Can never claim me!
Aubrianne Ivanov
Interesting, Aubrianne thought. She had arched an eyebrow, and her eyes widened, then dimmed at the site, not that Daniel could see her face.
Next to the bed, about three feet away, more candles lit a pathway to a table and a chair on either side on a platform a few inches off the ground.
A shimmering white tablecloth spread over the table, and the cutleries were wrapped in a white cloth with lace material shielding it and clipped with a fancy silver broach-like clip, gorgeous white oversized oval-shaped plates.
So fancy, Aubrianne thought, her eyes slid across to two sets of glasses, one wine and the other a Champagne flute.
There was also a clear glass waiter with some condiments on them, medium-sized bottles of ketchup, garlic sauce, honey mustard, and pepper. Aubrianne eagerly wondered what dinner was, putting the bed behind her.
She was jumping to conclusions.
Daniel quickly prepared the table, unpacking the basket of goodies he had brought and dishing them out.
Aubrianne could not take her eyes off the spread before her when Leia said, 'Daniel is going all out for this proposal, huh,' Aubrianne told her to shut up and enjoy this moment with her.
Aubrianne wanted to be there in this moment. This was one of the many firsts she'd experienced since she got to this magical place. And now, she was out there to visit a waterfall.
Aubrianne had never been to one before, nor had any dreams or plans to visit one. Yet here she was!
Only then did Aubrianne look away and look up at the waterfall to her right. With her wolf eyes, she inspects the area.
The color was a gorgeous turquoise. Aubrianne took a few steps toward the waterfall, taking care not to slip on the rocky bank.
Oh, no, this was brighter. This was more of an aqua shade, as Danial said, flowing out from up the rocky cliff above and into the pool at the bottom.
Aubrianne could not wait to explore the pool and see what was behind the water that was falling nonstop. She leaned forward and peeked over, realizing she could dive off from here.
"Shall we?" Daniel spoke from behind Aubrianne, startling her. She quickly recovered and turned to glare at him. Daniel gestured the table to the side of him.
"Yes, we shall," Aubrianne finally answered, recalling Daniel's earlier question. Then her smile grew wider, a tint of blush on her cheeks, and she moved to the table while temporarily putting away her excitement to dive into the pool of aqua-colored sparkling water and focus on the dinner ahead.
She put her bag on the cloth that she had just noticed the table was on top of, or was it an oversized rug?
Nevertheless, Aubrianne got comfortable and sat up. Her bright eyes watched Daniel under the hood of her luscious eyelashes at first, then they rose and met his eyes.
Daniel was already looking at her. Aubrianne placed her elbow on the table, her hands up as she spread her fingers, gesturing the setup. "So...what's all this?" A curious look on her face.
Truthfully, Daniel was expecting this to be her first question. He did not think it would have taken this long for her to ask, but he was prepared. Daniel was ready before he left the jeep, believing she would see it and wonder what was going on the moment they met the slope.
Nevertheless, tonight he was not going to stall anymore; he would just come out with it, "I have something important I would like to share and discuss with you."
His eyes observed her reaction intently, "Oh, I see...well, this must really be important for all this," Aubrianne gestured to her surroundings again.
"Well, you are special," Daniel shrugged it off.
It was clear something was up with Daniel. He was blatantly staring at her with love, care, and desire.
Aubrianne was not uncomfortable with Daniel as Leia was with Cassius. While Aubrianne got looks of love, care, and desire from Daniel, Leia got creepy possessive, obsessive vibes mixed with lust and desire from Cassius.
It made her uncomfortable.
Leia is not interested in any wolf other than her mate. Even if she had a choice of mating and marking someone else, she would still want and choose her mate.
Aubrianne eyed Danial well for a good few seconds and sighed before responding.
"Truth be told, I myself have something important to discuss with you," Aubrianne told Daniel as she unveiled her meal.
Aubrianne gasped, an array of meats on her plate, from steak to ribs, lobster - cut in pieces, shrimps, and there was even gammon and chicken. Then on a smaller side plate next to the larger plate, there were creamy mashed potatoes, stir-fried broccoli, and carrots.
Next to that was some bite-sized shot glass full of the different sauces to spread over the meats.
For example, there was a spicy black bean sauce made especially for the steak, a creamy, tasty, well-seasoned mix was done for the lobster and shrimp, and so on.
And as if on cue, Aubrianne's stomach growled lowly, "Oh Daniel, this." She was almost speechless and at a loss for words. "This is amazing."
She loved it, and boy, did she bring her appetite, plus no one had ever done anything like that for her. Aubrianne's heart warmed.
The reality of why they were here was not something that Aubrianne liked, but the fact that she was experiencing this touched her deeply.
"Yea? I hope you enjoy the taste; I tweaked certain recipes for the sauces." He explained proudly, and he should be proud of his prepared meal.
Aubrianne immediately freed her knife and fork from their cloth and clipped prison and went for the steak first. Slicing a piece, she stabbed it with her fork, parted her luscious lips, and inserted it into her mouth.
Aubrianne bit down, pulled the fork out of her mouth, and moaned at the savory flavors that instantly attacked her taste buds.
She sliced the rest of the steak, saying, "Well, do you want to go first, or should I?"
Aubrianne glanced at Daniel to see that he had already unveiled and gently took his fork and knife out.
Daniel's mind was racing the moment Aubrianne told him she wanted to talk to him, and the way she acted as if whatever it was, did not scare her. He was hopeful.
Hope started setting in, so when she asked, he did not hesitate to say, "Please, you go first." While he as well started cutting up his steak, but unlike Aubrianne, he did not bite into it. He was cutting up the entire piece first.
Aubrianne began, "This is confidential information and not to be repeated," she looked up when she captured a piece of shrimp in sweet sauce and broccoli and put it in her mouth as she observed Daniel's response.
"To anyone," She continued. Aubrianne needed to ensure Daniel knew how serious she was about what she was about to say, even though her mouth was currently filled with shrimp and broccoli.
She was serious. "Right?" she said after sipping some water. "Yes, right!" Daniel acknowledged with a slight nod after a few seconds, and now he could not eat.
So he poured them some wine and resigned to watching and listening to Aubrianne while she enjoyed her meal.
"Thank you," Aubrianne spoke as she tore off a piece of the ribs. "You are most welcome." Daniel loved how Aubrianne was getting down on her meal with no care in the world.
He loved how free she was. There were no pretenses with her.
But Daniel was too curious to dwell on that too long. The way this started off, he figured and wondered if it had something to do with them, and he was relieved because this sounded serious.
So, just maybe, she wanted to approach him again and beg him to take her virginity? Because this time, he did not think he could withstand knowing this was exactly what she wanted, thinking clearly and all.
In the last encounter, there were too many variables and miscommunication. Now Daniel was well aware that Aubrianne wanted to experience things the same as she had said, and the Divine Goddess knew he wouldn't refuse her this time.
However, the seriousness in how Aubrianne spoke made him wonder if it was indeed about them. With words like confidential? He soon began doubting his former thoughts, wondering if he was leaping as usual.
Daniel was curious and puzzled and couldn't wait for Aubrianne to spit it out.
But sadly, nothing could have prepared him for what she said next.
"I cannot mate with any other wolf... only my mate." Aubrianne paused for maximum effect. "There is something that transpires between a white wolf and her mate during the act."
Aubrianne took another bite of the ribs, "Another wolf other than my mate can never claim me; they cannot mark me; their mark would not stick."
Aubrianne got it all out in one go. While she explained the end, Aubrianne stabbed another piece of meat, this time scooping off some of the creamy mashed potatoes, and into her mouth, it went...
Daniel's eyes narrowed.
