would werewolves have a great diet? As the companion of a wolf, I got a rather meat-heavy diet from now on. I still couldn't tell if that was good or bad for me.
I sat down and took the cutlery. But I was stopped by something I saw out of the corner of my eye. Tyler was standing there holding a folder with my name on it.
I didn't even have to guess what it said. It's my medical record. He frowned a few times as he read. He must have noticed that I was watching him. Tyler looked up and eyed me. ,,Is everything ok? Don't you like the food?" he asked me.
I shook my head. That can still be something.
"I don't quite understand what you want from me..." Tyler said somehow depressed. At least he seemed to be in my eyes. But I couldn't tell him what my problem was. As if out of reflex I
wanted approach him, but I was able to suppress it. In order to be able to bring my request closer to him, I pointed to my medical file. "The file? What about it?" he asked me. I got up from my seat and yet, reluctantly, walked towards him. I stopped a little in front of him and held out my hand for the file.
I expected him not to give me the file, but Tyler surprised me. Without even hesitating, he gave it to me. I glanced at the file in my hand and then put it aside.
"You don't want me to read them." He murmured softly. I nodded. "
Okay, if you don't want me to, that's fine with me." I smiled slightly. To be honest, I didn't expect it. More likely that he insisted on reading them.
"But now please eat before the food gets completely cold."
In order not to upset him, I sat down and ate something. It wasn't much I could swallow and Tyler didn't seem too happy when he saw how much, or in considering how little I've eaten.
"Are you sure you don't want to eat anymore?" he asked me. I just said no to his question. Actually, I was really hungry, but I had a bad feeling in my stomach and suspected that something was going to happen.
And as if on cue, the door swung open and a woman came in. She looked around skeptically and caught her eyes on me. "Mother, I know you're Luna in this pack, but could you at least knock or not?" Tyler turned to the woman, who must have been the one who scolded her in the hospital and not to forget it , his mother.
Ignoring her son, she came towards me and grabbed my face by the jaw with one hand. I tried to free myself from her grip, but she only squeezed my jaw more, and now quite painfully, too.
"There she is, the poor, little, mute human girl," she practically spat in my face .
"Mother, what is that? ' Tyler interjected.
"She's supposed to be my eldest son's mate? Such a weak thing? Just unworthy." She let go of me and turned to her son. "You should try to get your own pack soon. The doctors think that the change should help with the problem. Then this farce would finally be over ." "Mother, I just found her yesterday and I find it inappropriate the way you're talking to my mate," Tyler said angrily. "
Oh, never mind, she's human," the woman said again.
"But mother!" exclaimed Tyler, "You were once..."
He didn't get any further because his mother interrupted him: "That's completely irrelevant now. Anyway, I submitted your request for a pack of your own and the Alpha of Alphas will take care of it now. So you should get on with the people, surely it won't be long before you can accept your new position." "
Mother!" he cried out really horrified: "What does father say about that? He can't think that's right?!" "
You leave your father alone and that's an order from me, your Luna. He has more important things to do than bother with that." Tyler's mother said, pointing on me. She looked in my direction again, made a disgusted face, turned away and left the room.
What was that? I looked after her, shocked and confused. The woman despised me with all her heart and she seemed to have something to say here too. This may indeed be something. I didn't really understand most of what she was talking about. What kind of application is it and things like that. I could only think that it probably wouldn't bode well for me.
