Chapter 68
“What did you just say?” I choked on the words
“You’re pregnant and it’s mine” I pushed him out of the way and ran outside and threw up in the bushes, I sat on the porch and looked up at the forest surrounding the cabin, Xavier came and sat next to me, and I started feeling noxious again, I breathed deep trying to stop the throw up, it didn’t work, I threw up again
“Got it out of your system?” Xavier smirked at me
“I can’t be around you”
“What?”
“I can’t be around you; you make me sick”
“Wow and I thought you were a nice girl” he folded his arms in protest
“No Xavier, you are the one making me sick, I mean you stink, your scent is literally the thing that’s making me throw up”
“So, what? Are you going to be throwing up every time you’re next to me?”
“It looks like it, yes” I sighed grabbing my stomach feeling the nausea build up again his scent filled the air, and I threw up again
“Xavier, I can’t live like this, you said that I’m pregnant and that the child is yours, well at this rate the child will starve, there won’t be a child to speak off, if I can’t keep anything down the child you say I have will die” I looked intently at him
“Is that what you want?!” I boomed, he didn’t reply, he took a deep breath frustration plastered all over his face
“Please let me go, for the child’s sake” I pleaded, I didn’t believe a word I was saying, there is absolutely no way I’m pregnant, but I have to play my part and say anything to get out of here
“Okay, but this is not for you, it’s for my child’s sake” I nodded, hope building up inside me
“Stay here while I go clean-up”
“What?”
“You’re right” he smelled his pits “I do stink, it’s been months, to be honest I haven’t been taking care of myself” his face turned to sorrow, I got emotional for some reason. Why am I feeling sorry for him, he is a monster who tricked me, he is a horrible person, he tried to take my mate from me and now he has kidnapped me and yet I feel sorry for him.
“You wait here…I will be right back” he started heading back in the house, he stopped at the door, turned, and looked back at me “don’t try to run, it’ll totally piss me off” he growled his blood shot eyes staring me down, he turned and went inside the cabin, when the door closed behind him I took off.
I ran as fast as I could the darkness and the thick trees making it difficult for me to see where I was going
“Arya you have to take over, I can’t see anything, and the forest is too dance for me to smell anything”
“I can’t you’re too weak” she hissed
“We won't make it if you don’t take over” I huffed unable to continue running any longer, I had no strength, I couldn't remember the last time I ate and to top it all off I’ve been blowing chunks for over an hour, my vision blurred and I started seeing spots, my breathing quickened and became swallow, popping sounds filled my head and I saw black
Aiden's POV
“Hey babe, still sleeping” I whispered softly knocking on the bedroom door it opened and I peeked through, she wasn’t there, the bed was made, and the towel was still damp hanging on the bathroom rail,
“Babe…oh my Scar…are you in here?” I searched the entire house, she wasn’t’ there, I went down to the beach
“she is not here either, where could she have gone?” I sighed wracking my brain trying to think of where she might be
“Smell that” Reni growled sniffing around
“What, do you smell something?”
“Yes her scent is faint, but she was here” he growled sniffing the air again
“What is it?”
“Her scent is mixed with another strange scent; I can’t place it”
“Follow it… come on let's go” I turned letting Reni take over, he ran frantically through the streets.
I’m coming Scar, please be okay, I’m gonna kill whoever did this to you
“Why did you stop?” I growled looking at the entrance to the forest
“Her scent ends here?”
“No…it can’t…keep checking” I barked
“There are a lot of wolves here, her scent is muffled up with theirs and because it’s so faint I can’t track it”
“What do you mean there are a lot of wolves here, where are they?” I looked and saw no one around
“The Estoica pack is up ahead, let’s go ask for their help” I nodded, and Reni led the way

Buried deep in the forest is a stone mansion it looked carved out of the mountains, the doors were heavy, huge brown double doors with steel rims for handles, inside the mountain stone lined the walls, torches mounted on the wall illuminating the way, two wolves dressed like hikers escorted Reni down a narrow hallway, it opened to a circular room with hot springs, there were about ten men soaking and relaxing in the hot water
“What’s this? How dare you come to us in your wolf form?” the Alpha of the Estoica pack boomed hi wet black hair cascading down his face, his big muscular frame ready to attach and the rest of the soaking pack members glared at us
Reni growled getting into an attacking position, I peered through his eyes and saw everyone’s eyes in the room turning gold, they were preparing for their wolves to take over, I broke through the barrier and turned back
“Wait, everyone please calm down” I pleaded standing completely naked at the edge of the spring
“Speak now, who the hell are you?” the Alpha boomed again frustration radiating from him
“I’m Aiden Braveheart from the Lethu Pack, I’m Nathan Braveheart son” his expression changed, and his wolf receded
“Welcome Alpha Braveheart” he beamed with a big chuckle “come join us” he gestured for me to get in the hot spring, I obliged the heat from the water stinging me, biting my skin effortlessly
“What brings you all this way” he asked gesturing for the servers to bring the ice-cold drinks
“I’m actually here on urgent business… Alpha Gregorio I need your help” his face became serious, and he put his glass down listening intently “my wife disappeared, and I can’t scent her, I need your help to find her, I think someone might have kidnapped her” he cleared his throat at my words and sat up straight
“Three of our men have disappeared as well, it started happening three months ago, once a month when the men are on patrol one just disappears, just like that" he clicked his fingers "we have been looking into it but have no leads so far” he hissed in frustration
“Do you really have no leads at all” the frustration was killing me, and my stomach churned, I had hoped that I would at least find some answers here, but it seems like another dead end
“Well, there is a she wolf who was in the woods with her boyfriend a month ago, she said someone very strong attacked them and told her to run and took her boyfriend instead” my body shot up with renewed energy
“Is she here? Maybe she can lead me to where the incident happened... maybe I can find some clues there” he nodded clearing his throat
“Bring Sofia in here” he barked at one of the guys dressed in hiking gear, he rushed out and came back with a skinny tall girl with platinum blond hair “Sofia will you show Alpha Braveheart here where Santiago disappeared” she nodded and looked at me and gasped, fear radiating from her face
“Oh, my god it’s him,” she roared, inching backwards slowly and the room fell silent
“he’s the one who took Santiago!” my eyes widened seeing that she was pointing at me
