PAINFUL MEMORIES
CHAPTER TWENTY NINE
JAYDEN'S POV
I could have totally lost it if Sarah hadn't held my hand and said those words. She seemed to know from my look how I despised the living hell out of the evil man who called himself my father-in-law.
I've been trying to forget all the problems he caused to me and Amanda when we got married but it seems he knows how to find a means to enjoying waiting me lose my cool.
I don't care if everyone in the party agrees with what he said and judges me but I know I did the right thing by breaking ties with him.
He has done so much damage that he deserved death but because I made a vow to Amanda, I can't kill the b***d.
Behind those faces is a monster much worse than I've become but not to the point of what he has done.
Who could ever stoop so low to rape your step daughter behind your wife's back if it isn't a monster and still acts like he never did a thing.
It was Amanda's promise to break all ties with him and never allow him any where our son which I did.
"What can I get you, sir?" The voice of the bar man broke my thoughts.
"One shot of vodka mixed with whiskey."
"Right away sir."
I just couldn't take all the anger in without getting myself drunk. It's the least I could do to forget what has happened tonight besides by tomorrow, I'll be out of this country.
"Here is your drink, sir." He said while I grabbed the drink and gulped it down in one goal.
It was the perfect combination to make me high and uncontrollable. At least there's no restrictions when drunk and it's also regarded as a state of influence.
"More!" I demanded, dropping the cup on the table.
RYAN'S POV
"I still don't believe the words Mr Malcom said at the party. The information I got about Mr Russell doesn't match at all with what that fool claims. I knew Mr Russell felt hurt and embarrassed that's why he left the party. I feel sorry for him." Mr Hopkins said, while I was in the washroom listening to his conversation with his two friends.
I should have known he would be a fool to support Jay and I won't let him get away so easily for calling me a fool.
"I don't like Mr Malcom one bit. I was only tolerating him because of you." Mr Robert said.
"Let's sever ties with him for good. He's a bad man. How could he stoop low to embarrass his son-in-law that way? He's indeed an evil man who needs to be separated from us for good." The last man added, whose name I couldn't really recall.
I'm loving the way they keep saying those things about me unaware I'm listening to every single word. I wasn't acting as a friend towards them but to fulfill my goals of making a fortune out of them which I'm going to do.
The fools don't know I've every single information of their bad dealings and it's going to ruin their reputation the moment I leak it out.
"You know it's only cowards that talk shots behind a person and I didn't expect it from you bunch of morons." I uttered, stepping out of the bathroom.
"Do you know who you are speaking to Mr Malcom? How dare you insult us that way? Or don't you know where you stand among us?" Mr Hopkins barked.
"Spare me those shits. I do know each and every secret you are hiding from the world. How about starting with you first to show you how serious I am."
"What nonsense are you talking about? Are you trying to frame us because of what you did by ruining my party?"
"Something like that. As I was saying, Mr Hopkins, the dirty little secret you hide of your son raping that innocent eighteen year old girl is at the back of my palm. If you try to make a move to destroy me, you know what will also happen."
"Ho-- how did you know? Please, don't leak the information out." He begged, going on his knees which sent shivers down the other fools.
"Should I also expose your dirty secrets as well?" I asked the other fools who rushed and held my legs.
"You don't have to do that. Tell us, what is it that you want? We're sorry for calling you names."
"I'm not angry you guys called me names. I acted dumb when I should have executed the plans that made me bound you guys but right here and right now, you'll give me what I want or I'll leak the information out to the world."
"Tell us, anything. We'll do it but please, spare my family out of this." He pleaded, which made me grin devilishly.
Let's see how far they will go in protecting their kids. I'll make sure I teach them a lesson before making my demands.
SARAH'S POV
It's past ten and I'm really worried about Mr Russell. When I went to check his suite earlier, it was still closed which means he hasn't returned from where he went.
I wonder what has happened to him? Or what he might be doing right now.
I grabbed my night dress jacket and put it on before making my way to his suite to check if he was back.
I was surprised to see the door opened before going in to find Mr Russell at the entrance of the living room seating on the floor.
"Sir, are you alright?" I asked, rushing towards him but the smell of alcohol hit my nose.
"Let's get you to the bedroom, sir. You shouldn't have gotten yourself so drunk." I cried out, and placed one of his hands on my shoulder before slowly getting him up.
"Amanda, you finally came to me. I really miss you so much." He murmured, caressing my cheeks while I used all my strength to help me to his bedroom.
I finally managed to get to his bedroom behind laying him on the bed, laying next to him to catch my breath.
"You've to be strong for Max's sake. I don't believe what the man said but I know deep down you're a good man and you had your reasons for not getting along with him." I uttered, with a loud sigh while he kept mumbling his late wife's name.
After resting for a little while, I decided to get up and help him take off his clothes to make him feel comfortable.
I got up to adjust his position when I felt his hand on my hand as he pulled me on his body. I was surprised and totally lost drooling over him.
He was extremely handsome even when he's drunk. The smell of the alcohol was so strong that it brought him out of my spacing as I tried to get off him but he flipped me over and pinned me down, slowly taking off his suit and unbuttoning his shirt.
My heart was racing so fast that it couldn't stop. I hope it isn't what my heart is telling me that he's trying to do.
"Mr Russell, you're not in your right senses. I'm not Amanda. It's Sarah." I tried talking him out of it before he does what we both wouldn't like.
Before I knew what was happening, he moved his face closer to me before capturing my lips off guard.
