Heartfelt message
Dang. She couldn’t deny that today was such an adventurous ride. She wants nothing but to sleep. Turning off her lights, and slumping on her soft mattress, she inhaled the scent and dug deeper into her pillow.
“Getting too comfortable?”
She stopped at the familiar deep voice. Slowly, she turned around to see a dark shadow from her window.
It was Reagan. Of course, it has to be bad. No sane person would surprise her like that, appearing out of nowhere. And how did he get in here? She closed her window perfectly earlier…
“How did you-“
Reagan then came closer, putting his fingers on his lips to silence her, “I believe we have lots to talk about, Aurora.”
With her lights now turned off, it was all dark across her room, the moon offering its light she caught her breath, afraid to breathe as Reagan in front of her was glowering. She could only catch a few traces of his face, his brown eyes contrasting the moonlight, and his clothes are now changed into his black shirt and gray pants. He caught a whiff of his scent, his famous musk cologne that she was once dying to smell…
Gripping hold of herself, she opened her mouth to say something…anything to make him stop from staring that hard. “Then let’s talk.” She said.
Reagan scoffed and his hand reached to point at his face, “Familiar with this?”
Reagan scoffed and his hand reached to point at his face, “Familiar with this?”
At first, Aurora was confused at what he was referring to but then it dawned on her. In front of her were visible bruises on his right cheek, a mark left by her best friend Feliz earlier at the car racing event.
“Oh…” she breathed out. She wanted to curse at him earlier, and why the hell has he broken into her room, demanding about his bruise. Something about seeing that bruise on his face made her feel something…almost satisfaction and well deserved punishment for him. She then cocked an eyebrow, pertaining as if she was not nervous about the idea of him in her room, along with her.
No, Aurora. You don’t want him anymore, remember! She yelled at herself in her own thoughts.
Instead, she cocked an eyebrow, “And what about it?”
Reagan almost looked angry at her response, almost couldn’t believe it as he huffed. “What about it? What do you mean about it, Aurora?”
She held her breath, looking at him expressionless. “I mean, what do I have to do with that bruise?”
“Of course, it has to be connected with you. Your best friend Felix hit me. In front of my girlfriend. At my own damn special event. The two of you wrecked my special day.” He spat at her.
She glanced at the door, expecting her mother to hear the loud voice of Reagan coming from her room but she didn’t.
For a second, she wanted to call Felix for help, wanting him to come here but no. She has to face this alone with Reagan. They have a lot to talk about and settle.
“And what does it come with you crying to me about it. Firstly, I wasn’t the one who hit you, Reagan. Secondly, keep yelling at me and my mother will definitely hear you.” She said with a straight face.
Reagan was agitated by now. He clenched his jaw, “Oh fuck. Everyone in the house is angry at me, wanting me to come to you and apologize and not knowing the truth that it was you two who hurt me.”
She rolled her eyes and that was the last straw for Reagan as got closer, grabbed both of her hands, and pinned her to the wall.
“Why are you so bitchy?” He asked, this time looking at her intently. He asked it with a careful tone, and Aurora retorted with,
“And why are you such an asshole?”
“And why are you such an asshole?”
She expected him to come up with another comeback but no…Reagan instantly leaned in and their lips were almost touching. Aurora drew her breath at the sudden gap, stunned at their close proximity. They never got to this position, even when they were little.
And her hands should be pushing him away, throwing curses at him and yelling at him to leave but her body couldn’t even move. Gone were her pretend strong facade as Reagan still inched closer and pushed his lips onto hers. Her eyes widened, and she blinked, thinking this was all a dream of an image in her head but no…
She couldn’t even do anything as she stood there, gawking. She could feel the cold metal of his piercings from his lips and tongue as he asked for an entrance. Aurora couldn’t help but let him enter and his tongue made its way inside, fighting with her tongue. He swirled and twirled, and sucked, and French kissed her. And after a few seconds, Reagan’s lips curled up, smirking at her.
“You liked that, Aurora?” He whispered into her ears with his deep voice. “Wasn’t that what you wanted all his time? With all this drama and cute little attention-seeking tactics?”
“What?” She looked at him disgustingly and with all her strength, pushed him away with all her strength.
That made him chuckle deeply, “Oh Aurora. I know that you like me. I always knew it. I always catch your states whenever I bring another girl in my arms at school.”
“How narcissistic.” She mumbled and he turned to her.
“Why? Isn’t that the truth? Come on, I kissed you already. Just admit it so we can move on.”
“Yes I did, I did like you, Reagan. Happy now?” She said sarcastically, not imagining this was the way she could confess her feelings to him but screw it. Screw him. “But I saw your true colors now, and my feelings for you just vanished.”
He snorted at that, not taking her seriously. “Baby, I know you can’t.”
“Oh, I can. And I can find someone better than you, Reagan. Someone not narcissistic, arrogant, and an asshole.” She fired at him.
He seemed alarmed at that as he glared at her, “You can’t find someone better than me. I am the best.”
“You’re wrong, Reagan. I’ll prove it.” She said with a determined look, now making up her mind.
“Is that someone Felix then?”
He asked. “You see him as your best friend, but he sees you differently.”
At this, she grabbed him
By the throat. With her 5’7 height, Reagan’s 6’2 height still managed to tower over her and she had to look up slightly, “Awe, was the spoiled little brat hurt? Will she tell her father? Poor her.” He taunted and she gripped her hold to him tighter. “Don’t mention Felix’s name with your filthy mouth. And don’t ever taunt me like that ever again.”
Reagan just smiled at her, which made her become even more irritated. “You know what, you’re not even worth my time. Go and leave my room. Now!”
Reagan licked his lips and gave her a flying kiss, “Till next time, then, I had fun teasing you.”
“There won’t be next time, asshole!” She yelled as Reagan disappeared into the night, using her windows.
She heaved a sigh, feeling like her energy was drained out from her. That was the longest conversation she had with Reagan. And definitely the last.
Just you wait, Reagan. You’ll definitely regret that.
