FEELINGS
CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR
ONE MONTH LATER
SARAH'S POV
It's really getting hard for me to keep hiding my feelings towards my boss. The more he is strict towards me, the more I keep falling for his charm.
I can't really help it because he's always in my mind and thoughts. I think about him almost every single day and moment.
"Mommy, what are you thinking? We've to hurry so we won't miss the sport today." Max's voice jolted me back to earth.
"Oh... I'm so sorry honey. I got carried away. I'll be fast with your shoelace and also get ready, okay?"
"Alright but mommy, won't daddy be coming with us?"
"We talked about this, darling. Your daddy is really busy these days and he said he won't make it. That's why I'm going with you or am I not enough for you?" I asked, faking a cry.
"I didn't mean it like that, mommy. I'm sorry."
"You don't love me just like your daddy, right?" I added, still faking the cry.
"I do, mommy. I love you and daddy so much. I just want daddy to come see me perform in the sport."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes mommy. You're acting like a baby." He giggled.
"Are you calling me a baby? I'll show you how to be a baby." I uttered, tickling him around the armpit.
"I'm just playing mommy!" He laughed and ran away.
"Come here, little baby." I called out running after him until I caught him.
"That's so much fun. Listen to me, honey. With or without your daddy, I'm there to see you win that trophy."
"Do you promise?"
"Of course. Your daddy is also going to be watching as you perform."
"How will he watch me when he's not going to be there?"
"I'll do a video call with him so he can watch you perform. Are you okay with that?"
"Yes mommy. I love you so much. You're the best."
"I love you too, my little cutie. Let me go get ready. Do you want to come with me?"
"Yes mommy."
"Okay. Let's go." I held one of his hands as we walked out of his room.
We're on the way to my room when we saw Mr Russell coming in our direction which made me flash a smile.
He was looking so hot and handsome in
"Daddy!" Max called out and rushed towards him while I stayed on my spot.
"How are you doing, champ?"
"I'm fine, daddy."
"Where are you both off to?"
"We're heading to her room to get her ready?"
"Is that so?" He asked, taking his gaze on me as I slowly walked towards them.
"Good morning sir." I greeted him, with my head down.
"Good morning. When you're ready, the chauffeur will drop you both off. If anything comes up, give me a call." He stated, as I still felt his gaze on me.
I felt my cheeks burning due to blushing. I've to admit this man standing in front of me has really stolen my heart completely and there's nothing I can do to save myself.
"Okay sir."
"Let's go, Henry." He added as they both walked away.
"Mommy, you're blushing." Max uttered, chuckling.
"Who taught you that word?" I asked in surprise.
"The girl I like in my class said so when I saw her looking pretty."
"Gosh! Let's go!" I uttered, holding his hand.
"Mommy, why don't you tell daddy you also like him."
"How did you know I like you daddy?" I inquired, squatting to his level.
"The way you secretly look at daddy says it all."
"Is it that obvious?"
"Yes but I'm sure daddy doesn't know."
"Thank goodness! Listen to me, Max, you have to keep it a secret, okay?"
"Okay but don't you want to let daddy know how you feel?"
"Not yet, honey. I don't even know if he will accept my feelings."
"I'm sure daddy will accept it."
"That's not how things work, Max. You can't force someone to have feelings for anyone just like that."
"Then, I'll help you in making sure daddy falls in love with you and accepts you to be my mommy."
"You're so adorable. You're still a kid and there's still a lot you still need to understand." I giggled and held on his hand as we headed to my room.
RYAN'S POV
I still can't recall what happened to me after the party in Paris. All I can remember is that there was a power outbreak and afterwards I found myself in my suite, badly hurt with blood all over my body.
I know something is really off and I'll find out what it is. I need to know how I left the party and who did that to me.
I'm sure today, I'll find out everything that happened that day. I've been undergoing therapy sessions with one of the best therapists and today it seems I've been having a little flashbacks but it was still blurry.
"Master, the therapist is here." Joe announced.
"Let him in. I need to find out what happened to me today. It's been a month now and I still can't figure out who did that to me." I spat in rage.
"Okay master." He answered and left.
After some couple of minutes, I heard a knock on the door and urged the person in as it turned out to be the therapist.
"Good morning, Mr Malcom."
"Good morning Mr Alfred. I want to undergo the vegetative stage today and find out what exactly happened."
"It's too risky for you, Mr Malcom. You still haven't recovered fully."
"I don't care. You've to do it for me today or I'll have a bullet passed down your throat."
"Please don't, I'll do it." He begged and rushed towards me.
"Let's start. I also want to get over it just as much as you do so make sure I recall everything today or you're a dead man."
"I... I'll try my best." He answered, shivering as he took out his tools.
"Please, lay down let me begin the session." He added which I did as he placed a lamp close to my eyes.
"Relax and close your eyes. Try to recall the moment you were in the party and exactly the faces you recognized at the party."
Instantly, I felt a ray of light, recalling how I met Jay at the Party along with Mr Hopkins, who invited me along with his friends.
**
I finally remembered what happened and how those men dressed in ninjas stole the pen drive which contained the evidence I had against Hopkins with his friends.
I don't think Hopkins is smart enough to do that knowing how I threatened him. He definitely seeks someone's help and I think I know who it is.
I'll make sure he pays dearly for what he did to me. I'll make him experience what he lost before today.
