[Rose]
"What did Aiden ask you?" I look at him, my gaze falling on my hand which was resting the table immediately. I never really looked him in the eye, I couldn't. Whenever I saw him look at me I did everything in my power to not let him bother me.
"He just asked my name. Then told me he is the finance manager of the club? That everyone knows him" he nodded. "Ya, we know him well alright, That motherfucker" He curses. I creased my brows in confusion.
"Rose, You need to be alert now. That man isn't good. You see him even looking at you, You come to me" Kaden said. I felt for the first time that someone cared for me, after a long time. "Or go to Coby" he continued after a pause.
"He probably wants to talk to you now. Just don't talk to him. Remember. If you feel like you are been watching come to us" Coby explains making me more uncomfortable. Why couldn't the guy just be a random creep I meet at the strip club which I never see again?
I am such a bad shit attracter.
"Why? What's happening. Am I in some kind of danger?" I asked, he gave sigh. "You are not. Not unless you are completely alone. Just stay near the staff in the club. I'll drop you home at night and don't go out alone unless there are people on the street"
I blinked looking away.
"What have I gotten myself into?" I mutter
"It's not you Rose. He has done it before" I looked up. "What?" I paused. they just stared at me. "Done what?" I asked.
Please let him be just a stalker. Not a damn murderer
"He tried to befriend a girl, new girl. Someone who didn't know him, made her do things for him. Just be safe" I put my hands over my face. I was so confused and irritated
If I could just run away. Help myself. I didn't like this, I did not like this at all.
"I gotta make a call," Coby said leaving us alone.
"I am scared," I said to myself, I did not relive the terrible days. He suddenly stood up and came beside me, I bite my lip. I could feet his legs touch mine. "You don't have to think much. I'm here. I'll be there when you need me"
"I just, I don't know what to say. Am I suppose to thank you?" he takes a sip of my coke.
"No. Just do as I say. And don't leave my side" I was too much of an overthinker, my breathing started getting heavy. Suddenly he took my hand and squeezed it. "Trust me?" I looked at our hands and nodded.
"Do I scare you, Roselyn?" I gulped. "Ya," I whispered, He didn't really. It was more of intimidating, than scared. "I don't blame you, but I would let anything trouble you" I smiled feeling relaxed, he let go of my hand as we see Coby walk in.
I only ate three slices. It amazed him since he asked me.
"You are done already?" I sip her coke, "Hm? Yes, I am full" Coby chuckled.
"Well, You really eat so less" I smiled
Well, habits.
We walked out the sudden loud noise of a dog barking sends me to grab Kaden's arm and lean on him scared. He looked at me and I realized what I did and I let go immediately embarrassed. But I wanted to stay near him for just a little longer.
He put his arm around the back of my waist guiding me to the car, It made me feel something. It was nice. I slap myself internally.
Coby wanting to go have drinks with a friend and left us alone.
"Leave it by the club, I'll come back tomorrow," he said throwing his keys at Kaden.
"Will he be okay?" I asked staring as he walked away. "Ya, he has people who he stays over at night when drunk," He said opening the door for me.
"Thank you," I said getting in and smiling.
The day following was much better, I had gotten lucky that week. So I went shopping. I never really was into branded clothes. For me, anything was good if it fit and made me look nice. I got a lot of flowers and pots and a bunch of seedlings to put on the balcony of that apartment.
I wasn't as comfortable at night. But the bustling street below me gave me a better sleep knowing that there were people around.
I take my stuff and walk off the stage, My eyes following Kaden and he walked towards me. He was acting like that since I got here. Everyone seemed weird.
They were just trying to make sure I was with a person.
I was at the back of the room touching up my lips when I heard Carrie
"Honey, if this will be going around I suggest you just pause coming here for some time till things cool off" Carried said.
"I can't ask her to quit her job, Carrie. Even if I don't see myself liking it for her. I can't tell her what to do. I just have to make sure she is untouchable. I cannot take any chances"
She chuckled.
"Just tell me you fancy her" I didn't hear anything after that. Just the door closing.
[Kaden]
"Honey, if this will be going around I suggest you just pause coming here for some time till things cool off" Carried said and I roll my eyes. I look at the girls around before coming to a conclusion that Rose wasn't near before speaking.
"I can't ask her to quit her job, Carrie. Even if I don't see myself liking it for her. I can't tell her what to do. I just have to make sure she is untouchable. I cannot take any chances"
She chuckled.
"Just tell me you fancy her" I clenched my jaw. Giving her a warning stare about never to speak about it again. Then walked out the door but feeling rather tied in my head. Was that the reason I wasn't to protect her at all cost ?
Did I like Rose? I wanted no man near her and no women to be pulling her into any serious problems I just couldn't stop thinking about her. I wanted her, I wanted her all to myself.
"Kaden, We have a problem" I look at Max. My eyes turning towards my men. One of the bleeding. "What's happening?" I asked. "Aiden, He was at your office. He was searching for the evidence you collected against him, about the trafficking and the about the scams he has gained from online thru bitcoins"
