Family
Astrid's Point of View
"Sign this one, and you’re done." The last statement that I heard from the lawyer was I finished signing the last document that would finally burn Atasha Green into the ashes of history.
I’m now legally part of the Crimson Moon Pack as Trisha Deveraugh. I could finally say goodbye to Atasha and to the Silver Moon. This is something that I should be able to celebrate.
It was a huge step for me to wake up from almost being buried in the pile of dirt, to being engaged to Zach Montreal, and now being a part of the Devaraugh clan.
I only need my eyes back from the witch and me being a Luna, then it would finally be the greatest history that should be written in the books. I should replace the history books and ensure that they are something that would benefit my future pups.
"Here, done signing all of it. Thank you so much. " I shook his hand and a celebration happened after that night. A very intimate dinner with my new family. Margaux embraced me and also his parents and two siblings.
His cousins were also invited to come, as were their distant relatives but it would be the grand reunion for the next two days where Drogo would be announcing to the Devaraugh the new family member.
The party was to have me welcomed to their family. Though I don’t know if everyone was aware that I came from the Silver Moon.
While we were helping give instructions to the staff and to check the decorations that were being done to the Mansion, I asked Margaux to have a private conversation in her workshop.
"Margaux, with this grand occasion's upcoming event, May I know if they’re aware that I’ll become your sister even though I came from the Silver Moon? "
"Only my parents and my other siblings know. My other siblings, Erica and Jonathan, actually don’t care if you're in the family. They have their own respective families already, and they knew that it would be beneficial to have you as my sister as part of our family. In fact, they’re also happy to know that the Deveraugh clan’s reputation is saved because of you. "
"It’s not just because of me, Margaux. We all do our part. So, what would be the information that they would be sharing with your cousins and other relatives? "
"Trisha, it is not just my relatives but "our" relatives for now. I’ll be calling you Trisha and no longer Astrid. So, you’ll need to get used to it. Okay? "
"Sure, so your father would announce me as a new family member?"
"He'd declare that you're my sister. The story is that you are basically my younger sister and you were once kidnapped ever since you were a baby. In exchange for money You were kidnapped by the Greene Clan from the Silver Moon Pack. "
I simply nodded as a response, then Margaux went on to the staff that would prepare for the grand occasion that would be happening in the next two days.
The beautiful white wedding dress that I’ll be wearing was prepared as well. My thoughts are now being shifted to Zach if that's what Alpha Gregory’s reaction was like. Also, what happened to Elijah and Atasha?
"I shouldn’t be thinking about those two, especially Atasha." I was thinking aloud when I decided to put on the wedding gown and see how it looked on me.
I hear a knock while I’m glancing at myself in the mirror. "Come in," I shouted, and the door opened and my eyes widened as I saw Beta Drogo go inside of the workshop.
"Hello Trisha, how’s my daughter doing?"
Hearing Trisha and her daughter in the same sentence from Beta Drogo was a bit strange.
"Doing fine. I’m wearing this dress to see if it still fits me.
You might feel it’s weird to call you my daughter now. But I’m being honest in front of you that calling you Trisha and being part of our clan makes me really happy. If you haven’t shown up here and stepped inside our domain, then this should not be happening. The future of the Deveraugh clan may perhaps be destroyed. However, you came here and you proved that I was wrong about you. You’re smart and talented. I’m happy to have a daughter who likes someone like you. I’m so proud to have you here, Trisha. You’re free now from the Silver Moon pack. "
My body was shaken and I was stunned by his words before I responded. He walked towards me and he gestured a wide embrace. He embraced me and whispered in my ear.
"You can now call me your father." Come on, say it, Trisha. "
"Father... Dad."
I was lost for words. I didn’t know him personally, and I'd only had a conversation with him a couple of times in my life. But his touch and words felt like a love from a father that I hadn't felt from my previous one in a long time.
"Thank you, Trisha, I’ll get going and help to prepare for the venue."
Right after Beta Drogo went outside of the workshop, Peter walked in and I became nervous as I knew that I had had some conflicts with him before.
"Hello Astrid, or should I say Trisha. The new member of the family. "
"Did you tell everyone from your family, Peter, that I came from the Silver Moon?"
"Maybe? Listen Trisha, As long as the interest of my clan is concerned, I’m totally fine with what’s happening, but I always consider you a treat, and I hope I’m wrong and you’re right. Actually, you've proven yourself; you’re different compared to my niece Melanie. You are a hundred times more evil compared to her. You’re able to get the trust of Margaux and my brother Drogo in your plans on taking this pack over. "
"Your hatred towards me doesn’t make sense, Peter, but you said something nice about me being more evil than Melanie. Well, that statement is so keen of you. Perhaps that’s true. However, if there’s anyone to blame here if I mess this up, it's you, Peter. You’re the one that brought you here in the first place. So stop playing the role as a good guy because you’re also breaking laws here. "
He took a deep breath and his right eyebrow lifted. Welcome to the family, Trisha. Sorry for being rude to you. I’ll get going now. " His statement before he closed the door.
"I’m putting you in your place, Peter. Don’t act like a saint." I sighed and checked myself in the mirror while wearing the beautiful wedding gown, but I was startled when I felt someone grab my back.
"Don’t move..." he whispered in my ear while covering my mouth.
