Breakfast 44
I went back after having a long talk with Lana about what was she supposed to send in that fucking email. My mood is already ruined no man wanted to talk about treaties and shit on his wedding night. This wasn't a real wedding but we took a blood vow and I will honour it with my life. At this point, I was not against putting babies inside her but only with her permission. Well not exactly conceive because it is possible only during the moon period. But we can practice well for that day. I know that I'm beyond hope now but I can't help it. I have tried my level best but I couldn't stop my feelings.
I wanted to give us a chance from the bottom of my heart. When I tell her she is going to think I was crazy but it is true. I will do whatever it takes for us to be together. I wonder why the war was looming over us whenever we find each other? But I can't lose her the century has taught me nothing but life without her would be a waste. I'm going to trust her with my heart once more. I don't care how it will end up but I was determined.
When I went back she was peacefully sleeping. I stood there looking at her looking unconcerned almost like a child. Her face looked at peace for once. I couldn't ask for a better gift from the Moon Goddess. I want her body, heart and soul. I promise to worship her as long as we live. I can't take anymore, of her anger and hate towards me. I want to wipe away the tears everyone including me has given her. I will stand by her if she does the same. I want to be happy for once in my life.
I went near her bed and laid down next to her. She was breathing steadily. I sighed and closed my eyes. I knew my sleeping days are over now that every day something new is threatening the tribe. But my mate was with me together we can get passed through this all. When I woke up I was greeted by a beautiful scent of soap and my mate. She was drying her hair using my towel. I was so aroused to see that we'll don't blame me she is my wife now. I wonder if she is interested to become one in its true sense.
"Good Morning", I called her.
" Morning. Why did you leave last night?", she asked me? I didn't want to answer her. It will only worry her.
"Something came up", I said flippantly. She nodded her head but I could see that she was hurt by my nonchalant answer.
" Hey!, what happened?", I asked her lightly.
"Is this how it's going to be. You leaving me at night to do important stuff", she said.
" Pretty much", I told her secretly happy that she was annoyed by my sudden departure.
"I don't care where you go but I want to know where because if someone asks me I should be able to answer it. All these times I have learned my lesson. Your people will kill me by the time you get back so at least I should have some idea where you are. So they would hold on a bit longer", she said.
" Don't be dramatic my people are not as bad as you make them out to be", I said in a fit of anger.
"I know your people and you very well by now. So don't bother defending", she said.
" Alright, you win I don't want to fight. Let us start a truce I will tell you where I'm going before and you will not hide secrets from me", I told her.
"Ok. It's a deal", she said. I sighed feeling happy for no reason.
" So what should I do today?", she asked me.
"It's customary to have our breakfast together, with the lead members of the pack", I told her. Her face curled in distaste when I mentioned my family.
" I can't understand why you hate them so much. They are extremely good to you", I told her.
"It's because of you. They are only tolerating my presence and counting the days they get rid of me", she told me.
" How about you tolerate them just as much as they do you?", I asked her. She nodded her head reluctantly. But I felt I had already won this round with her.
When we got ready everyone was seated in their chair. They greeted us rising from their respective chair. She looked dumbfounded by the change in their attitude. But this is how it was going to be Luna will be respected just as Alpha of the pack. I was glad that she saw it with her own eyes.
I want them all to learn to accept each other. So I don't have to stand as a buffer anymore. The conversation flowed freely mainly from the guys. Only Sebastian was the least participator but the rest of them were quite good. To my surprise, Tony asked her about her favourite food. I listened and remembered that it was different each time.
The last time I met her it was cake but this time she said Sushi. I will direct our cook to make Sushi for her. She can throw in the cake too. Anything that will make her happy and stay with me which doesn't sound imposing anymore. When I rose from the seat she held to my hand. I froze to the spot and looked at her. She looked uncomfortable to say in front of others. So I ordered them away with a flick of my hand. I raised my eyebrows at her questionably.
"I'm bored out of my mind. I have no idea what to do to pass my time. Earlier I could do cleaning or sewing too. But you have people for all. I miss my friend ", she said her voice barely audible.
