Chapter 62

The limo stopped outside a building made of glass, I stepped out and took the glasses I had covering my eyes and put them on my head, I hadn’t slept the anticipation of today had droned on in my mind, thinking about the ceremony, the reception and most of all the dress, I didn’t want a flashy over the top dress but seeing that I hadn’t met the design team, the organizers or the stylist I was hoping that all the dresses that were dropped at my house would be a great indication of what they were capable off, I mean I loved the dresses and I hope that my style shows through their deco of the ceremony and most of all the reception. I walked towards the glass doors and the driver rushed past me and opened the door

“Thank you” I said offering him a small smile, he nodded, I walked in and the first thing I saw was the big chandelier cascading down in the middle of the room, to my left there are three armless and legless mannequins one had a purple suit half done with stiches running up and down holding it together, the other had a black suit that looked pretty much done it just needed a little touching up and the last had a long sleeve peach Crew Neck neckline and lace decorating the top half with a floral solid colour from the waist down “Its stunning” I said to myself and I looked to the right and the wall was lined with fabric from top to bottom

“Oh hello” came a voice from behind a screen at the back of the room, she walked around a long wooden table with a big sawing machine at the edge

“Hello” I responded, she had long brunet hair a slim figure and wore a black dress that landed just above the knees with a mini coat

“You must be Scarlett” I nodded

“I’m Anna” she said offering me her hand, I took it and shook it apprehensively

“Aiden said you would like to see your wedding dress” I nodded again, I don’t know why I’m so nervous, she is dressed elegantly, and this is a good indication that the dress will be nice as well right because if it’s not it’s not like I have time to change it “right this way” I followed her towards the screen and we entered a room lined with full length mirrors around the wall, she walked to the mirror at the corner and pulled, and it opened to another room “this way” I nodded and followed and there it was my dress hanging on a mannequin it has an elegant off the shoulder neckline with an exquisite lace bodice and a long column skirt and to the right there were diamond earing with a pair of Aveline 100 bow trimmed Jimmy Choo’s everything I mean the entire package was ultra-glamorous “from what Aidens told me about you I figured you won’t want a vail so I attached this off the shoulder cape, I hope everything is to your liking” she smiled at me

“Yes, it’s perfect” I said feeling the fabric and it felt as light as air, winter or not this is my dress, I hope the venue is nice and warm

“Would you like to try it on?”

“Yes, most definitely”

I looked at myself in the mirror and tears started welling up in my eyes, even though I would have loved to have been part of the planning process I have to admit that everything looks perfect so far, and this dress fits me like a glove, I’m just so happy right now, I pushed the dressing room door open, and it opened to the room of mirrors

“Surprise!”

“Oh, my goodness, mom…how did you know I was here?”

“Oh, my goodness Scarlett…I can’t believe you weren’t going to let your mother see you trying on wedding dresses” mom said imitating my shocked voice and face

“How can you also not include us either?” Lisa said coming out of the other dressing room with Sarah and Pam not far behind

“Wait… I mean it was not intentional” I said waving my hands frantically trying to defuse the situation I looked closer, and I saw that they looked beautiful in matching purple mermaid trumpet jewel neck long sleeve elegant floor length chiffon dresses with sash

“You guys look great, what’s the occasion, did you get all dressed up for me?”

“What do you thing happened, some lady called saying you need us and that we need to pack our bags and an hour later there was a limo at the door” Pam moved closer to me and whispered, “are you rich or something, what’s going on?”

“No, it’s nothing like that” she gave me a look “I’ll explain latter”

“What are you two whispering about?” nothing mom “you look good too, what is going on here?” I asked as I saw that she wore an elegant dress too “isn’t that the peach dress that was displayed out front?”

“Yes it is” Anna said entering the room with a champagne bottle with five champagne glasses, “seeing that the ceremony is tomorrow it makes sense that all of you try on your dresses at the same time and if there are any alterations we can get them done overnight” my eyes shot to my mother as Anna popped the champagne and poured us each a glass

“What?!”

“Mom I can explain”

“Tomorrow?!” I could hear the shock and anger in her voice

“It has to be tomorrow to commemorate the end of the Mass”

“What’s a Mass?” it’s nothing Sarah

“It’s rich people stuff” Lisa responded to Sara’s question in a whisper we all could hear; and mom shot her a look, I took a deep breath trying to calm my nerves

“Sorry ma’am” Lisa said hanging her head

“Okay, everyone stop, I understand that you are confused, angry and even frustrated but the bottom line is that the ceremony is tomorrow” I turned and looked at my dorm mates “and you three have to understand that we come from different worlds and there will be a lot of activities and vocabulary you won’t understand and you’ll just have to deal with that, but the most important thing you need to remember is to not piss anyone off, trust me if you do you will regret it” they nodded in unison making me realise that I was stern and I had never been this way with them before, they were truly getting to know the other side of me, I turned and looked at mom

“I know that we have dreamed of this day since forever and we had planned out everything to the tee, but things change, trust me I know how you feel, we are dealing with the Alpha here and as Luna I have responsibilities too, I was shocked too but what am I supposed to do? I can’t exactly say no and let the pack down. So why don’t we just enjoy this time we have together” I smiled at her hoping to ease the mood a little bit “I mean look at all of you, you all look fantastic, you guys in purple and mom in a peach mother of the bride dress, what do you say? Let’s take some photos and drink some champagne” I took glasses from the try and handed them out to them.

“You forgot one important fact in your little speech there” mom said taking the glass with a grin on her face

“And what is that?” I said smiling back at her

“That you look FANTASTIC!” she raised her glass “cheers” I brought my glass to hers and giggled as I drank

“Pick up the dress let’s see the shoes” Pam said eagerly clapping her hands, I picked up the dress revealing my beautiful Jimmy Choe’s and the girls screeched, mom admired my diamond earrings, Anna took photos of us in every pose we could think off.

When we got outside the limo was waiting “I can’t believe you’re leaving your dress”

“Me neither but Anna said everything will be ready for me tomorrow and that I shouldn’t worry, at least you guys have your dresses”

“This way ladies” the driver opened the door

“Where are we going?” I asked him as the other ladies stepped in

“To your bachelorette party ma’am”

“What”

“Yeeeeesss, bachelorette party, let’s go” Sarah screeched stomping her feet and hitting the roof of the Limo with the palm of her hand. They all looked excited, and it rubbed off on me

“Yeah, it’s my BACHELORETTE PARTY! We popped the champagne and toasted off the beginning of the wildest night of my life.
