~Kaiya~
Amy was still asleep. Josh had to go to a meeting, but I couldn't leave my charge. Normally I would have been there too.
Amy was getting worse and by the evening Josh was racking his brains about what we could do. We also call Mary and Peter again. But they were just as clueless. Unlike Amy, Mason was still awake and forbade us to drive to them. Even if you heard him say he was doing badly. Very very bad. His voice kept breaking whenever Amy was mentioned.
Amy stirred and groaned in pain. I laid the blanket a bit higher over the wolf's body. She was a pretty wolf. Their cream-colored fur, which mingled with black fur on their legs, was soft. However, she started biting me when I tried to touch her fur. I clasped my hand in shock and pain. Josh must have sensed that. Amy caught me, but the wound closed again immediately because it wasn't very deep. Still, Josh felt it 110%.
As expected, Josh immediately stormed into the room. Jonah behind him. "Who was that?" he growled menacingly and took my hand in his. "No need to panic. Amy bit me because I touched her," I said calmly. However, only half of that carried over to Josh. "Jona will take care of her," he pressed between his lips.
"No!" I said angrily and sat there petrified. "Yes," Josh didn't tolerate no. I wanted to contradict him again, but was stopped by a paw placed on my leg. "Go easy." Amy smiled at me before closing her eyes again. She was so exhausted. If I ever get my hands on Mason again, he'll be in for a treat.
I walked out of the room with Josh and went to sleep. It was already half past nine and we definitely hadn't had enough sleep last night.
~Jona~
Amy slept again. Even though she wasn't my soul mate, I felt a connection to her. It was more of a sibling relationship. That was probably due to my brother as they treated Amy quite like family.
Amy stirred and cried out softly. It was a painful scream. I'd like to take her pain away, but only Mason could do that. A tear flowed from her eye, down her fur. I could hear her rapid heartbeat. "Mason!" she screamed desperately and started kicking. I wanted to touch her and comfort her, but she bit my hand and started shaking. I got more desperate and called for Josh. Even if he wanted to sleep. I met him in the hallway and we ran to Amy's room together and Josh looked at the petite girl. She was still screaming and sweating profusely.

"Amy... I can't... I'm sorry.." I was not unfamiliar with these words, which came from the person opposite me, but they still touched my heart deeply. Like every time. Each time he said the same thing, each time I cried out in pain and each time it got worse. At first I was happy to see him, but his words were worse than anyone could guzzle from him. "Why are you doing this to us?" I asked. My voice shook and I cried. Yet again. "I'm trying to protect you," he replied. My knees gave way like the last time. It was the thirty-fifth time he said that. My next question would have been why, but this time I couldn't talk anymore. My voice now failed completely and my question was hurled into the universe. You would never find her there again. "I'm sorry," Mason breathed desperately before disappearing again. And I fell back into the well-known cold black hole.

"Fuck," Josh muttered, calling Kaiya and the pack doctor. Amy gasped and Josh became more desperate. He didn't show it, but I noticed. "Josh? I'm scared," I mumbled, looking back at the girl in front of me. She kept crying and screaming Mason's name. I transformed and tried to calm her down with my presence as a wolf, but she scratched me and pushed me away. Kiaya rushed into the room and she was totally panicked.
"Kaiya. She's the only one who might be able to calm Amy down." I suddenly murmured. Josh looked back at me. "Never" "Okay" both said at the same time. Kaiya was already transformed and Josh got upset. "Kaiya. No." he said and tried to control himself. But she just shook her head and climbed onto Amy's bed. Now that she was in wolf form, she could fight back if she had to. Josh growled and I pulled my head back. Amy also reacted slightly to him, only Kaiya, who was now lying next to Amy, ignored his growl. "Man Kaiya, why do you always have to do whatever you want," he murmured and I bit back a laugh. Kaiya actually calmed Amy down a bit. Even if she didn't stop whimpering, shaking and crying.
The pack doctor came up and gave them a quick check. "You have to do something" he murmured and left. However, that was easier said than done. Josh said we shouldn't enter his territory with Amy.
I didn't understand him, but Amy was more important than this idiot right now. She started calling again and called Mason again. She raised a hand as if to stop him, but he wasn't here. After that she whispered something like 'don't leave me alone' and then tears came again. They ran in streams through their fur. I ran my fingers through my hair in desperation. "It'll be fine" Josh said and slapped me on the shoulder. However, everyone in the room knew that a huge storm was raging inside Josh.
Amy calmed down a bit and Kaiya got up. It was a little uncomfortable sleeping as a wolf. Josh and she said goodbye again and I sat back down properly in the chair. I also fell asleep immediately as I was extremely tired.
"Jona...I miss him" Amy croaked as she woke me up. I immediately jumped up. But her form had fallen asleep again. I sat up with a sigh. It was half past nine and Kaiya should have woken me up a long time ago. Amy's breathing was regular and otherwise she was pretty calm. So I made my way downstairs to have breakfast.
"How is she?" Kaiya asked immediately and I sighed again. "Just fine now, she misses him" I said and sat down at the empty table. I got a bowl of cereal placed in front of her and I was poured milk. "I told you not to do that. I can do it on my own," I mumbled and received a punishing look from Kaiya. "Better thank you and hurry up. I'll hold the fort upstairs," she called and left the kitchen.
I turned on the radio and hummed along to the songs while I ate. Even if I would have preferred to sing, I would have been too embarrassed if people had heard it.
I lifted my spoon from my bowl for the third time when suddenly someone fell off the stairs. At least that's what it sounded like.
