~Arsen Storm~

Tonight it was time. It was a full moon and I couldn't wait to spend the night with Aurelia. I had put a dress on her bed for her earlier and hoped she would wear it. It was just made for her and certainly flattered her blue eyes.

I kinda got the feeling it wasn't the last night with her because I was very optimistic that Savanna would have a girl. So I wouldn't have to make her my mate. Even if I do, I'll still tag Aurelia and mark her as taken for other wolves. I don't care how bad Savanna thinks this is.

Tonight is going to be just wonderful. I feel the excitement rising when I think of Aurelia. As she claws at my back and is dominated by me.

It was midday and I was getting dressed in my tuxedo for tonight when Savanna walked into the room wearing a long red dress. She could barely walk with all the layers of fabric around her legs, but she didn't show it.

„Hey Baby."

"What do you want?" I mumbled in annoyance. I didn't like her outfit, she was way too overdressed for tonight. At least she couldn't dance well in that dress and I could use that as an excuse to dance with someone else .With a certain human girl, to be precise.

"I just wanted to see how far along you are," she squeaked in her voice that was way too high.

"Just about done," I replied, still annoyed, as I tied my bow tie.

Then suddenly my cell phone rang. It was the doctor. Did the results finally come? I can't wait to be sure.

I picked up quickly.

"Yes?" I asked in a calm voice. But I wasn't relaxed. Inside I was really excited about the result. This result ultimately decides the rest of my life.

"Here is Dr. malcolm I have the results of the blood test and now I can tell you the gender." I heard from the other end of the line.

Savanna overheard and moved closer to me.

"I am pleased to announce that you are expecting a boy."

What? Did he say boy? Or did I mishear.

Beside me, Savanna screamed with joy and jumped across my dorm room. For me, however, a world just collapsed. That's it.

"Thank you," I said coldly, then hung up.

All my positive feelings from just washed away. I thought about how I could still be with Aurelia, but the council of elders would never allow it.

The Council of Elders was a group of the oldest werewolves from each continent. They monitored each pack, set rules and checked whether they followed them. And unfortunately it was a rule for an alpha: 'If an alpha sires an offspring with a she-wolf, it is his duty to take care of the next alpha's mother and make her his mate.'

Still, that rule wouldn't matter, at least tonight. I still want to deflower Aurelia. I'll think about how things will continue for the two of us tomorrow.

I should have waited for my mate, how could I have made this stupid mistake? Hopefully I can get away without tagging Savanna. There must be another way somehow? What if I take my mate as a mate and still take care of Savanna and the kid? Or I'll take two companions. But I hated that thought alone. All I wanted was Aurelia. No more and no less.

Savanna suddenly stood in front of me, grabbed my face with her hands and gave me a fat disgusting smack, just like you might know your mother would. With that she snapped me out of my thoughts.

"We're having a son, love," she said, still happy, seemingly ignoring my cool gaze.

It was now dark outside and I was up in the ballroom with Savanna, Alpha Black and his Luna Emely.

This building was built especially for the mate balls.

The hall filled more and more with people and I often peeked at the door to see Aurelia. But she didn't come. Hopefully nothing happened.

"So, Alpha Strom..." Alpha Black addressed me from the side. "I heard you're going to be a father. You have a really nice mate."

"Yes, that's right. But she's not my mate."

"Oh no?" the alpha asked me confused. "I thought you Storms can't wait to finally find your mates and father offspring with her. The bloodline would eventually be stronger if the offspring were from the right mate ."

"I know, but I've been looking for my mate for a long time," I said, giving him a half-hearted smile. If he only knew.

Then I smelled it. She was here.

I turned my head towards the entrance and saw my mate running down the stairs to the hall. The sight of her took my breath away.

I studied her body in that dress. She just looked perfect. Beautiful, like a goddess.

Her eyes met mine, and then she gave me a small, shy smile before turning to the little pants-shit at her side.

A short time later, she and Steven were already dancing through the hall. They were simple movements that every child mastered. Still, I got jealous.

He had way too much physical contact with my little mate, I didn't like that at all. In addition, I should actually dance with her. Not HE!

"Would you like to slow down your speech?" Savanna interrupted my stare. She couldn't wait for me to introduce her as the new Luna.

I nodded and cleared my throat. The hall grew quiet and everyone stopped dancing.

"I welcome my pack and all the wolves who have gathered here today to spend the evening with us. I also especially welcome the Blackshadow pack. Alpha Hayden Black and his mate Emely did us the honor of attending our ball today."

Strong applause broke out. When it calmed down a bit, I continued.

"I would also like to officially announce to all of you that Luna Savanna and I are expecting a son. The result arrived this afternoon." It hurt to introduce Savanna as my Luna, especially in front of my real Luna.

I looked at her and could see the shocked look on her face. So it took her after all. She could feel the bond between the two of us. It only made me sadder when I thought about breaking her heart.

I gave her a sad smile.

"Is that a human?" Alpha Black suddenly asked in disbelief, pulling my gaze away from Aurelia.

"How? You mean her?" I said unknowingly.

"Did you let a human into your pack? If someone doesn't kill her soon, I'll have to report it to the council of elders," the other alpha threatened me.

At the thought of someone hurting her, I started to growl. Nobody harms my mate!

"I know the rules myself, but it's a bit more complicated with her. I'll only ask you once to give me more time." I threatened back this time.

All I need is time to figure out what to do with Aurelia now. However, my heart sank just thinking about getting her out of here to safety. Fuck, I'd take the risk myself of her telling people we exist. All that mattered was that she would be okay.

I looked around the dance floor again, looking for Aurelia, but she was nowhere to be seen. Eventually I found her at the edge of the ballroom with Steven and Inala.

Then I began to pick my way through the crowd. I wanted to dance with her. At least once.

When she noticed me, her posture became a little smaller. Why is she afraid of me? It hurts when she's scared of me.

"You look stunning, Aurelia." I complimented her when I finally stood in front of her.

"Thanks, Alpha," she managed barely audibly.

I growled, not liking that she didn't call me by my name. Then she winced.

'Great job Arsenic, now she's even more scared of you', I thought.

I held out my hand to her. Maybe I could persuade her to dance?

"Would you allow me one last dance?"

She nodded and I pulled her onto the dance floor behind me.
