Fight for life
She heard Felix’s voice behind her, stopping her but she didn’t listen.
While on her way, she could see Aunt Sereia laughing along with Vivienne and she clenched her jaw at this.
“Are you alright, Aurora?” Asked Uncle Phoenix and she just smiled. Her father from afar immediately noticed it but didn’t say anything.
She continued walking until she was outside.
“You’re acting weird, Aurora.” Felix started to say after a while.
Aurora frustratingly grabbed her hair, “Why do you keep following me?”
“Why not? I’m your best friend-“
“Come on Felix, you’re treating me like a delicate flower. I’m alright on my own now.” She said, Because of this, people were staring at them but she didn't care.
“Come on Felix, you’re treating me like a delicate flower. I’m alright on my own now.” She said. By this, people were staring at them but she didn't care.
Felix then pulled her to somewhere quiet and said, “Geez, I’m just being kind.”
Felix then pulled her to somewhere quiet and said, “Geez, I’m just being kind.”
She snorted at that and looked at the ground, “Sorry, I just want some fresh air. I’m going to the restroom.”
He nodded understandingly, giving her some space. “I’ll wait outside.”
And as she went to one of the stalls in the women’s restroom, she let her tears fall.
She stayed there for a few minutes trying to calm herself. She then splashed water on her face before going out.
Just then, she saw Reagan by the hall, leaning outside as if he was waiting for someone.
Why is he here? Wasn’t he a player from the game?
“Wha-what are you doing here?” She stammered. Tension filled the air and it felt like there was an invisible barrier blocking them.

He just stared blankly at her and he didn’t have to reply as a woman came out of the bathroom and it was Vivienne.
She smiled at the sight, “Hi babe.”
Reagan then instantly approached her, pushed her to the wall, and slammed his lips on hers.
“You’re so naughty..what about the race?” She asked and Reagan replied with.
“You’re so naughty..what about the race?” She asked and Reagan replied with.
“We were on break and I wanted to see you.”
Aurora watched everything happen in front of her, and she felt sicker than ever.
Wow. Really, how dare he. Right in front of her. Instead of getting hurt, she wanted to punch Reagan in the face real hard for being such an asshole.
Who was it who proposed to her when they were a child? Who was it who always stayed with her after all in elementary?
She wanted to give him a chance that he may have changed, but no. He transformed and the Reagan she knew in the past is no longer there. At least, he should have some conscience to talk to her.
That’s it. It’s over. This was the last straw and she’s so over it that her feelings for him even vanished like that.
“Aurora…I’m sorry I went to buy food…” Called out Felix’s voice and Aurora saw him standing behind the couple with some burgers and fries in his hands.

Felix’s bright eyes instantly turned into curiosity at the scene and he seemed to read the room.
Reagan broke the kiss with Vivienne and looked at Felix, “Good to see you man, how’s your vacay?” He asked as if nothing happened like he didn’t just make out right outside the bathroom.
“It’s good..” he answered awkwardly, darting his eyes back to Aurora and asking her what the hell was happening. Aurora just shrugged.
“Babe, this is Felix, my second cousin that I’ve been telling you about.”
Felix’s father, Uncle Eion, and Reagan’s mother, Aunt Sereia are actually cousins so they are considered as second cousins.
“Oh hey…” Vivienne said, her voice sultry as she shook her hand with Felix. Felix accepted, not sure what was happening.
Reagan then glanced at Aurora and introduced, “And this is…Aurora, my childhood friend.”
Childhood friend. These words struck her ears.
Vivienne then approached her and smiled, “Hi, you look beautiful.”
“Thanks.” Was all her reply,
She gave a look at Felix that says “let’s get out of here”
And Felix was quick to get that as he said, “We’ll catch up later Rey, go win the race. Good luck.”
And Felix was quick to get that as he said, “We’ll catch up later Rey, go win the race. Good luck.”
And with that, Felix pulled Aurora and Aurora felt like she was suffocated from there and breathed hard.
As they walked, Felix handed her the burger and fries, “Here’s your food.”
“Thanks.” She munched on it and tried to divert her thoughts from Reagan.
“Thanks.” She munched on it and tried to divert her thoughts from Reagan.
“What happened back there?” He asked.
Well, he has every right to know every detail, he missed a lot of things that happened in the last three years…but she can’t seem to tell him everything.
“You seem..off with Reagan. Weren’t you guys best pals?” He added asking, “Well, not that best since I’m your closest and best and most amazing best friend ever,” he said, lighting up the mood then continued, “but…what’s with the awkward look…is it because he has a girlfriend? Or he changed?”
“Both.” She answered.
Silence fell, and Felix stopped walking. He cornered her to a wall and looked at her straight in her eyes. Aurora gulped, not used to him being like this. Since he got taller, he was practically looking over her and she had to look up to look at his eyes.
“You like him…” he stated as if it’s the most obvious. “Just tell me the truth and stop being secretive, Aurora.
She sighed, no point in denying now. “Yes…”
Felix nodded, then asked again, “For how long? You didn’t tell me…”
She bit her lip, avoiding his gaze, “I thought it was just a silly crush that will go away…and he suddenly stopped talking to me last year. He changed, he got tattoos, he got piercings, he jumped from girls into another….but don’t worry, I don’t like him anymore.” She rambled on and on, not sure if she was making any sense anymore.
Felix inhaled deeply, then punched the wall, “Oh dammit, Aurora. I feel angry for you not telling me all of this!”
“You’re overreacting. I know it’s my fault but-“
“But what? Come on, he’s the reason why you are like this…isn’t it?”
He looked really angry and Angry Felix is something not to mess with. He’s scary when he’s like this. He can be funny and cute, but he can be this angry and intimidating…and Aurora guessed that he got this temper from his dad Eion which was according to Aunt Snow, Felix is like the younger version of Uncle Eion, especially when they are mad.
The first time that this happened was when someone was bullying her from school and mocked her that her teeth were missing. What Felix did was punch the boy after class, which has made the bully lose his teeth.
Gosh, Aurora could clearly remember that incident as he said those words, “Now you are missing a tooth too!” And that made him go into detention.
“Tell me, Aurora, he’s the reason why you are like this right?”
He repeated his question, making her get to the present situation, and Aurora couldn’t bring herself to answer it so she chose to be silent.

Felix then took this silence as a yes and clenched his hand, cursing under his breath. “Oh, the show's starting then.”
Aurora felt dread at this, “Felix, what are you planning on doing?”
“You’ll see it.” And he marched to where Reagan was earlier.
She followed him quickly and saw Reagan and Vivienne were still standing outside the bathroom, flirting with each other.
“Felix, what are you-“
Reagan’s sentence was cut off the moment Felix’s fist landed on his face.
