Judgment

We were moving faster than ever before. I may get some tickets but I don't mind,  the office will take care of it. We nicknamed the secret service organisation of the human we called the office. Once I reached the reservation I stopped even trying to remain within any limits. The animals are very rare here because the existence of the wolves is enough to scare them all away. Only small birds and rare animals remained but they were very few and would hardly come out.

I sighed when we reached our home. It was a lot of quiet considering a wedding was going to happen. Did Annabeth change her mind? It was hardly probable because she is not fickle-minded. She was very strong and that's why I chose her as my Luna. But unfortunately, the wedding will not happen between us because we are both in love with different people. I didn't care at all before. But when it got nearer and nearer. I felt awful and she too was panicked hence her unhappiness. But I promised each one of this pack their love, happiness and prosperity.

She deserved to be much happier than me. I only wanted to do the right thing. Even if my mate wasn't here I knew I would do this for sure. She was only part of the reason why I'm cancelling my wedding. I won't marry my mate right away because we were both not ready for a relationship. Maybe someday in the future, we would be able to put all shit behind us. Then perhaps we would marry. Here marriage is much like a vowing ceremony. We don't exchange rings or anything but wear our traditional dresses and in my case, an illustrious headgear will be there to signify my importance. But the rest were all simple customs. But Annabeth was changing our norms.

From what I heard so far she had organised a human wedding. I don't wonder why because I know the exact reason. It was different for us since we weren't mates. So she thought of changing the routine.

"I think I should talk to Annabeth first. You should remain here. I warned him. I suspect that she might be overcome by emotions and may just reject him outright. I can't let it happen. I know she loved him more than she could ever love me. Maybe she would get married, after all. I could easily convince Greta though she might be a little deep. She would understand nothing more is better than living with one's you love I could even let my mate go since she didn't have to stay here anymore, we could try dating as humans would. I could show up with flowers to see her.

I was walking briskly I only saw a few securities. Once they noticed me they passed the message to their walkie talkie. I went near him he immediately bowed down. " Where is everyone"?, I asked him. "In the common area Alpha but you are not to go there. You are to remain here till everyone comes. " I'm not going to sit around here. I have some important announcements to make. I'm going To see what everyone was up to"?, With that, I walked towards the Common area.

When I reached there I was immediately greeted by my pack each and everyone of age was present there. Everyone moved aside for me to pass through. This time when I looked at my people's eyes I saw sadness and pity. I based myself on something major. I don't know what it was yet! It could be good or bad. When I reached the end there was nothing I breathed a sigh of relief. I saw everyone in the boy band standing there. As if they were doing some major announcement of what I wonder.

"Alpha, we want you to see something. We are very sorry it happened. We tried to contact you", said Seb. " All of us were in practise area when the guard informed us. Again we are sorry", said Tony. "Enough I don't understand what has happened? Tell me", I pleaded with them. " You have to see it for yourself", Tony said leading me out of the room which was heavily decorated.

"I suddenly caught on to the situation. I was lead on by my boys like a bloody horse. Like they were warning me about something happened. I had to bloody control myself or I would shift. I hate any kind of drama and this was no less. I finally reached Annabeth's door. Many guards stood before that which was a surprise considering how she hated guards. She was a private person and wished to remain so. So we had removed everyone from her door even though she was future Luna.

Seb motioned the guard to open the door. But I smelled blood already. I took a huge breath waiting to see whatever unfolds before me. It was opened and I almost doubled over to see the sight before me. Annabeth laid down on the floor. A silver knife was beside her and to my complete shock and disgust, my mate sat there huddled in the corner.

I tried to ignore her but I couldn't she was sitting down not looking at me shivering. Suddenly, Reed appeared at my side and seeing his mate he cried and ran to her. " Take her away before he knows it's her", said Li. Then I knew who was responsible for this. I wish I could pretend that she was innocent for a moment but I couldn't. She had done this before and she did it now and she will do it again. No matter how hard I try I couldn't change our fate. I tried that's it and failed miserably. Annabeth lost her life because of me.

Endless pits of despair and hatred coursing throughout me. I pulled my mate and dragged her out of that room. Reed's howls of pain haunted me all the way. Once I reached my office. I let go of her hands and she fell to the ground. I didn't take any pity on her. She had brought this on herself. If only she waited for me I would have broken off my wedding if that's what she wants. "Why did you kill Annabeth "?, I asked my face was matching the colour of blood in her dress.

She looked as if she was in trance. I shook her hard to get a response out of her. I only got a whimper in reply. "If you don't I would kill anyone dear to you understood?", I threatened her. She hiccuped and said," I didn't do anything please trust me". "How did you come to her room?", I asked her again.

"I escaped my guards and climbed out of my window. I wanted to go since I couldn't see your wedding anymore. I would go mad. So I went to say goodbye to her. But when I reached her…", she didn't complete. "She is caught from fleeing the scene", said Li who stood behind me. "Is this true "?, I asked her. She nodded her head. The rage was coursing throughout my system.

She was shaking now the adrenaline had left her body leaving her with fear. "It was something Annabeth said to me before she was dying ", she said. "What did she say to you?", I asked her even though I knew she was lying. "She said save yourself. They will come after you. Normally I wouldn't have run. But I was afraid,  drunk and alone", she said bowing down her head. "I never thought you would do something like this. But I should have known since you had done this before many times to me", I roared at her. She shivered I  fear.

"Bitch you killed her", it was Reed. He was at the door he lunged towards her. I blocked him but he came at her again but this time he shifted. I dragged him again in my human form. I was helped by Seb and Li who took Reed away from there. "Take him to his parents. He needs some rest", I told them.

"Everyone is waiting for you to pass judgment for her in the common area", said Liam. I nodded my head. It is my turn to step up. "Tell them I will pass judgement tonight in the full moon. Keep her on guards and nowhere near Reed if you can manage ", I told them.

I know and feared the moment I had to pass judgement against her. I didn't get the opportunities before but right now all I have is time. But first I had to meet those who had lost someone they love dearly.

I went first to see Greta she was lying on the bed her face full of tears. I gently touched her shoulders. She whimpered in response and I held on to her. "My poor child. How it might have hurt her", she cried hard. I sighed and said," I can't replace what you have lost but will not see the face of your granddaughter's face every day ", I promised her.

I rose from my seat vowing to take revenge on my mate and whoever was behind this. First, I have to deal with the public judgment of my mate in which I had to prosecute her.
