Plans Made.
London:
It amused me how innocent she could be and, at the same time, irritated me. Her reaction to my hardness was priceless. When her hands had brushed my dick, I felt the darned tingles erupt, alerting me of my need to have myself buried in-between her legs and have her back slammed on my bed while I made her scream in ecstasy.
I didn't expect that her running her hands all over me in the process of trying to feel her way to my hand would have me so fucking aroused. It was like every touch of hers set my soul ablaze. Now I didn't know what to say about everything because, to say the least, I was a tiny bit surprised but very interested in the new development.
I sighed, traveling down the hallway, narrowing to my left to take the stairs down. Heads bowed at my presence, voices echoing greetings as I walked past them in all my glory. I had been trying to dull my erection for the past twenty minutes, but what can I say? It had a mind of its own.
Now I was subjected to attending to Cane's report with a fucking erect dick. I was glad with my choice of trouser because it would do well to hide my throbbing member curtsey because of its thick material and baggy size.
I arrived at the training ground where Cane had requested I come down, saying it was urgent. I hated when I was summoned through a mindlink, but I didn't blame Reece and him for using it on me; they weren't aware of my immense dislike for it.
"What is it, Cane?" I asked the moment I spotted his red hair.
He was standing with men lined up to his left and his hands folded behind him. His Forrest green eyes were cold, with a calculative gaze. He looked like he was seriously thinking about something that was heavily troubling his mind.
He immediately turned upon hearing my voice and bowed. He signaled the guards to leave, leaving just him and me alone in the field. He cleared his throat, his eyes not wanting to meet my probing ones.
"My king, Doctor Miller, and I delivered the fake bodies like you had requested of us…" he began.
I tipped my brow at him, eyeing his countenance, before tilting my head at him with my hands in my pocket, waiting for him to continue.
"Reece had sent me a message regarding spies being sent out by the council to report back on how things are run here. Apparently the last spy sent didn't make it here, and rumors have it that he was ambushed on the way and his body found in the North Forrest." He paused, his eyes squinting a little as he thought back on his next line of words.
"The decoy had been placed in the North Forrest as well, upon your request. And this morning... The guards found something while patrolling."
I blinked at him, having a feeling that I knew the next line of words that would leave his mouth.
"They, uh, found the bodies lying on the eastern border with a note stuck in the guts of one of them."
"They sent it back to me. Excellent." I grinned, happy that my intuition was right. With phase one successful, Fuyu and I could move on to phase two.
"Let's catch this asshole. I'm feeling excessively hungry for beating hearts today. He obviously can't be working alone." Fuyu spoke in a deep voice that went an octave lower.
"Oh, you have no idea." I agree with him in a tone that may be perceived as sadistic.
"One of the guards, Hosé, managed to have a brief encounter with the hooded figure. He also managed to leave a deep scratch on him during the fight, but he's in the infirmary now. His left eye was purposefully injured. He claimed that the man had stabbed a dagger into his ear to escape from his grasp." Cane finished with a determined look in his eyes.
The first phase of the plan was to snuff out the attention of the mastermind by sending what I had constructed to the forest. There were three routes leading connectedly in and out of the northern forest to other intertwined parts that connected to ten main routes that led to the north, sound, east, and west. My guess was that if the mastermind was really operating in the North Forest, he'd have a main route for his exit and entrance, right? I just had to pinpoint those paths.
"Let me see the note."
Cane nodded and took me down to the eastern border, where the body was found. Guards stood alert, attentively listening for even the faintest ruffle of the shrubs.
"What bothers me most is the fact that he could sneak into the eastern border. Va'dneuver is one hell of a security freak, and upon being appointed as Alpha during your reign, after conquering his pack, the border we share with him, thanks to your orders on him reallocating his pack, is one of our strongest in the west." Cane spoke.
It is true that the former general was ruthlessly known for having an impenetrable barrier, but let's not forget that we were dealing with a wizard here. Whoever this was had exceeded normal werewolf levels and was attempting to achieve and surpass Lycan supremacy, and he was using special plants to do that.
I had read that Orkan could also morph your brain into something else if you survive a certain amount of constant exposure to a high dosage. Not only that, Miller had reported the presence of Josper, a flower that was rumored to be extinct, in the bloodstream of the two deceased men. My question was, How was he just laying his hands so easily on such rare plants?
"Unless this is not something that's happening on the spur of the moment, it was strategically planned for months—years even—stocking up on plants necessary for this. We're dealing with an asshole with a huge vendetta." Fuyu spoke in annoyance.
"Believe me when I say you don't have to tell me what I already know." I said it with creases of disdain on my forehead.
I surveyed the manner in which the bodies were dropped, noticing a trail of blood that led down a path. That must have been from when the guard injured him.
I scanned the area, looking down at the cluster of trees, trying to listen for the faintest sound. I was rather disappointed to hear only the ruffles of the trees, howls of the wind, and chatter from the woodland critters. I touched the ground, feeling the blood, and my, oh my, was it still warm. The heavy and metallic scent of Orkan slapped my nose, making my eye twitch.
