Chapter 55
<Layla>
Hmmph!
“Duh! It’s my fault that the gate is open? And you have a lot of money, why don’t you hire a bodyguard? And what do you think of me!? A thief?!”
Nate knows how to tease everyone.
He laughs and shakes his head.
His laughs are irritating the hell out of me. It’s like he is insulting me with his laughter.
“You were the one who said that you’re a thief. And for your information, my house is high-tech.
I rolled my eyes.
His house doesn’t look high-tech. If it’s hi-tech, why is his gate open?
“Help me from Jase. I'll give you money in return,” I said straightforwardly.
I don’t want to stay in his house for so long. I might die of irritation.
Nate looks at me in disbelief.
“What do you think of me? A poor?! I have my business; I have my sports car. I travelled the whole world. I can earn millions a day, even if I’m not doing anything. Save your money. I don’t need that.”
He said while focusing his attention on what he was watching; Nate was looking at his phone screen.
Maybe Nate is waiting for someone’s text message.
“Jase is gay; he likes me,” he said thoughtfully.
I walked near him and slapped my bag on his shoulder.
“You sadist woman!” He hissed.
I sat in front of him and crossed my long legs.
“I’ll do everything you want in return. Could you help me with one? I promise to give whatever you want to form me,” I seriously said to Nate.
I need the help of one of Jase’s friends. And no one wants to help me.
“Ay! Jase and I are in a relationship! Stop meddling in our relationships!” He said, irritated.
Because of annoyance, I grab the pillows and throw them at him.
“Why you don’t want to help me?! You must be happy because your friend will be in good hands.”
I’m about to cry.
“Before wanting Jase to be your husband. Learn to cook and do the laundry, kid. Jase likes neatness and cleanliness; he doesn’t like a lazy woman who only knows is to spend money on luxury things. You’re not his type.”
I got silent for a moment.
“Then I’ll learn how to clean a house! I’ll practise cooking! It'll lessen my expenses. I’m willing to change for him!”
I’m desperate as fuck!
“Now matter what you do and the effort you give. My friend won’t like you. Jase loves his money and won’t marry a shopaholic like you.”
“He likes someone!” Shouted.
“That’s good.”
“What’s good with that?!” I shouted in annoyance.
Nate leaned on the sofa and looked at me.
“What did you like about Jase? He is boring,”
I didn’t answer his question.
“Will you help me or not?”
“I told you, Jase is gay, and he likes me. We’re in relationships and hiding it from all of you.”
“Stop joking! Can you be serious?!”
I am already mad.
Nate smirked.
“If Jase likes you, he pursues and convinces Kier to be in a relationship with you. But he is avoiding you.”
That’s a slap to me.
“If I am my brother's cousin. Will Jase like me?” I asked in a lower voice, hoping.
Nate shrugs his shoulder.
“I am not Jase.”
Why did I see this stupid monkey? He won’t help me after all.
I was about to leave when he stopped me.
“Heh! Wait! Where are you going?”
“I will find a way! I realized I don’t need a paedophile like you!”
“Who told you that I won’t help you?” He smirked.
“I will help, but you must follow all my commands.”
I was offering him that thing, and he didn’t react. And now that I’m about to leave, he was showing my offer a while ago?!
I want to pull this man’s hair from his head to between his legs.
“You told me awhile ago that you won’t help me!”
This man knows how to annoy me.
“Help! I was teasing you. That was a joke. Don’t take it seriously.”
I looked at him and didn’t move.
“You don’t want my help? Okay.”
He was about to leave when I stopped him.
“I was shocked,” I get back my words.
He grins at me.

<Third Person>
“Bring that shitty dummy here.”
Kier’s bodyguards pulled Bryden and brought him in his front.
Kier is sitting on a wide leather pink sofa while hitting on a cigarette that Conrad gave him. He was his present for him.
“You never change,” Bryden commented when he saw him. He was tied, his hands were tied, and he couldn’t act a reckless move, and Kier’s men surrounded him. The whole place is guarded.
“Glad you know.”
Kier answered without showing any emotions; his eyes were back cold.
“You know that you can’t hide from me, and I am not yet done to you, Bryden.”
Kier’s voice brings calamity and shows no mercy; whoever steps into his plan will die in his hands mercilessly. He was heartless and forever be.
“Telling Shielyn that she’s adopted would bring you death; you are looking for your grievance,” Kier said to Bryden.
Kier knew his wife was adopted, but he never thought they might be siblings. The world is small to them.
