Soul Searching
Ragnuff Crescent Moon Community
Suddenly, Sacha couldn't seem to get Mekhi out of her head, and the memory of his tongue made way for a vivid radiating sensation to slither up and down her bud while her pvssy clenched every time.
Mekhi consumed her thoughts the entire night into the morning. Sacha had not slept.
While Zayne had shattered her heart completely, she thought of Mekhi mending it.
Sacha and her wolf had set their designs on Zayne from day one, and now she could not let go.
At least she believed she could not let go; it seemed impossible. Sacha thought Alpha Zayne was the wolf for her because he had saved her.
He was her knight in shining armor; he came to her rescue. Why would he choose not to be with her? She was fierce, and Zayne always complimented her work. She was gorgeous with a great body. What could be wrong?
Sacha never believed Zayne when he told her he did not mess with anyone from his community.
She thought that was something he said initially while deciding whether he was interested. At least that is what her wolf Athena had said, 'Please, that is his excuse while he checks us out.'
Her fixation on Zayne was embedded deep within. How does one move on from this?
And then, seeing how he readily took to Leandra, it had crushed her, but what Leandra had said stuck with her. Maybe she should back off, Sacha had thought.
She was mortified that Leandra was only here for a few days and had noticed enough to call her out. She had felt embarrassed that a she-wolf called her out like that. She wondered what they must say behind her back.
What were the members of this community saying? No one had ever stepped to her that way before. It was like Leandra had slapped her hard across the face.
Sacha could not stand the embarrassment and shame of herself and her behavior.
Goddess, how she must have looked so stupid, and what had she done then? Sacha still went and made a fool of herself, which is how she ended up in Mekhi's room, to begin with, when she did not get Zayne's attention during the dance.
He did not even look her way when she walked away with Mekhi. 'What were you doing? This has to stop!'
But on Saturday morning, Sacha had come to that realization, and by Saturday evening, she was thinking about Mekhi's upcoming date.
Sacha had avoided Mekhi every chance she got. She had felt his eyes on her during the meeting, and she was out the door as it was over.
Though Sacha had gone out of her way to avoid Mekhi, she knew he had not come home on Saturday night, the night he had the date with Mira! And something about that bit of knowledge did not settle right with her.
Did they have a history? Did he...? Sacha could not finish that thought.
By Monday of the following week, she could not take it anymore, and she asked him. This was on her mind for a week and two days before she cracked.
Because what she noticed was that Mekhi was not looking her way as much as he used to within the past week, and sometimes it was like he was going out of his way to avoid her.
After everyone had breakfast on that Monday, Sacha cornered Mekhi before he left the kitchen.
"Mekhi! Can I have a word with you?" She slipped in front of the doorway, blocking his path. Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked up at him, and her eyes narrowed.
"Yeah, sure. What's up?" Mekhi stopped abruptly and looked down at her questioningly.
"I am just gonna come out and ask, did you come home Saturday night?" Sacha asked begrudgingly.
Mekhi's features morphed into one of confusion as he said, "Saturday?"
"Yes, last week Saturday." Sacha clarified.
"Ahh," Mekhi now understood; he knew he did not go anywhere this weekend, so he wondered what Sacha was talking about, but now, hmm.
Now, he knew what she was asking.
He knew exactly what she was asking, and he was surprised. Completely thrown off by the question and her body language.
Mekhi tensed. No, he did not. He had spent the night with Mira. That was her one request to help. He had done it for the information on that USB.
Mekhi's spirits were crushed when he realized that Sacha had gone out of her way to hide from him after their moment together. He was so sure that she had no intentions of going any further with him, and he wanted to feel wanted, needed even.
And so when Mira had flirted with him all dinner and suggested they go back to her place for the night, he did not even think twice about it, convinced that he would never get that chance with Sacha.
And now here she f*cking was acting like a jealous girlfriend? Mekhi was confused, but he would not lie to her. "No, I did not; I spent the night at Mira's."
The NIGHT! He was with her for the night!
At Mekhi's words, Sacha had recoiled into herself, immediately imagining what he must have done to Mira all night. Was it what he had done to her?
Sacha had run away from his sight. Wow, even the wolf she knew loved her would still lie with another so easily and quickly.
"Sacha, wait!' Mekhi called behind her, but she had taken off running, and he was heading to meet Zayne. This will have to wait. But he wanted to tell her he would explain after.
Geez, what does he have to explain anyway? But the look in her eyes at his words.
Goddess, this woman!
That was it; Sacha could not be here right now. Hoping to catch the scouting team leaving this week, Sacha hurried to the training grounds and made her intentions known. Then she ran up to her room to pack a bag hurriedly.
She would leave for two weeks, or however long this trip would be, to escape, feeling now more than ever that nothing was keeping her here.
Sacha needed to clear her mind.
In that two weeks, she had gone from not wanting to give up her designs on Zayne to not getting Mekhi out of her mind, wondering what a relationship with him would be like.
Then, thinking maybe she needed to join one of those scouting teams and leave for two weeks, taking a break from everything and everyone.
After a few days of stressing about Mekhi's dinner, later, Sacha did some soul-searching. She had stayed away from Mekhi and Zayne and blocked her wolf Athena while she thought.
Sacha decided to back off completely. She had been going after anyone who even looked at Zayne the wrong way ever since she arrived, only to look like a fool in the end. She was getting tired of it.
Once she came to that conclusion, she began thinking about the possibility of being with a wolf that actually loved her.
Only for Mekhi to rip out her heart that Monday morning when she asked the burning question.
Nevertheless, Sacha wanted a break from all this. No, she needed a break, a change in scenery. A break from her everyday routine.
Now being out here was a welcome distraction. Sacha threw herself into organizing the recruits, checking them out, and taking their names and information - height, weight, etc.
Once that process was completed, they would then be prepared for transport back to Ragnuff Crescent, where they would start training immediately.
In some communities, the team got more recruits, while in others, they got two to four recruits. However, they welcomed all who would be willing, and this was more than they had gotten when Zayne was reaching out to those untouched by this.
Being out here, Sacha saw how these communities had fallen and how the Alpha's of these communities were working day and night to rebuild, while in other communities, the Alpha's had no hope for their people.
Those were the communities that lost over ninety-five percent of their population. These communities, Alpha Zayne, had instructed the team to offer a safe haven in his community.
He was willing to absorb their communities and welcomed their people with open arms. Giving the Alphas who lost hope time to grieve and face their losses.
And when they are ready, they could start again and rebuild.