Was this bastard crazy? Having your blood ooze prominently with Orkan and some other scents that I wasn't really familiar with was a suicide mission. What kind of sick bastard are we dealing with?
"A hardened one, I tell you now." Fuyu snarled.
My erection was long gone, as anger had successfully burned to the surface. From what I could tell, the bastard was still around here somewhere, and he was badly injured.
I growled, baring my teeth, as Fuyu stirred within me, eager to be let out to take a wild chance. It excited me that I'd finally get to have a confrontation with my beloved friend. A friendly talk wouldn't hurt, no?
"Fuyu, out now!"
My wolf rose to his glory, high on adrenaline. He was an adrenaline junkie, and so was I.
"I thought you'd never ask." He grinned wickedly.
"Get him, boy." I said to him,
A roar broke through my lips, shaking the forest to its core. My claws extended as my height increased, and my ears grew pointy as my shoes ripped. Fuyu's red eyes glowed, and his vision was faster and sharper than mine. My hair had turned ashen. I still maintained my human form because Fuyu only saved his full form for a one-on-one or bloody battle.
According to him, his full form wasn't something one should see easily. It usually comes with death. Only a few have survived after witnessing his dastardly form, and that was because he let them spread the terror he brought, but at the end of the day, they were usually left traumatized.
Fuyu could see almost everything, his speed on par with the wind. He dashed through trees, leaping over branches and rifts, sniffing the scent that got more prominent as he moved.
He twisted through turns and bends, ducking to slide through paths that he had created as a shortcut to get to the bastard.
"You seem to be having fun." I said it with a mischievous smirk.
"You have no idea how long I've waited to sink my teeth into that bastard. And right now, if there is no path that would lead me faster to him," He swung through a branch, bending over a tree to lead and catch onto another branch like a monkey. "I'm going to create my own path." He snarled.
Fuyu sniffed the air, grinning as he figured out the trail of blood that led down to a path, as he could hear water gushing down.
He followed through a thick path of trees, his feet moving quicker than I ever could. He slid down a ridge, barring his claws to break the fall, and landed with a big stomp on the ground.
"I thought you were going to fall because, honestly, I couldn't keep up with your speed." I casually shrugged.
Fuyu growled, "I always land on my feet."
He emerged from a line of trees, following the trail of blood that got larger. He paused in front of a stream, squinting as he took a look around.
"Someone's coming." I rushed out as I heard the soft and quick movement of feet against the floor.
He turned just in time to evade a dagger that oozed Orkan. It probably was coated with it, and from the trajectory, it was aimed at his heart.
Fuyu twisted, catching the hand of the fleeing mystery guy, putting him under his feet, and landing a stomp on his chest.
The person coughed out, blood flying out of his mouth as he choked on a gasp at the impact of what Fuyu had done to him.
"Ouch, that must have hurt." I said.
"I wish it hurt more because I'm not feeling any pain from him." He grunted.
He grabbed the person by the neck, watching him choke from the tight grip, and threw him against a tree. Multiple snaps echoed in the air, but Fuyu wasn't done.
He marched to his, seizing him by his hand, pinned him underneath him, and dug his face to the ground, dragging him through the floor to slam him on another tree.
The idiot cried out, feeling disoriented by the impact and speed of Fuyu's attack. He couldn't keep up and predict his next move. Even I couldn't.
Fuyu took slow, menacing steps towards him while the person tried to scoot back. His hand was very broken, and blood seeped from his mouth. His chest was stained with blood, and I could see the deep gash on his chest. I figured that was the injury the guard had caused.
I was really impressed and drafted a mental note to heavily reward this very guard for making me proud.
Fuyu grabbed the person, lifting him off the ground. "I didn't bother reading your note because I wanted to find you and hear you say whatever you had to say to my face. Now speak. You wanted me. Here you have me."
The person groaned in pain.
"No words? That's just sad. You should have thought twice before coming after me." He said this as he ripped off his mask to see his ugly face before sending him to his grave.
A young face was what we were met with. His brown hair fell onto his shoulders in messy waves. Fuyu stared at his badly bruised face. This boy looked nothing more than fifteen.
What the heck was happening? How the heck was a fifteen-year-old in possession of Orkan?
Fuyu tossed him to the ground, "who sent you?"
It was obvious that he was a messenger.
The boy sniffled, scrambling away from Fuyu in fear. He whimpered, black tears falling from his eyes.
"Speak now, before I rip your body apart!" Fuyu bared his teeth at him, showing him how serious he was.
The boy's eyes widened, and his body trembled. "p-please don't k-kill. I-I don't know his n-name. He said he had no identity, but f-from everything he had said, I-I guessed he was from the c-council. He said he was going to spare my family if I worked for him. My family has no pack because our father was an outcast. We were staying in a village run by a rogue Alpha when a raid began… He took b-boys my age and started experimenting on us."
Fuyu couldn't believe his ears. Whoever was behind this was beyond sick.
"What's your name, lad?" Fuyu asked.
The boy groaned, whimpering as he struggled to speak, "M-mathias."
"Mathias, you're coming with me."
