Chapter 58
"I have done the job, I made sure no other company would want to hire her in any position," the man said as he stood beside Alice outside.
She just couldn't wait for the drama to end. Finally, she was going to rest. Sofia was going to stop whining and crying about Ethan.
She was finally going to meet her peace.
It took more than twenty minutes before Ariana left the office with a small smile on her face. Lisa stared at her hands and she gasped. She saw the iconic envelope. That caused a lot of problems. A lot of people have tried to commit suicide after receiving this envelope.
Basically their life was over.
Alice barely glanced at her before she walked back to her office.
"How was it?" Alice asked her sister.
"I have never been proud of myself, That slut was not going to find any peace anymore. She would come back to beg on my feet for a job once more," Sofia said.
"Why was she smiling when she came out?" Alice asked her sister. "Lisa gave the right reaction but Ariana herself didn't," Alice remarked.
"She is just in shock, too bad I wouldn't be there to see her break down," Sofia regretted.
"Now that we have cleaned up this mess we have peace, we need to celebrate this occasion," Alice suggested.
"Yes, Today at your place, you can ask the girl to cook," Sofia replied.
"Yes, I'll call her to cook," she said before she grabbed her phone.
Sofia was contented, she sensed and saw the pain in her eyes as she spoke to her. In some way, she managed to make her heartbroken and that made her happy. She had finally got to see her enemy suffer, the beginning of her suffering.
Today, Ariana was going to see her pain, and what it felt like to be bruised by love. The one she felt when Ethan threw a check at her face. He paid her for the sex they had.
It had hurt her a lot. He had never behaved that way, Ariana caused him to act that way. Her embarrassment when Kelvin carried her out of the office. The way he held her simply made her angry. Now that she had Ethan she could make him apologize for what he did. Everything made her happy, she had to celebrate this hour and enjoy every second of it.
Sofia looked outside the office window as she stared at her leaving the building. This was probably going to be the last time she ever came here. She might pass the building but she would never be able to step her feet inside. She would have to relocate to the dirty houses on the far side of the city.
She watched as Ariana looked up. She smiled at her and Ariana returned the smile with a wave.
"I hate you," Sofia mouthed.
"I hate you too bitch" Ariana mouthed back before she showed her the middle finger.

The bag on Ariana's shoulder became heavy as she starred as Alice walked past her. Ariana looked at Lisa and she smiled. But the one on Lisa's face died the moment she saw the envelope in her hands.
It felt like it was in slow motion as Lisa gasped, she slowly covered her hands with her mouth as Ariana walked toward her.
"You overreact like this, someday I had to leave this work," Ariana said.
"But your dad, Aria, how are we going to do this?" She asked as she snatched the letter from her hands.
"I can pay for my dad's treatment with the compensation they give, I'll be fine," Ariana reassured.
"Okay, for the next two to three months you would be fine, but after that what will happen?" Lisa asked as she started to panic.
"It's simple, I will find a job before then. I have hope and I know the people I have to meet won't let me down," Ariana said before she heaved a sigh.
She wanted to cry badly, it was like a huge lump in her throat, she was holding it down, she didn't want to show Sofia how bad it has affected her.
The look on Lisa's face was heartbreaking, she was concerned about her friend. She wanted to find a way to help, but she couldn't lose her position, if it was up to her she would have followed her but if she does she would get sacked and Ariana was going to get mad at her.
"I will see you after work... this evening," Ariana said before she slowly walked away.
This was it, the end of being pushed by someone that barely gave her peace. She was sad and happy at the same time.
Ariana laughed a little as she walked down the stairs, it felt as if she was going to die. The dramatic music that played in her head was on its own side.
She didn't bother to hide the paper, she just walked with it in her hands. Some of the workers that saw it gasped and asked her who it belonged to.
"It's mine. I am free from the clutches of Alice Brentwood, don't be sad, be happy for me," Ariana said to one of the workers.
Instead of her being sad, the workers showed it to her. She was one of the best assistants of all time. She covered up for them in their weekly report so they wouldn't get sacked. But there was no one to cover up for her.
She had to go through it alone.
"We will miss you," one of the workers said before she hugged her.
"I will miss all of you too," She said before she walked out of the office.
Ariana turned around to look at the big building, it held a lot of lonely days. Now she had the time to visit her parents. She could finally see her mom once more.
She had an elder brother but he left home when he was eighteen, that was the last time she ever saw him.
So she had to visit them for at least two days.
