I also walked the boy outside while Tyler got him a drink.
Outside the door, I was surprised at how cold it was outside, but the youth's face regained some color.
"I... I'm sorry for causing you such trouble..."
I stroked his arm, hopefully reassuringly.
"Could you...", he interrupted himself and looked around frantically for a moment, but then started whispering, "Could you do me a favor? But no one else should know about that! The other werewolves wouldn't understand my request and I would be in trouble.”
I nodded. While I didn't know what the favor was yet, I would do my best to help him.
"I know you can't speak, so it shouldn't be obvious. I don't want to lose my entire identity to being an Omega. So I wanted to ask you if I could tell you my name.
It's not even about being addressed by my name. I just want someone here to know.
None of the wereelves here want to know my name since I'm going to be an Omega and they're only addressed as such. So of course only if you want to, I don't want to force you into anything."
The boy seemed completely exhausted.
Although that was pretty obvious with his previous drug abuse.
I just couldn't understand how the other one Werewolves no longer cared.
After all, like everyone else, I was taught that a pack was basically one big family. Certainly not everyone liked everyone, but that was the way it was with people.
But these 15-year-olds here next to me, who drew attention to his condition through his act of desperation, apparently received no support from the pack at all.
So I nodded.
If none of the werewolves wanted to help or listen to this poor boy, I would do it as far as humanly possible.
"Really?" he asked me, not seeming to quite believe I had actually nodded. "
I...I. Thanks...You have no idea what that means to me."
Tears welled up in his eyes and you could see how happy he was about it.
"Hey, aren't you feeling better?" Tyler suddenly interrupted the situation and walked towards us.
The boy's expression froze in a fearful look that appeared on his face in a split second. He was obviously afraid of that someone might have overheard what he just said to me. "
Here." Tyler said worriedly, handing him a bottle of water
. "Have a drink, you really don't look well."
I looked at Tyler, still holding out the bottle of water to the future omega,
he seemed genuinely concerned and probably wanted to get better.
In my opinion, it was a bit in contrast to the fact that he otherwise didn't care that the boy was so terribly unhappy with his fate.
The 15-year-old caught himself and with a quiet, "thank you." took the bottle from Tyler and drank some from it. "
If you don't mind," Tyler started talking again go? It's a bit too cold out here for Lily, I think, and she's only recently been ill herself."
The boy nodded and we made our way to the entrance of this huge building.
Tyler took a few steps forward and the boy left Falling behind a bit,
I stayed next to him worried if he was going to get any worse.
The moment Tyler opened the door, the 15 year old next to me whispered a single word. His name.
"Milo." the boy whispered softly in my ear.
"What's wrong?" Tyler asked from the door.
I looked at him uncertainly.
He seemed to have noticed that the werewolf next to me had said something.
"I- I'm just tired. I'll probably lie down right away." "
Yeah, maybe that would be a good thing, you really do look a bit pale. But fortunately everything will be fine again tomorrow, thanks to being a werewolf.", Tyler said and it seemed to me it as if Tyler didn't mumble another sentence under his breath afterwards. However, I couldn't understand him at all and Milo just sort of made a face, but unfortunately I didn't know whether that was because of Tyler's first sentence or because of the mumbling.
We went back inside and made our way back to our rooms. I wasn't quite sure if that was the case. To me, the building was just a giant maze.
"I have to go this way now. See you then." Milo murmured softly and disappeared into one of the hallways.
I wondered if he too, as I feared Tyler had overheard you?
It seemed to Milo, understandably, that it was very important that someone knew his name However, the other werewolves here probably saw it a little differently and I didn't know what Tyler would do if he had just really noticed that. When
we were both alone, Tyler put an arm around my shoulders.
"You probably should have stayed inside. Outside it was just too cold for a human being. You seem to be a bit hypothermic too."
I just rolled my eyes slightly.
We humans weren't that sensitive after all.
Arriving in the room, Tyler sighed loudly once as he closed the door behind us.
"Lily, me "I'm not stupid, and I'm certainly not deaf. I did catch what the soon-to-be Omega said to you. And to be honest, I'm very glad that the three of us weren't there at the time. Maybe you don't always understand what we're doing , but as for what we werewolves do or don't do, that's entirely up to you. If anyone else had seen it, Lily would have been in real trouble."
Unsure looked at him.
Why was it so bad that I knew Milo's name?
"Oh Lily," Tyler said and didn't hug me. "I'll explain everything to you, I promise. But you have to promise me something "You must never, under any circumstances, say the boy's name out loud. Please, promise me that.", he begged me and looked at me intently.
I didn't know why, but I nodded.
It seemed incredibly important to Tyler.
And I couldn't imagine Tyler asking me to do something like that for no reason.
"Thank you Lily. Let's just sit on the bed and I'll explain everything to you."
He pulled me onto the bed with him and fell backwards onto the bed, but he pulled me with him.
I had closed my eyes in shock and was lying on his chest when I opened them again.
I looked at him uncertainly.
"Sorry," he said softly with a sly smile that made it clear to me that he wasn't all that sorry.
"I thought lying down would be more comfortable."
After these words he breathed a light kiss on my forehead.
At that exact moment, without any announcement, the door to our room opened.
We both looked up in surprise.
