No pain no gain
Aurora felt dread at this, “Felix, what are you planning on doing?”
“You’ll see it.” And he marched to where Reagan was earlier.
She followed him quickly and saw Reagan and Vivienne were still standing outside the bathroom, flirting with each other.
“Felix, what are you-“
Reagan’s sentence was cut off the moment Felix’s fist landed on his face.
Vivienne yelled in surprise, and Aurora just closed her eyes, predicting that this will happen. If only she didn’t tell Felix about it, then things wouldn’t have to end with this.
Although it felt a bit satisfying to watch as Reagan glared at Felix with so much hatred. Damn. Considering how close they were, it must have shocked him.
Silence fell and Reagan yelled, “What the hell was that, Felix?”
Felix shrugged, “You deserve it for being an asshole.”
Aurora wanted to pat Felix on the back proudly but she stood quietly and watched the scene.
“Once our parents will know this-“
“Yes, they will definitely know everything that you did. You changed. Come on dude, imagine the shock once I just returned and found out you have been treating my best friend shit, changing yourself into something you’re not, and having lots of women around you. Is this a phase? A little rebellious fiasco? Because this shit is not clicking. Where is the Reagan I know dude?”
Reagan was too stunned to speak.
As if it’s not enough, Feliz faced Vivienne who watched everything and hiccuped a bit, “And Vivienne, if you’re in love with this asshole, then run. I know you can read the news of him changing girlfriends like clothes. Trust me, He only sees you as a fling and will change you next week. He’s a major red flag.”
Vivienne blinked at that, processing what he just said, and faced Reagan. “Is that true, babe? Tell me.”
“Babe, don’t listen to them-“
“Tell me!” She yelled, which made him sigh. “Yes. It’s true.”
Viviene laughed at that, “Well, that’s pathetic of you. Damn you bastard.” While Felix hit him on the right cheek which is now bruising, Vivienne then proceeded to slap him hard on his left cheek, which left a hand mark on his left cheek before leaving.

Reagan then glared at Felix, “You’re not getting away with this, Felix.”
“Yeah yeah. Threats and threats whatever.” Felix disregarded it like it was no big deal. Reagan was taller, but Felix stood more intimating between them. “Enjoy the race, I hope the crowd will see your bruise.”
Felix then glanced at Aurora and motioned for her to come, “Come on, that asshole doesn’t deserve you.”
Aurora caught Reagan glaring daggers at her and she just focused on Felix, “Yeah, let’s go home.”
“Let’s ditch the show. It was so boring anyway.” He said, and walked her to his car and drove her home. The ride was silent but comfortable as Felix turned on the radio.
Aurora dared to talk and break the silence, “You’re still angry?”
Felix glanced at her, “It’ll subside.”
She nodded, then spoke up, “I was the one he hurt, you know, but I’m alright now.”
He stopped and stared at her, “No, you’re not alright. I should have come home sooner.”
Just then, her phone rang and Dasha’s name appeared.
She sighed, answering it and pressing the speaker so that Felix could also hear it.
“Where are you?” Dasha instantly asked.
“I’m with Felix. We decided to go home.”
She could just imagine Dasha’s expression when she said, “What? You should have brought me with you! Did you know that Reagan is missing? The whole game was canceled now!”
Felix chuckled at that, “Serves him right.”
“I’ll tell your Aunt Isleen that you’re both alright.” And with that, she ended the call.
“Before we go home, want to grab some ice cream?” Asked Felix.
She instantly nodded and Felix parked at the nearest ice cream store. “I wish I could bring you to our ice cream store in the Philippines. You love Durian right? The durian flavor in ice cream is really great.” He started, and Aurora nodded.
“You keep making me jealous and want to go there, Felix. Really, one more mention of that beautiful country, and I’ll leave.”
He chuckled at her reaction, “If I get you a ticket, will you come with me?”
She shrugged. “I’ll think about it.”
As they finished eating and chilling there as if nothing happened, Felix then drove her back to her house.
“Thank you for this day, Felix. I’m really glad you’re back. You made this day awesome.” She said as she was about to hop out.
“I know. I’m awesome.” He agreed, “Goodnight, see you tomorrow. I’ll come and hang out again.”
“Yeah yeah. Bye!”
And she went inside her house. She was greeted by her parents in the living room.
“Where were you?” Asked her dad instantly, pulling her back to reality. Damn, she forgot she had to face this…
“I was with Felix…” She simply answered.
“We were worried, Aurora. You should have texted us. Good thing that Dasha informed us.” He replied, “Your mom was scared you were abducted by the enemies.”
She bit her lip, feeling her heart succumbing and guilty. She came in and hugged her, “I’m sorry mom…” From her previous job as an ex-field agent, she’s aware that her mom developed anxiety, which explains her very controlling behavior of her having to be trained every Saturday, having to be under her supervision 24/7, or having to text wherever she’ll go…And she completely understands that.
“But we’re glad you were safe.” Said Aiden, her father, then broke the news, “Reagan disappeared.”
She gulped at that. How can she tell them that it was her and Felix’s fault for his disappearance?
She shrugged and pretended to act cool, “Oh, I didn't know that.”
Her father and mother looked at each other and sighed before announcing dinner. Dinner was quiet and after that, she volunteered to wash the dishes to make it up to her mother and returned to her bedroom in silence.
Dang. She couldn’t deny that today was such an adventurous ride. She wants nothing but to sleep. Turning off her lights, and slumping on her soft mattress, she inhaled the scent and dug deeper into her pillow.
“Getting too comfortable?”
She stopped at the familiar deep voice. Slowly, she turned around to see a dark shadow from her window.
It was Reagan. Of course, it has to be bad. No sane person would surprise her like that, appearing out of nowhere. And how did he get in here? She closed her window perfectly earlier…
“How did you-“
Reagan then came closer, putting his fingers on his lips to silence her, “I believe we have lots to talk about, Aurora.”