Kier doesn’t want to tell his wife about her being adopted because she might feel sad, and he hates seeing his wife crying and painful; he prefers to be the one who suffers than his wife.
Bryden smirked, “bring it on man! Do you think I am scared?! She deserves to know. You had been hiding her real identity from her! If she founds out about it, what do you think she to feel?! She’s your wife and deserves to know about her real identity!” Bryden shouted.
His friend Kiero is insane and never treated; there’s no cure for him being a psychopath. He was pulling him into the light but going into the darkness.
Kier stands up, and in just a sec, he’s already in front of his friend and punches him. He is clenching his fist hardly.
Bryden spits blood.
“Get him out of here and torture him before sending him to his hometown!”
Kier commands his men, and he gets back in his seat.
“Don’t worry, I will bring your secret to my grave,” Bryden uttered before the men in pink suits pulled him outside.
“Bring those traitors!” Kier shouted at his men, and he clenched his jaw.
“Have mercy on me! Have mercy!”
A young man pushes his men in front of him. He looks scared and terrible.
“You should think twice before traitoring me,” Kier said to that young man.
“Who are you? I will give you the money! Spare me, and I won’t report you to the police, please; I’m b-begging you!”
The older man is shaking in fear. They are in a blindfold and wouldn’t see any of them.
“I don’t need the money you stole from my company.”
Kier mocked that older man.
“S-sir Saltzman?” He recognized his voice.
“A traitor and a spy in my company should die—your ally to the wrong person.
“Mr Saltzman, please spare me; I will bring back the money!” He’s still shaking in fear.
Kier hit again with his cigarette.
“Sir Saltzman, please, I am not a spy.!” The young man is begging for his mercy.
“Huh, you still have the guts to lie to me; how about I will cut your tongue? Isn’t amazing?” He threatens him.
“Sir, I don’t dare to lie!” He started to cry.
“I was in a desperate situation; that’s why I did that! Please spare me! I can turn your loyalty to you, and if y-you want, I will s-serve you and b-be you s-spy to t-them.” He begs while having a hard time talking.
Kier didn’t speak.
“Sir, please have mercy on us! We won’t make the same mistake,” The older man begs for his mercy.
“Try harder if you want me to drag you down.”
“Sir, Saltzman, please, I am begging you; I was not trying to drag you down…” the old desperate beg for his life.
“Since I don’t need the two of you in my company, how about I will keep your silence forever?” He asked like a heartless man whose voice was colder than the ice.
The older man shakes in fear and keeps on sweating.
“That young man got his left eye and cut his head. While the old man cut his arms.”
The two shake in fear and cry.
“Mr Salztman, forgive me!” The older man apologized and kept begging and calling his name for mercy.
“Do you think I’m scared of you?” The younger man asked while a blindfold was in his eyes; he smirked.
Kier looks at him.
“I’m not scared of death, Saltzman,” the young man added.
“I experience many deaths -”
Kier didn't let the young man finish his sentence, and he shot him in the head.
The older man shakes in fear.
His men drag the two out of Kier's sight to torture them.
The younger man’s body was still moving; he moved in pain.
No one can ever bring him down, and his company, whoever dares, will die under his command.
Those idiots are timing his bad mood.
He clenched his fist, and his jaw moved.
If Bryden didn’t come into the picture, Kier's plan wouldn’t have been ruined. He will kill those against him in his way.
**
“Sir! Good morning!”
“Good morning, Boss!”
“Our boss is not in the mood again; we are dead meat again!”
“Maybe he quarrels again with his wife.”
“He will throw his anger on us again! I am not yet ready to die again!”
Kier heard those gossip.
The heads are following him.
“Sir, good morning!” His secretary greeted him.
“Heidi, call everyone and let’s have an emergency meeting,” he commands and fixes his suit.
“Sir! N-now? As in, r-right now?” Heidi stammered.
He looked at his secretary with cold eyes, and Heidi swallowed hard and ran.
“Abou you,” he pointed at the heads of his company.
“Warn everyone who dares to oppose me and do behind my back will be fired; I don’t care no matter his or her position in my company.”
“Yes, Sir!” They answered in chorus.
Heidi gets back to him, panting, “sir, they are on the way to the meeting room!” She’s catching her breath; it looks like she has run from returning here.
Kier stood up, passing by his secretary and the heads of the department; they were on his back, following him silently.
When he entered the meeting room, all critical people were seated in their perspective seats. His attention caught the man in a light blue tuxedo.
