Chapter 123
Ethan was preparing to go see Calhoun and unlike what Kevin thought, he planned to go speak to Aria instead. He had become obsessed with Aria and he wasn't given up on her. He was going to have her whether she wanted it or not.
"Kevin, have you confirmed with his receptionist?" He asked his assistant.
Kevin checked his phone quickly for the confirmation message from Lawson's Group and saw that they had indeed confirmed it.
"Yes, sir. It is set." Kevin stated.
"Okay, I'll be heading out now," Ethan picked up his car keys and was approaching his phone when it started ringing. He picked it up and the name on the screen almost made him launch the damn thing across the room. Why was she calking him again?
"What do you want?" Ethan growled on the phone. Of all the women in had slept with, Sofia was the worst of them all. She was too clingy and she was the source of his problems. If he couldn't get Aria back it was because of him. He was a monster.
"Ethan, I love you very much. I want you so much... why do you keep doing this to me?" Sofia cried out. She was tired of the way she was feeling. She had been with other guys but none of them was like Ethan to her. Her heart only beat for him. His face, his lips, everything drove her crazy. she couldn't let him go no matter what. she would keep fighting for him.
Ethan clicked his tongue and Sofia held her breath. "I have told you this before but it seems, you never got the message..." He trialed. "So I will make this as clear as possible. I do not want you Sofia! I have never wanted you and I will never want you! The next time you call me, I will go to the police!" He threatened.
Since he was being charged for harassment maybe it was time for him to charge others too. In fact he would get a case charged against her. That would sort it.
"Ethan, please!" Sofia begged but Ethan had already pressed the end key. He needed to go fight for his love not speak to the one that took his happiness away from him.
He slipped the phone into his jean pocket and walked out of the room. He headed to his car and pulled the door open. He was about entering his car when he saw Kevin also making to open the passenger door.
"Where do you think you are going?" Ethan asked in a sharp stern voice.
Kevin stopped on his tracks. His brows knitted in confusion as he looked back at Ethan.
"I thought we were supposed to go together?" Kevin questioned.
Ethan's face morphed into a frown and he narrowed his eyes at Kevin. "No, we are not going together. I am going alone. Please go do something else with your free time!"
Kevin wanted to insist but he saw the stony look his boss was giving him and decided to step back. After all, he still needed his job very much.
Ethan got into the car and hit the door as hard as possible before starting it and zooming off as fast as he could. Calhoun had better prepare for him because he wasn't going to let Aria go no matter what he did. Sending him a court order was not going to scare him.
He got to the Lawson's Group in less than forty minutes and practically jumped out of his car as he started marching towards the receptionist.
"I am here to see Calhoun! My assistant called," he said with a smug look on his face.
Olga looked up from her files and almost shrank back at the face looking back at her. Ethan John was already known as a trouble maker in the company and they were all told to be strictly weary of him. She knew he was coming though so she composed herself and tried to smile.
"I will inform him that you are here but you can move on to the last floor so long," Olga said as she picked up the table phone so she could inform Sarah about the visitor they had been expecting.
"Thank you," Ethan said flashing her his pearly white teeth.
Ethan left Olga gawking at him as he moved to the elevator she had pointed out to him. This was like war for him. The last time he came to the building. He had been drunk and completely out of his mind. But this time, he was going to be in control. He would speak to Calhoun and the bastard was going to have to listen to him.
As soon as the elevator's door opened on the last floor, a woman with large reading glasses was there waiting for him.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Ethan, please Mr. Lawson is this way," she said and Ethan gave a curt nod as he started following her to the place her boss must have been waiting.
They walked pass a few doors and Ethan followed silently planning how he would treat the matter. First, he had to find a way to convince the bastard to withdraw the charges he had against him. That was what his uncle wanted. He would do that and then convince him to leave Aria alone.
"Come in sir," the woman said letting him through the door she had just opened.
Calhoun Lawson was sat on his office chair backing the window and looking straight into the eyes of Ethan John.
Ethan raised his shoulders and walked further with more confidence than he should have had.
"Hello, Calhoun," Ethan began stretching his hand for a shake.
Calhoun stared at the hand cautiously before raising his hand to meet that of Ethan. He expected the man to be more fearful but it seemed Ethan had lost his mind.
"Thank you for seeing me," Ethan said as he sat himself with a smirk on his face.
Sarah pulled the door closed behind her, leaving the two men to themselves.
"Okay, I'll make this quick. I am not leaving Aria no matter what you throw at me. So, take back the charges you got taken against me and we will be fine," Ethan stated confidently.
Calhoun corked his brow at him.
"Excuse me?"
