Finding Ravena
After crossing the border in the human territory, we were greeted with an open field of dandelions.
Due to the scarcity and dry land in my past pack, I could only get to discover a bit. I only saw a few flowers, but not like this.
It was my first time seeing a whole hectare full of flowers. I inhaled deeply, wanting to engrave this scent in my mind. I smiled widely at Creed, “Look, it’s the field of flowers.”
He nodded, “Yes, it is, now let’s go further. I couldn’t sense Ravena’s presence anymore.”
“But can we stay for a bit?” I motioned at the flowers, “It’s my first time seeing this…in my whole life.”
He looked at me strangely, “What? Don’t tell me you’re whole family kept you locked and hidden for you not to explore around your pack?”
I shrugged, not exactly, I was not locked, but I had restrictions due to my father being overprotective of me and not wanting me to get lost, plus I was an easy target for some..
Creed looked at me with an emotion. For a minute I read it as sympathy but it instantly vanished. “Fine, but we must leave before dusk.”
I nodded, excitedly running around. I don’t sense any enemy so I guess danger is still far. Well, the danger is just beside me, and he’s looking at me like a stupid pup.
I rolled around the field of flowers like an excited pup, completely wanting to stay for more. I blew some leaves, jumped around and when I remembered Ravena who might be in danger, I got tired, I slowly walked to Creed.
“Is that it?” Are you done?” He asked, his arms crossed as he waited at me leaning by the tree.
I nodded, looking a the field of floewers one last time. “Yes, now let’s go, we need to find Ravena.”
“Aren’t you going to pick one for yourself as a souvenir?” He asked.
I shook my head, “It would harm the flowers…I don’t want that.”
He sighed. Leaning down, he picked one, tucked my hair behind my ear, and placed the flower on my ear. “There w go.”
I passed, my heart pounding at his actions. I didn't expect him to do that…
I looked at him in silence, still in awe.
He smirked, lightly tapping my mouth to keep it from closing, “Stopaheadking, and let’s walk before the night comes.”
I skipped ahead, following behind him. I clenched my skipping heart from my chest, biting my lip.
“Aren’t you worried about Ravena?” I suddenly asked as he walked ahead.
“I’m not. I helped her grow up to be strong.”Cred confidently said.
I nodded, and couldn’t help but admire their relationship.
Although Creed is rough, he still keeps Raven by his side.
He must have treated her as family. “You’re like her brother.. I mumbled, suddenly couldn’t help but feel jealous. I have three brothers but I don’t have that type of bond with them. One was a scaredy cat, and the other was greedy for the throne and willing to push me aside just to get what he wanted.
“Yes, because my sister was killed.” Creed opened up.
I blinked… feeling sad for him.
“I knew it was my uncle’s fault, and I am blaming him for everything… He killed my sister, stole the alpha seat from me, and now he’s monopolizing and manipulating my subordinates. I could never forgive him.”
He loath his uncle…well, just like how I loath my brother. I don’t blame him for that. He has every right to be angry at the world and his uncle.
We continued walking. We were looking for someplace to rest when we saw a place full of people. Something loud is basting and my ears are ringing from the sound.
“What is that?” I asked, covering my ears...
“This must be a place where the humans gather. Maybe we could grab information here. Ravena liks to stay in places like this.” He said, “It’s a club.”
“A club?” I asked.
“Yes, they do sing, dance, and unwind here,” Cred explained as we walked further.
I cringed seeing some humans lying on the ground, completely passed out. “What happened to these people? Are they dead?”
Creed grimaced at the smell, “They take something called alcohol, they drink that and dance too much and end up like that.”
I cringed, “Wow, I still have a lot to learn from humans. Ha sounds like….hell.” I don’t think I would survive stain hr.
I could hear laughs from people. A huge line was on the door and Creed only walked straight ahead, cutting down the line. Some got angry and yelled at us. But Creed looked at the person who seemed to be checking and recognized Creed before letting us in.
All the humans behind the line kept on angrily yelling at us, irritated.
“Wait, Creed, are we going in?” I asked.
Creed just smiled. “You're not scared of the Fowler’s catching us?”
It’s like I just asked him a question that I shouldn't have. As if it was a crime and I deserved to be hanged.
“Haven’t you heard it yet? The Lycan King had already destroyed their base, and why are you asking? I thought you wanted to find Ravena…and this is one of the places she often goes by.”
I blinked. I was the only one left out here. Since this is my first time in the human realm, I feel self-conscious, as if every action I take is being watched like a hawk.
While Creed, I have to give it to him for naturally blending in with the crowd. He looks like he is experienced as if he frequently visits this kind of place too. Also, I looked like some random kid beside him as he towered over everyone. He stands out amongst the crowd.
“Don’t tell me you’re getting scared? Are you backing out now?”
I raised my eyebrows, sensing a challenge coming. I think he was daring me, luring me to enter into this pit. I saw some women staring hungrily at Creed. Looks like he got their attention. And Creed seems so used to it that he’s ignoring their stares.
“Oh, I was just making sure,” I replied meekly, looking around to see for any sign of Ravena. I sniffed the air amongst the sticky and sweaty air filled with human stench and I flinched, feeling like vomiting.
“Creed…” I called out, but he was already talking with a woman with blonde hair who kept on giggling and giving him love stares. Creed looked at the girl with a neutral expression, leaned in, and whispered something against hee woman’s ear. The woman’s eye widened, and her cheeks flushed before biting her lips and licking Creed’s ears.
I stood frozen, my heart-shattering at the sight. I never imagined Creed would let anyone other than me do that... I never thought he would be a womanizer, I guess he wanted to go to this place to find some human for him and enjoy this night for himself.
Ah, so that’s his true intention on why he wanted us to enter this place?
Well, well, Creed, I am not someone easy.
Angry, I looked at the crowd, looking for a man, and I spotted a tall man gazing at me from across the table as he slipped on his glass. His ocean eyes stared at me deeply, and through the loud music, I felt like he could see through my soul. Not in a creepy way, but in a way the hairs on the back of my neck rose from excitement. I sensed mystery and danger from him. I bit my lip, feeling scared but I pushed myself to walk to the man. He seemed to get my intention as he walked towards me too.
“Hey, beautiful.” He greeted me, his eyes still pinned on me, “I haven’t seen you here before, are you new?”
I smirked, putting on my game face, “Secret.”
The sexy man, who stood about the same height as Creed, chuckled as he licked his lips, “Want to have a drink?”
I leaned in and just like what Creed did, I whispered in his ear, “I think I want something other than a drink..”
The man paused, and then when it sank into him, he smirked. “I’d. like that…but seems that someone is angry.”
He motioned behind me and I saw an angry Creed looking at the man as if he could kill it in an instant.
He clenched his hands, his sharp jaw tightening, “What are you doing?”
