Chapter 50 Her birthday
Olivia stepped into the shower. She was feeling a bit bad. However, Pedro had done more than enough to take care of her.
The man was cold but caring, for a mafia man, Pedro wasn't so bad. At times, he appeared to be scary.
However, with time. She learned that every person has a soft heart. Olivia smiled faintly and finished up her shower. In two days, it will be her parents' death anniversary.
She didn't even know if it was a death anniversary, but all she knew was that. In two days it would be her birthday.
A year ago, she celebrated her last brother's birthday because now it was the cruel day when her family died, and her child was brutally killed.
Her little brother was innocent, Lalo had a bright future ahead of him. The Garcias did all that to hurt her. Olivia sat in her chair in front of the mirror looking at her reflection.
She didn't know who she was anymore. There was no more Olivia. She thought one day she would wake up and everything would be a dream, unfortunately that wasn't the case.
She was dead. Olivia Altamirano was dead and buried. She died alongside her family that cruel night.
“Pedro isn't here” Olivia muttered, reaching for her face. The eye contact she wore hid her beautiful eyes. Her pure blonde hair was gone and was replaced by a darker color. Even if she had to dye her hair frequently.
“Just a face… nothing much,” she mumbled and poked her cheeks with her finger. Did she feel pain? No, she didn't. Her heart was bleeding. Broken into a million pieces with no way of putting it together.
Glancing to the sides. She spotted the similar dress she wore at her 20th birthday party. There was blood, and rain pouring. The images flashed in her eyes so much that she couldn't take it.
Burying her head in her arms. A loud cry escaped her throat. Trying, certainly, to keep herself from hurting. The screams, the voices of her mom and dad shouting for help, echoed in her ears.
The images of her little brother smiling at him teasing him, then, boom, vanished in the fire. Shouting for help. However, she couldn't save them.
Olivia dropped to the floor, shivering. Gasping for air as she crouched, her chest. Her heart was twisting so much that she felt a sharp pain like a hot blade piercing through her heart.
Closing her eyes, Olivia curled in a ball on the cold floor. The white towel covered half her body. A tear escaped her eye and dropped to the floor.
“Mom…dad I'm sorry… I failed you” the words left her trembling lips. More tears leaked from her eyes.
After a while, Olivia got ready. She put on black leggings, a black T-shirt, and a black leather jacket with black canvas. She tied her hair in a loose bun and wore a cap.
“Are you sure about this?” Ira asked when Olivia was busy shoving the dress covered in blood in the bag.
“Yes… we need to do this” Olivia replied knowing full well the mission had to be successful.
“Okay… Gabby already gave us a signal… the Garcias asked Luciano to be taken home and treated there,” Ira said, and Olivia nodded. It was likely to happen. Antonia was scared her son would be killed in the hospital; hence she was taken home.
“Are you ready?” Ira asked, handing Olivia a gun. Olivia stopped what she was doing and scanned Ira from head to toe. Both women stared at the gun.
“This is for protection…just in case” Ira coaxed Olivia to take it. She swore never to dirty her hands with blood… However, in the mafia world. One had to be vigilant.
“I'll take it,” Olivia said and took him from Ira
“Fine… If anything goes wrong…just call me, make sure you don't overdo things” Ira warned, knowing what they were about to do was dangerous. Olivia could get exposed if not done cautiously.
“I'm ready…as long as we pull this off…” Olivia said coldly and packed everything she needed. Ira nodded helplessly and adjusted her cap. She, too, was dressed in black. With Pedro busy with work… Olivia decided to act.
“Come on…let's go,” Olivia said and both left her bedroom. Downstairs, Ira and Olivia toed towards the front door. Scanning their surroundings. Ira nodded at Olivia. Gave her a signal and both ran out of the villa.
Olivia turned to find all the security men lying on the ground unconscious.
“I gave them a treat…they won't wake up until six hours. ''Ira whispered as soon as they settled in the car. Olivia nodded and strapped in the seatbelts.
This was a secret operation between them. Maybe thanks to Gabby. She knew what to do in these three days until the day of her birthday.

“Careful…please be careful, he's my son, “Antonia said when the doctors were putting Luciano on the bed. Her son was still unconscious. She wanted to avoid leaving him at the hospital, knowing the killers might come again and try to hurt him.
“Make sure a nurse is here to look after him… I want you to watch my brother 24/7,” Alfredo gave the instructions once the doctors had set up the machines and everything needed to keep Luciano alive. Bianca watched from the side. It was good. Luciano was brought back home to her mom's house.
“Where is Solange?” Antonia asked when the doctors had finished with everything and excused themselves. The family was in Luciano's room.
“I don't know, but I asked the servants to show her the guest room… I'm sure she's freshening up” Bianca answered nonchalantly.
“Great… Everyone should rest now… I freshen up and come back to watch Lu” Antonia said and Alfredo nodded.
She left so Bianca didn't leave Alfredo to look after his brother.
Moving closer to the bed, a long sigh left Alfredo's lips as he stood before, watching his brother.
Luciano had a choice to back them. What hurt Alfredo the most was the fact that. He didn't get enough time to save Olivia.
He didn't know what his family was planning. They didn't tell him anything. When he heard what had been that night. He was ashamed to be called Garcia.
“You shouldn't have betrayed her like that…she loved you more than life itself,” Alfredo muttered, shaking his head helplessly. He always saw how Olivia and Luciano were.
“You loved her too… you should have saved her instead” the day was coming when all the memories would flood his mind. Olivia's birthday was the day she died.
Alfredo was scared. Scared for his family. What was happening now, was just the beginning. Soon karma was catching up. He was twice as guilty.
“I know you don't like me saying…” Alfredo started but stopped when he saw a shadow.
“Who's there?” he called out, walking towards the open window. He swore he saw someone by the window. Not something he could imagine, but he saw it.
“Who is it!” he shouted and, hesitantly, peeked out of the window and saw nothing. There was nothing below, just some bushes of overgrown flowers.
Alfredo scanned the area and it was dark. He was probably tired.
Returning to the bed. He pulled out a chair and sat down. When the lights started flickering.
Meanwhile, Antonia happily stripped off her clothes and wore a long white bathrobe. She had a long day ahead. She asked the servants to prepare a bubble bath for her.
She was aching everywhere, hence a hot soak in the tub…was what she needed.
Entering the bathroom, she flipped the light switch on and turned towards the bathtub when she froze. Her knees stiffened, and her heart thumped loudly as fear washed over her. Her entire body was covered in goosebumps, making it impossible for her to breathe.
“Ahhh!” Her loud voice echoed throughout the room when she saw what was written on the glass door. The water in the tub was red.
“Blood?” Antonia gasped as adrenaline rushed through her.
“No…someone help…someone come!” she shouted (HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVIA)
The words were written in blood. She panicked and turned to leave; however, the door slammed shut, and the lights started flickering.
“Who's there…stop this!” Antonia shouted in pure feet. Her face was covered in sweat as she tried to find a way out. She couldn't see due to the darkness.
