STRONG YET WEAK
CHAPTER TWENTY SIX
SARAH'S POV
I woke up to the bright light of the sun ray coming through the windows. I had the most wonderful dream in which I found myself as the lucky wife of a billionaire. I know it might sound lame but I hope someday it will come true.
I got the bed and headed to the bathroom to take my shower before going to greet Mr Russell.
Speaking of yesterday, my heart skipped when I saw him staring at me when I came out of the pool.
I wasn't expecting to see him show up that way and angry at the same. What's even more surprising was how he pushed me to the wall and moved closer to me like he had something in mind.
The feeling I got during that moment when he was close to me was crazy. It was something I had never felt towards any man but yesterday I found myself smiling and thinking of the moment.
I hope my crazy heart doesn't fall in love with my boss because it's an impossible thing to even think about.
I came out from the shower minutes after and cleaned up before getting dressed in a pink crop top and a jeans bum short.
I finished up the dressing with a little bit of makeup before packing my hair in a ponytail.
After checking myself out in the mirror, I was good to go before leaving the room.
I got to the front of his door and let out a sigh before knocking on the door.
"Yes, come in." I heard him say from the room before opening the door.
The suite was just like my own but had dark curtains which made the room a bit dim.
"What are you standing there for?" He uttered, as I walked towards the living room where he was working on his laptop.
"Good morning sir." I greeted, standing a few inches away from him.
"Morning." He answered, taking a glance at me before concentrating back on the laptop.
"Take a seat. I've ordered the breakfast to be brought here." He added, while I remained quiet.
After some couple of minutes, we heard a knock and I decided to check who was at the door but he stopped me and urged the person to come in.
It was breakfast room service brought by two of the staff on a wheeler as Mr Russell instructed them to arrange the dishes on the center table.
Mr Russell handed each of them a hundred euro which they thanked him and left with a smile on their face.
"You can serve yourself. I want to take a shower." He said and walked over to the bedroom, leaving the laptop behind.
I really feel uncomfortable around him which he must have probably noticed and made that excuse.
I moved closer to the table and checked out all dishes which turned out new to me except for the bacon and eggs before settling on it.
I was halfway with the meal when his phone began to ring from where I left the laptop.
"You can pick the call. Aunt wants to speak with you." He uttered, from the room as I grabbed the phone and picked up the call, placing it on speaker.
"Jay, my dear, is she with you?"
"It's me, aunt." I announced.
"How are you doing, darling and how is Paris?"
"I'm doing fine, aunt. How's Max doing?"
"He's here, child. He has been plastering me just to talk to you. Let me give him the phone." She said and before I knew it Mac's sweet voice bloomed out.
"How are you doing, mommy? Please, come back soon. I miss you so much."
"I'm fine, dear. I miss you too. How are you doing? I hope you're sleeping on time and eating healthy."
"Yes mommy. Aunt is taking care of me and has been keeping me company but I feel lonely without you here." He responded in a sad tone.
"Don't worry, dear. I'll be back soon, okay? Make sure you remain a good boy to grandma, okay."
"Okay mommy. Grandma wants to talk to you. Bye!"
"Bye honey. Give the phone to aunt, okay."
"Sarah, my child, there's something I want to tell you."
"Okay. I'm all ears." I replied, hoping she wasn't going to talk about Mr Russell, who I am sure is listening to our conversation.
“Your father actually came here looking for you. He came to collect money but I had to tell him you were not around but he had vowed he would return to meet. What was that all about my dear? Is that the life you really faced living with him?” She said, which broke me inside.
I had totally forgotten to take the money to him since I couldn’t get the chance to and I didn’t know if Mr Russell was going to permit me without thinking I’m planning something against him.
“Are you there, my child?” Her voice bloomed out which broke me out of my thoughts.
“I’ll handle it once I get back, aunt. You don’t have to worry. I’m sorry for causing you such trouble.”
“Oh, please, my child. I just felt the need to let you but don’t say a word to Jay about it. He won’t take it easy once he learns about it.”
“Yeah, sure. Thanks.”
“It’s nothing, dear. Take care of yourself.”
“Okay. Bye.” I answered, after which she ended the call.
JAYDEN'S POV
I can’t believe that old fool had the guts to walk into my own mansion and make such a fuss. I just don’t get why she still acted normal when aunt told her of what her father had done.
I wasn’t expecting her to place the call on speaker in the first place. What really impressed me was how she was interacting with my son and how open and free he sounded on the phone.
I feel lucky for the great change she has done on my little champ which I couldn’t do all alone. It’s really rare to come across a woman like her.
I have to get back at her father once we get back to the States but how is it possible Henry never mentioned it to me or wasn't he aware as well?
She doesn’t have to keep tolerating him any longer. I’ll help her out since she doesn’t seem fake like everyone and also as a way to appreciate her effort towards my son.

“Are you done with breakfast?”
“Yes sir.” She answered immediately and stood on her feet.
“You have to stop addressing me that way until our job here is done. You can use those names couples use.”
“Okay sir.”
“The party is starting tonight by seven. I’ll send some people to help you out with your appearance.” I stated and walked over to the sofa where my laptop was before grabbing my phone.
“Have you spoken to her?” I inquired, acting like I didn’t listen to their conversation.
“Yes sir.”
“You can head back to your suite or check out the hotel and do whatever you want except swimming.”
“Alright sir.”
“Here you go. You can use it to get whatever you want.” I took out my unlimited credit card from my trouser, handing it towards her.
“No, sir. I’m fine. I don’t need anything.”
“You can get something for Max or aunt to take back to them. I’m sure they will be happy.”
“Okay sir. Thanks.” She replied, taking it from me before leaving.
I don’t know why I feel pitiful towards her. I see so much of Amanda’s in her and both their stories seem a bit similar.
My Amanda was also facing such problems with her step-father after her mother’s death before I met her but for Sarah, her father is the reason for her problems.
I’ll see to it that her father doesn’t get away with what he did to her. There’s a limit to treating your biological daughter that way and I’ll make him regret his actions.
