Night of the Ball – Egyptian God - 2
Aubrianne Ivanov
Nevertheless, there was a better time to discuss this, so Daniel shut off Cassius. It is not like they have to worry about that right now. However, he was becoming disturbed by his wolf.
Also, ensuring that they stayed out of sight, a particular individual kept their eyes on a specific waiter. She would observe her mate tonight and see what he was on about.
However, right now, she was staring daggers at Aubrianne as she descended the stairs like a Goddess.
Reaching the bottom of the staircase, her gorgeous eyes swept across the audience, boldly meeting their gazes, a small elegant smile playing on her lips.
Aubrianne gracefully placed her hand in her father's and allowed him to lead her.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let's head to the great grandeur room and start tonight's dinner, shall we? The mike man spoke with a flare.
The ballroom was picturesque, and so was the grandeur room.
The grand chandelier added to the ambiance, just like in the ballroom. The tables were set, and little name tags were on each plate setting.
Aubrianne had glanced at a small podium set up, and she grimaced at the thought of her father up there giving his speech and gushing over her.
She wanted to disappear.
Alpha Zayne Steele
After driving for two hours, Alpha Zayne and Delta Rafael ventured to a mall. They managed to sneak into the bathroom area unnoticed and washed off the traces of blood splatter on their skin.
However, there were splashes on their clothing as well. Alpha Zayne scanned them, "Ok, it is less obvious with your dark-colored clothing, so you proceed to the first men's store and grab us a few things."
Alpha Zayne pulled out a card and handed it to Delta Rafael, "Here, use this; get me a simple white shirt and black pants," Looking at his shoes, it was presentable. It was a square tip.
It was not the pair he planned to wear. Zayne was almost disappointed he could not represent himself in a big way, and it was not like he could take the time to stroll through this mall to find something he liked.
They were literally on the run, and Zayne was certain Thornton's men would be looking for them. This might turn into a nationwide search.
Sighing, "Ok, go ahead, these shoes will do." Alpha Zayne rushed Rafael off while he stayed behind, hanging close by the bathroom area as if waiting for someone who ventured in there.
He kept alert, constantly watching over his shoulders or in front of him or checking out the stores on either side, observing who went in and came out.
Zayne did not like the situation Thornton placed him in, still reeling over the fact that he was flagged at the airport. He thought his biggest worry was getting into the ball.
Nevertheless, he tried to stay alert and focused instead of fuming in his mind, becoming distracted.
Eventually, his eyes landed on a screen to his left, and his and Rafael's faces flashed across a TV screen. It was over at the electronics and appliance store.
Nevertheless, Zayne and Rafael needed to cut their shopping short. Zayne quickly mind-linked Rafael for an update and was told he was cashing, 'Thank the Divine Moon Goddess,' Zayne breathed.
He knew they would be arrested when he met Thornton, but at least he would be in front of the man. He cannot afford to be caught before that.
Else is straight back to the airport for him or, more accurately, the jail cell at this point before he gets to utter one word.
Soon Rafael came almost walk-running toward Zayne, and they quickly made it out of the small mall.
Rafael had grabbed some decent suits and toiletries for the night. Zayne just took a quick glance and saw a pair of black pants.
Now they were lying low at a motel not far away from the TL Crescent Moon Community, and Aragorn was pacing. Agitation mixed with excitement flowed through him, leaving Zayne confused with the conflicting emotions.
For some reason, Aragorn was a bit antsy and unable to stay still.
They had settled in, and Alpha Zayne contacted Jovi and asked him to monitor the police chatter. Now that their faces were out there, Zayne knew roadblocks would be set up.
He needed to know where so he could avoid them.
Wrapping up things with Jovi, he contacted Mekhi and updated him on what was happening and to have the lawyer ready to expect a call. He'd explained that the bastard had facial recognition, and somehow, he was not allowed in the city.
Though he was angry at the nerve of this man, he was also hurt that his idol would take the time to do this. Then he briefly wondered if this was because of his father.
Aragorn then told him it was apparent it had something to do with their father. Then he vented on why he should pay for his father's mistake. Nevertheless, he wanted to avoid further working himself up before facing this man tonight.
And now they were on their way to attempt to storm the manor. He sent a silent prayer up to the Divine Moon Goddess as they drove towards TL.
They would get as close as possible with transport and run the rest in wolf form. They each had their suits in a bag.
Given the high security and the fact the helicopters had been out and about in their number all afternoon, Zayne thought it best they stayed off the roads.
So many changes to his plans, but it was not like he was looking to impress anyone tonight. He simply needed to talk to someone.
And yet Zayne, being Zayne, was a bit disturbed. He did not get to dress the part when he finally met Alpha Theodore Thornton.
He wanted to greet the man looking like the Egyptian God that he was, well defined, not some rumpled man looking like he took the clothes straight out of someone's dryer.
And not the ones that leave your clothes looking wrinkle-free as if they were already ironed. No, it was the dryers that have your clothes so wrinkled up that it's embarrassing.
And then you would have the task of ironing every piece.
Nevertheless, thankfully, his men had scoped out this property as best as they could from the outside, so he had a fair idea of where he needed to go.
Aubrianne Ivanov
Dinner was delicious; Aubrianne was in awe of all that was happening around her; she was simply amazed, so she beamed. And could not believe the President of the United Nations of TL was here to celebrate her, Patrick Mason.
He was handsome, but it was clear that he was aging, but damn, man. He could get it, 'Goddess, such a wh*re. If I only knew my human was such a slut, I would have stayed bound.' Leia tilts her snout up.
Honestly, Leia did not mean it, and truthfully, Aubrianne would never be considered a wh*re. She had only slept with Daniel. How many can say they only slept with one person?
Leia was just livid that Aubrianne chose that instead of saving herself for their mate. She wanted to experience things, pssh.
But she would get past it in time.
Aubrianne simply rolled her eyes inwardly at Leia but said nothing.
Nevertheless, her table consisted of her father, his wife, her brothers, the President, and his wife and daughter, along with Ivan, Daniela, Daniel, Jada, Shawn, and Kirrah.
Her father included her people close to her, and she was grateful. As Aubrianne had entered this gorgeous area, she wondered if she would be seated with her father and his people alone.
As Aubrianne glanced around the room, she observed everyone having a good time, chatting and laughing. And there was a lot of flirting at those tables, plus two lucky people had already met their mates for the night.
Things were spicing up. But for Aubrianne, all she cared about was that people were enjoying themselves. Even the ones her father wanted to leave out were ecstatic.
Aubrianne's heart warmed, seeing that everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves at her party. She hoped they enjoyed their meal.
The lighting here was exquisite, the music played in the background, and it sounded like a live orchestra. However, it was melodious.
And Aubrianne sat in the middle of Jada and Shawn. Daniel was close by, waiting for his opportunity to slip in. However, Aubrianne was oblivious as she still had her peeps to buffer her for dinner.
Daniel did not come to her mind once. Dinner was over, and Aubrianne had gracefully gotten through her father's speech. Thankfully, he did not reach the end of the world and return.
It was short and sweet.
