Chapter 46 Murder attempt
“A-are you okay… let me see,''Sydney was desperate as she tried to inspect Alfredo's body. Just now, a gunshot fired their way and hit the window of Alfredo's car. Luckily, he got out of the way, ending up falling to the ground.
“I'm… I'm fine. Don't…” Alfredo muttered as he pushed himself up and grabbed Sydney's shoulders.
“No, did it hit you? Someone help me!” Sydney shouted for help again. The two security men had run to where the gunshots came from.
“I'm okay… see, It missed,“ Alfredo said, showing her his chest, Sydney didn't even know how she ripped his shirt apart revealing his upper body. Both were sitting on the ground, inspecting each other.
“Are you certain… how are you?” Sydney was in tears as she threw herself in his arms, catching Alfredo off guard. Sitting there with Sydney hugging him as if her life depended on it. Time passed by and Sydney sobbed in Alfredo's arms.
Both took their time, Alfredo relaxed as he held Sydney close to him. Letting her calm down before she slowly moved away from him.
“Are you done?” Alfredo muttered, cupping her face. Sydney sniffed while trying to move away from him.
“I'm glad you are okay,” she muttered and was about to move away when he held her back. Alfredo didn't let her go. His hands gently caressed her face, Sydney's eyes flickered open and met with his gaze. Soft with concern.
“I'm glad you are okay,” saying that he pulled her in his arms and tightened his grip around her body. Sydney was rendered speechless as she relaxed, letting the man do as he wanted. Both of them just had a scare. Someone tried to kill Alfredo.
“Sir,” a male voice brought them back to reality, only to find the two security men who ran after the shooter.
“Did you catch him?” Alfredo asked while helping Sydney to her feet. Both stood beside each other and waited for the man to speak.
“We tried, but he slipped away… please I advise you to report to the police right away,” the security man said and walked away heading to his post. Alfredo nodded and turned to Sydney.
“I'll drive you home,” he said and took her by the hand. Sydney didn't even say anything. Glancing back to the bush where the gun was fired from. She felt a shiver down her spine, just like Luciano, someone tried to kill Alfredo.
“Careful,” Alfredo said and made her settle in. Sydney nodded and strapped in her seatbelts. Both settled in and Alfredo drove away from there.

Olivia's eyes flickered open, her head felt heavy, and her vision was blurry. She was surrounded by darkness despite her eyes being open. Love tried moving her legs and arms, unfortunately she couldn't, she was tied up to a chair.
“She isn't the one, damn it” Olivia heard hushed angry voices. Olivia shifted her head only to realize she had been gagged.
“She's the one… the boss clarified it,” another male voice said. By now, Olivia was alert. Her eyes were fully awake as she tried to see where the voices were coming from.
“Then let's wait for the boss to come” soon the lights went on, causing her to shut her eyes instantly. The bright lights felt like a sharp blazed piercing straight into her eyes.
Olivia's eyes opened and found two men wearing masks standing before her. Scanning her surroundings. The place had large boxes stacked up. The space was little due to the junk things around.
“Hello, pretty princess… How was your slumber?” one of the men said, leaning down her face.
“How can she sleep fine when she's about to die?” the bald one said, swinging a gun in front of her. Olivia knew what was happening. Someone had abducted her. However, she didn't do anything. Her head was still spinning. It meant they drugged her before executing their plans.
“The boss will be happy to see you… I'm sure even in hell you'll learn never to mess with someone's husband” the bald man said mockingly. Olivia now got the bigger picture. Solange did this. How dare she kidnap her.
“I'm convinced this little bitch trapped the man… she's one hot meat,” the other man said and pulled out a chair. Olivia's sharp eyes darted around the place. Scanning the man carefully. They were harmed. It was likely they brought her to a warehouse.
“It's a shame she wronged the daughter of multiple millionaires” the two men ignored her and started talking. Olivia listened carefully.
“She should have known this… such a beautiful woman chasing after a married man… how foolish of her” like she wasn't even in the room. The two men continued discussing her. So, it meant Solange ran to her precious father for help.
Together, they did this, all because of Luciano. With ease, she started tugging at the ropes they tied her with. Her legs were restrained with no way of escaping.

Meanwhile, Pedro stopped his car just by the dark alley, a large warehouse stood before him. The area was restricted. Which meant no one was allowed to enter. The darkness of the room gave a creepy feeling to anyone who hated dark places. Two black cars were parked to the sides, hidden away. Glancing to the sides. She spotted several men dressed in black patrolling in the shadows.
As much as he hated dealing with such people. He needed to rescue the woman. Philips and his daughter had Olivia kidnapped, all because they were threatened by her.
“Boss. Should we charge in?” came Enzo, who just joined Pedro.
“Not yet… let's see what the old man is planning," Pedro said calmly and took out a cigarette.
