Is my human Daft?
Aubrianne Ivanov
Mr. Grey honestly did not know what her mother told her or if she knew anything, so he cautiously spoke, "Relax your mind and let your wolf come forward. All you need to do is relax your mind. Allow it to go blank, and breathe in and out calmly."
Aubrianne first focused on her breathing. Coming down from all the adrenaline. She inhaled deeply, then exhaled a few times as her body slowly began relaxing.
"Empty your thoughts." Mr. Grey whispers. His voice was heavy with care and compassion.
Mr. Grey's wolf, Kodak, began to stir within him as if he recognized or knew something he didn't. Since losing our mate, it has been a while since Kodak was active in any capacity.
And suddenly, now, something caused him to stir.
'What is it, Kodak,' Mr. Grey spoke within to his wolf. Which felt a bit strange to him.
'I don't know, I am feeling a strong aura radiating from her.' Kodak finally answered. 'It feels Divine,' he whispered.
Meanwhile, Aubriane loosened her tensed muscles, and as soon as Aubrianne did precisely as Mr. Grey said and allowed her mind to go blank. The most beautiful white wolf stood before him in an instant.
He and Kodak were in awe. It was the most beautiful wolf they had laid eyes on. She was majestic in their eyes!
The white wolves were rare and pure. This is the first white wolf of their generation. One hasn't been spotted in over two hundred years.
They were powerful wolves blessed by the Divine Moon Goddess with unique gifts, plus her mother was a witch.
Mr. Grey and Kodak slowly bent in submission as her aura was powerful enough to even force them into submission. Kodak was powerless against her, and he submitted without hesitation, recognizing the superior wolf in the room.
Plus, she was Divine.
At the same time, Daniel had burst through the door and startled Aubrianne. Kodak growls at him, in fierce protection of this Divine specimen.
Well, simply because of the fact that he startled her.
Aubrianne stepped back clumsily, not being used to this. Being on all fours.
Daniel's eyes widened at what he saw, and he was taken aback by his father's reaction towards him. But seeing Aubrianne's wolf, he understood.
It was as clear as day for him. She was a sight to behold. He almost felt unworthy of gazing upon such a Goddess-like being.
White wolves were truly blessed by the Divine Moon Goddess in a special way.
'Our father is testy, but I can understand. She is extraordinary.' Cassius spoke. Daniel's wolf.
Daniel agrees with Cassius when...
Suddenly, the bond snapped into place as he and his father watched each other and looked at her again.
Aubrianne glanced down at her feet and saw white fur. She glanced back at the familiar faces and saw Daniel now down on his knees as one would bow to their owners.
His wolf was in complete submission and would die for her.
She glances up at Mr. Grey for answers; however, he looks like he is struggling with the same effects as Daniel.
Aubrianne made a sound almost like a whine while she shifted clumsily, and Daniel said, "You are my Alpha, and I am your Beta. I felt the bond click a moment ago."
Aubrianne simply dropped her head, laid on her stomach, and rested her head on her forefeet.
She didn't feel like moving at that moment or speaking. She wanted to sit still and try to understand what was happening to her.
However, she was happy they were here for her and seemed to know what was happening.
So, mom was right. I am a wolf. I must also be a witch, like she said. Which means witches and werewolves do exist. This means she had lived in a world for twenty-one years and knew nothing about that.
She laughed, but it sounded like a strange noise from her wolf.
Mr. Grey's phone constantly rang, and he finally broke from his enthralled state and stepped out of the room to answer. He knew it could only be one person. His Alpha! Aubrianne's father, Alpha Theodore Claude Thornton.
As for Daniel, he sat at the edge of Aubrianne's bed and gently stroked her back, trying to comfort her, his way of letting her know he was here for her and that he would take care of her and help her through this.
This was the most beautiful wolf he had ever laid eyes on. Her fur was as soft as silk and as white as snow. It was almost shimmering in the light.
She was beautiful, and he could no longer stand when those ice-blue eyes stared up at him. He had surrendered immediately.
She had a powerful aura. It was like something was unlocked in her because she was not like that when he dropped her off last night, Daniel recalled.
What happened from then to now?
He was curious to learn what went down that led to this breakthrough, but he was patient. He simply continued to stroke Aubrianne's back.
After a while, Mr. Grey returned to the room and said, "Mr. Thornton is on the way."
Aubrianne, in her wolf form lying there, can understand everything Mr. Grey is saying, so she growls in response and tilts her head to the letter discarded on her bed.
Making a sound, almost whining, in an attempt to emphasize.
Daniel, already sitting on the edge of the bed, slowly reaches out, grabs it first, and starts reading aloud.
Mr. Grey and Aubrianne were quiet as lambs as Daniel spoke. He stops reading at the confession of Thornton being her father and says, "and now it all makes total sense, in a way, but what I couldn't understand was why would he leave her after finding her over a year ago?"
Aubrianne growls in agreement, "Who says he left her? He was preparing for her arrival while having the occasional eyes on her. She would always go straight home from school and stay in all night. They would retire for the night by ten pm as there was no activity."
'Thank goodness they left at ten pm, so they did not get to see your 'extracurricular' activities late at night,' followed by lighter laughter. A strange, sultry feminine voice had just made herself known. Aubrianne jumped out of her fur and up from off the ground.
She felt as if she probably looked like a lost, scared, confused puppy.
'Calm down. I am your wolf, Leia. I won't bite,' and there was that light sultry laughter again.
'Really?' Aubrianne asked, a bit calmer now, and she was in awe.
'Yes, my name is Leia, and I am your wolf,' Leia repeats, wondering if her human was daft.
'I know, you said that already.' Aubrianne almost snapped.
'And yet you asked, really? Seems you were confused.' Leia explains.
'Uhh, do you talk this much? I was literally talking in my head. How weird is this to have someone actually talk back to you. I was just shocked, ok this is all new to me.' Because, hey, I talk in my head all the time.
'Ok, ok, as long as you are not daft, no wolf wants a daft human, just the same as a human doesn't want a weak wolf.' Leia sassed.
'Geez, no, I am not daft.' Aubrianne protested!
'Good, because I am not weak.' Leia declared, and indeed she was not. She was intelligent, cunning, fierce, bold, confident, and powerful.
'Also, when our bodies transformed, I could have immediately tried to get control and make myself known. However, I know you are just processing everything, and I wanted to give you that time.'
'You are strong, Aubrianne, remember that, and don't hate our mother. She loves you in her own messed up way.'
'So it's you who have been trying to come out since I was sixteen?'
'Yes, tried. But your mother placed a spell on us, binding your powers, me, your wolf, and your magic."
'Why would my mother do that?' Aubrianne asks, confused by her mother's decision.
'You will soon find out in her diary, don't worry.' Leia reminds Aubrianne.
'Yes, my goodness, I almost forgot about that for a moment.'
While Aubrianne had her moment, Daniel and his father simply observed her, as they could take a while guess and figure out she was talking to her wolf, presumably for the first time.
The first time many humans hear their wolf's voice, they all have almost the same reactions, shock, and confusion.
The confusion is for the humans that have dormant wolves, or they do not know that they even have a wolf, to begin with, given their circumstances.
And then, they soon find out for themselves, and there are the wolves that are expecting it and still garner that shocked reaction, just not the confused part.
And then some just begin to chat right back.
