Innocence
What am I doing?
I wanted to laugh at his face right now. I am only reflecting on what he is doing to me. He started this, so I am just ending this. So why is he making it look like it's my fault?
I looked at him with a straight face, “Oh, I thought this is what you wanted, having fun with someone…” I replied, looking at him and feigning innocence, which only made his blood boil in anger.
He sharply turned to Creed, “You bastard, touch her again and you might never even be able to dare lay your eyes on anyone.” He threatened, which only amazed the man.
Creed grabbed my hand, “Nyra, let’s talk.”
I stumbled at his harsh grabbing, and I heard the man whistling to me, “Oh, Nyra, that’s a beautiful name…come find me after.” The man said, still unaffected by Creed’s threats. I don’t know if he’s that stupid or did not get Creed’s message clearly because he looks so laid back and relaxed that I am scared anytime, Creed’s hands will lunge at him.
I winked at the man, and I felt Creed’s hands tightening on my arm as he dragged me by a room on the corner which I am guessing is the comfort room.
I could hear some humans kissing beside us but it looked like Creed was still keen on being angry.
“What was that?” He barked, his face all red looking like he would burst in a minute out of anger.. but he still tried to be gentle yet his emotions were taking over.
I crossed my arms in front of me, not wanting him to be the only one angry right now. I do have the right to be mad at him. “You talked with a girl and even let her kiss your neck. Isn’t this what you wanted?”
“That was just so I could hide my rogue scent.” He answered defensively.
I scoffed, rolling my eyes at him, “And? You seemed to enjoy letting her touch you...”
He gnawed on his teeth, “I don’t want any man near you.”
I pushed him away from me, “Oh, including you? You're a male yourself.” He looked taken aback that I was refusing and fighting him, “You still haven’t marked me so why would I listen to you? it's not like-“
He kissed me. My mouth was sealed shut as his warm lips caved into me. His tall figure towered over me, and the warmth from his body was enough to melt the anger I was holding. His lips, magnetically pulling me further, were magically easing me. I was almost lost and almost gave up but I remembered my emotions. I do not want him to think that just kissing me angrily like this is enough to warm my heart and let him come crawling back to me. Kissing is the solution to everything because it is not.
He has to earn my trust, my touch. He has to work harder than kissing me if he wants me around. I pushed him back, this is not enough for me.
“Are you done?” I asked, wiping my lips with the back of my hand. He watched my actions and his brows furrowed, “Don’t tell me you are disgusted at my touch now?” I could feel a dark aura looming over him, his pheromones circling me, pressuring me, and squeezing me out. “What? You want to go back to that bastard?”
I covered my nose, trying to take deep breaths as I felt suffocated, “Yes, I didn’t stop you from going to the girl earlier, so why would you do this?”
He pushed me against the wall rather harshly and caged me with both of his big arms, “I know what you are doing, and it's working…it’s getting on my nerves, Nyra, do you want me to mark out right here and now? Huh? Want me to fuck you?”
“Creed…” I called out, barely breathing now. My chest tightened from nervousness, and I could feel that he was slowly turning into the dark Creed I witnessed.
“Nyra, if you keep acting like a brat, I won’t have a choice but to have bloodshed here. Except the blood will not come from the people but from between your legs..”
I shuddered at the thought. At what he could do to me. Right here, right now. I shouldn't have pushed his buttons. I shouldn't have gone this far. Now that I am regretting it, it's too late as his eyes were dead set on trapping me.
I bit my lips, “I dare you. Revealing our identity to the Remember that we are looking for Ravena here.” I reminded him, just to steer his attention away.
Suddenly, the door opened and I heard a human gasping, “Oh, I-uhm.I thought this was not occupied.”
Cred turned to the human and back to me.
Creed looked at me, “If you’ll leave me here, I’ll kill that person.”
I glanced behind him, seeing the human was shaken with fear, confused but couldn't move his legs, I glared at him, “No way, you are manipulating me.”
Creed seems to have done something to the man as it was trying to walk away but couldn’t. No way, does Creed have any special abilities? To have that person stop from moving…
“Creed, let him go, what are you doing?”
“You’re making me regret not marking you yesterday, baby, I’m just doing this so you would not leave.”
I breathed deeply, “Nothing is going to happen tonight, no bloodshed, alright, I said firmly to him.
I looked at the human, “Oh, we’re finished using this room. You can enter now.” I looked pointedly at Creed, urging him to let the human go. Creed stared at me for a minute before dropping something that the human could start to move now.
I motioned Creed to start moving too and I guided him outside. I felt like his owner walking him like a dog. He seemed to have calmed down enough.
“Will you return to that man now?” He asked behind me.
I sighed, “Just drop that topic, and let’s move on. Let’s find Ravena for now, okay?”
He nodded, following me. I walked through the crowd, still looking for any sign of Ravena. I glanced behind to check Creed but I found him glaring down every man who would stare at me.
I frowned, “Creed! Stop that!”
He turned to me, “Why? I have to make sure they know their place. They are looking at you like a piece of meat, Nyra.”
“Just help me look for Ravena!” I yelled.
Just then, a loud shrieking came from just outside. It was faint, and not audible for a normal human as the loud music blasted around us, but both Creed and I paused in alert.
“Did you hear that?” I think that was Ravena’s voice. I am sure of it.
“Let’s go out and check.” Creed guided me outside against the swarming sweaty bodies of humans dancing by the center.
“Nyra!” I heard someone calling me. No, Ravna calling me.
“It was Nyra, she’s crying for help!” I yelled, wanting to hurry now. But this time it was coming from a different direction.
“You go outside, I’ll go in the new direction,” I told Creed and was about to run when his hand grabbed me.
“No, Nyra, let’s go both.” He said, still calm but his tone sounded urgent.
“But she might need help. And I feel like she’s in trouble. She might get killed, Creed.”
Creed hesitated, sighed, and let me go. “Fine. Just call out my name once you feel something is off.”
I nodded and instantly ran away. I sprinted in the direction of Ravena's voice earlier and I stumbled upon the guy from earlier.
He was holding a drink as he flashed me a boyish smile that I admit some ladies would go feral, “You found me again, beautiful, it seems we are destined.”
I painted, catching my breath, “Uhm…I need to go.”
“Awe, that’s sad, but we haven’t had a nice chitchat. I want to get to know you more.”
I cringed, “But I need to go.”This man is slowly becoming a hassle.
He tried to sneak a peek behind me, “Where ‘s that man you were with?”
I just smiled and wanted to leave but he blocked my path, “Wait, I am still not done. It’s good that he's not here, he’s going to miss out on a ot of things.”
