Tyler had actually given me all his vegetables in exchange for my steak, since it would be a shame to let it go to waste.
In my opinion, you could have put it in a hot pan or oven again so that the meat could continue to cook.
But Tyler was already enjoying the half-raw piece of meat.
I, on the other hand, turned to the vegetables.
It was also quite tasty, a bit too soft for my taste, but actually okay.
The vegetables on the two plates were actually enough to fill me up.
Tyler, however, didn't seem to have had enough of even the two steaks.
"Would you like me to bring you something too?" he asked me, but I just shook my head.
Then Tyler disappeared again with the two now empty plates.
"Here," said a quiet voice and put a small bowl of ice cream in front of my nose.
Surprised, I looked at the person.
It was the boy who had swallowed the pills.
I was surprised that he was here. He was working still pretty weak and still belongs in the infirmary in my eyes "
It...uh-me," he stammered uncertainly.
I pointed to the seat that was on my other side from Tyler's seat.
"Thanks," he mumbled softly and sat down.
"H-Here," he said, handing me just a spoon to eat the ice cream with.
I nodded and smiled slightly, then took a closer look at the sundae.
In it, two scoops of ice slowly melted in front of him.
I took a small spoonful of the ice cream.
I was actually full, but dessert was always an option.
It just felt a little weird being watched from the side. Somehow I had the feeling he was waiting for something.
I stopped spooning the ice cream and looked questioningly at the 15 year old.
"I um..." he stuttered, "Thank you... Thank you for just being there. The Doc told me who you and your mate are.
And I'm sorry if this causes you any inconvenience are. I mean... well, I've heard... that people in general are supposed to be a little more sensitive."
I smiled at him reassuringly.
I still felt sorry for him and he certainly didn't need to apologize to me.
With the best will in the world I couldn't imagine his future role here in the pack.
,,Oh! Tyler asked, coming back from the other side with just a plateful of food left. "
Yes future Alpha," the boy said formally, bowing his head slightly.
"You don't have to address me as 'future alpha'. After all, you will also play an important role in the pack on the next full moon."
"Yes... probably.", the boy said, but seemed rather absent.
"Are you from the pack here?" Tyler continued to ask him.
"I-uh, what?" The 15-year-old snapped out of his thoughts.
Between bites of his food, Tyler asked him again, "Are you from here or another pack?" "
I... I'm not from here. The last omega of this pack had a vision just before he died , which pack the next omega for that pack comes from."
"Yeah, that makes sense. To be honest, I can't imagine how the visions work."
I- I don't know either. After all, I'm not an Omega yet. And there's hardly any information about it anyway," he said and was answered for no Taste a little too pale around the nose.
Tyler probably noticed this too.
"Are you all right?" he asked, even interrupting his meal.
"I think I just need some fresh air."
