~Arsen Storm~
Aurelia just left the ballroom with Steven.
So she really thinks Savanna is my mate? I could hear her disappointment when she said that. Unfortunately, she didn't give me the chance to clear up this misunderstanding.
Still perplexed, I stood on the dance floor she had left me on and stared at the exit she had exited a few minutes earlier.
I was stupid enough to tell Aurelia I have a mate. Why should I assume that she understands? She hardly knows my world. She doesn't know what it feels like to have a mate.
I came to my senses. It was all about talking to her. I finally have to enlighten them!
With quick steps, I also left the hall and followed their trail, which led me back to the pack house. However, her track was also mixed with Steven's more agitated, which I didn't like at all.
Today is full moon. I'm not the only tail-controlled wolf today.
With a queasy feeling in my stomach, I climbed the stairs to Aurelia's room, skipping one step at a time. Something wasn't right, I can tell.
Then I heard a low groan and immediately all my alarm bells went off.
No, they definitely wouldn't do that now. Not today. Not after I've decided to clear them up once and for all.
She is my mate! I'm the only one who gets to touch her in any way and the only one she gets to ever sleep with!
I arrived in front of her room in a rage. Without hesitation, I kicked the door and it flew off its hinges.
Then I looked around and saw Steven fumbling with his belt and looking at me in shock. I also saw Aurelia lying naked on the bed. Only a black lace slip covered her wet slit.
The signs were clear.
In other circumstances I would have enjoyed the view of Aurelia, but not when another man was about to sleep with her.
I felt myself seething with anger inside. I had never lost control like this before, but my anger half transformed me.
"YOU ARE DEAD!" I snarled at Steven. And I meant it as damn serious.
With a quick movement I threw him against the wall. He sagged and I had to take his life here and now, before Aurelia's eyes.
"Vampires!" Costa's mate's voice suddenly yelled.
I turned to her angrily. That was a pretty inopportune moment. I don't want to be interrupted when I'm protecting my mate.
"What?" I asked again threateningly. If that's a false alarm, then she's going to experience something.
"Vampires on our northern territory. Costa has already advanced with the warriors. They're waiting for you." She replied.
"FUCK," I yelled. This couldn't be true now. But I have to hurry, because vampires were a serious threat. "When I get back, you're dead little wolf!" I threatened Steven again that he knows what to expect when I get back.
Then I made my way outside.
I transformed outside. My expensive tuxedo tore, but I can buy a new one.
I walked north for a while, but I couldn't smell a vampire anywhere, nor could I smell Costa and the warriors. So I decided to use the Mindlink to ask where they are right now.
"Where are you Costa?"
"What do you think? I'm still in the ballroom." He replied immediately.
I stopped abruptly in my movement. What did that mean?
"What? Inala said that vampires are on our territory and you and the warriors are hunting them."
"I dont know anything. Inala left the room shortly after you."
Suddenly I had a terrible suspicion, which also made me feel afraid.
I immediately turned and ran back to the pack house.
Once there, I sprinted into Aurelia's room in my wolf form. I transformed back and looked around. You weren't here anymore. Inala was nowhere to be seen either.
They're gone.
I followed her trail and she eventually led me into the parking lot. There I also found Inala. When she noticed me, she flinched like I caught her doing something.
"Arsenic. I didn't hear you at all.", she said, visibly nervous. What the holy full moon did the three of them cook up?
"Where's Aurelia?" I asked, more than angry, but I'm also scared. When she's gone, then...
Inala swallowed and visibly looked for an excuse. However, I grabbed her throat and squeezed. She should finally come out with the language. WHERE'S MY MATE!
"I ASKED WHERE IS AURELIA?" I repeated my question even louder than before.
Inala tried to say something, but all that came out was a croak. But I didn't even think about letting her go. Someone has to be punished.
Suddenly there was a growl from behind me and the next moment my beta pushed me away from his mate.
"What's with the arsenic?" he asked, upset and angry.
"SHE'S GONE!" I angrily shot back at him.
"WHO?" Costa yelled back. Everything just got totally out of hand and got to my head. My mate ain't damn it!
"Aurelia. She's gone." My voice cracked as I voiced my worst fears.
"Shit man, that's no reason to attack my mate!" Costa was still seething with anger as he stood protectively in front of Inala.
"SHE HELPED YOU!" My anger returned. Inala distracted me so Aurelia could escape with Steven with someone who almost fucked her earlier! What if I find her too late?
"What?" Costa turned to Inala "Is that right, love?"
"She was afraid that you would kill her soon and I could understand that. She's human, after all, and you've killed people before! Besides, no one, including the rest of the pack, can understand why you let a human live with us at all." Inala said while looking at me.
My anger passed immediately. I knew she was a little scared of me. But I didn't expect her to be scared to death. I thought she would feel those feelings of mate connection too. But apparently I was alone with that. She didn't want me or she wouldn't have almost slept with Steven. But can I blame her? I also had fun with Savanna initially after I found her.
I started shaking my head in disbelief. I would never have killed her.
"I wouldn't even think about killing her. She's my mate!" I blurted out. Inala immediately looked at me in shock.
"She is what? Oh God, what have I done?” Inala looked down at her hands in disbelief. She knew what it felt like to have a mate. And that's why she knew how painful it is for me.
I have to find her before someone else does.
The consequences would be far too bad if Alpha Black tells the Elders about her and someone kills her before I can help her.
